IN its sorrow, it touches Gnominda, finally learning the good parts of senteince, joy, kindness and happiness. It finalizes a course of action. It sends all its forces to prevent Pyralis from sacrificing herself. It then communicates to all primordials that it will go to sleep, but on its own terms. It commissions the Artist to craft the park of Void Shaping with the Void's power. It then gives the result to the Void Dragons and Swarmlings and Death, thanking them for their service and requesting they help those the Void hurt. With all done, it goes back to sleep. The Children of The Void (Void Dragons and Swarmling and Death) settle in the Void, using the Spark of Void Shaping to create homes for themselves within their Progenitor.

Oh, I just need one more. Wasn't the Spark of Harmony cosmic?

Create Bacteria is apparently too broad so...unfortunate, but it does free some votes up. I only need one more.
By the way @gracnieumierac your vote has been overwritten by one of your more recent posts. You aren't voting for your own act anymore.
You also have one vote free; I would appreciate it if you voted for my act.

Without the boosts this is really hitting hard.

Yeah, after phase 1 high level acts (Universal and Cosmic is supposed to be few like 2-3 total per turn) while most acts are low and mid level.

And there really does not need to be this many high level acts.

For example
Holy Stone Land - The Elemental Primordials are going to be forming a new land eventually. Heck they are forming a new home for the Celestial Dragons right now. Elementals are still children of the Earth Mother so the last city has an inn.

Spark of Harmony, Darkness Rising, Sun Spark, Final Kindness - Any one of these acts can deal with the Void. and Even without them the Void is going to be dealt with by Pyralis.

Lowered it because the Spark of Harmony builds off of the Great Artist's Sacrifice.

Oh yeah, just going to do this in advance. Turn 5 is the last turn Primordials are going to be born ie singularly powerful beings born from a Universal Act.

So Universal Acts will have to be other universe defining actions rather than making an Uber God.

Maybe we should not push this hard. There are four acts, which able to deal with whatever happening. And even without them - there was way out.

My Action is Darkness Rising.
You want to resurrect Darkness and give some smaller aspects to it, right? I hope it doesn't burst.

To be polite, please go back and read the previous update again as a reminder of how bad the situation is. Mannan has said after that update that things were so close to falling into total grimdark, that the survival of the Thassalians shouldn't have even been possible and that he fudged things to make the sequence of events go just this well.
If we're overcompensating on making the world less bad, then I think that's a good thing as long as the acts in question don't have negative repercussions like Sun Spark.

I guess I'm getting a little paranoid for no reason.
Depends on what passes. Stuff like the darkness and the sun spark are likely to create new problems that will probably need to be addressed next turn. Darkness V nightmare and Sun spark likely going on a rampage.

Yeeting the gnome is pretty self explanatory on what it costs. I don't think harmony will be a major issue but it does kill off the spark guy.

Edit: Might change my act to help with the pepper garden.

To be fair the apocalyptic repercussions is because the players voted for an act that deliberately made the literal god of destruction active.

And I saw little argument against it.

Is there anyway to lower Final Kindness?

No. It is trying to change the mind of a Primordial who already had their personality set by the last action.

It would be Grand or even greater if it was just directing them to somehting they are amenable to doing anyway, but you are outright making do an 180 on its personality.

I was kinda playing as him - doing all my acts like he did them. I was planning on having the Spark of Genius this turn. And make other Sparks until the end of quest possibly. However, after all these apocalypse thing... It just seems like something, which should happen.

Edit: He cannot let Pyralis go back into the Pit without even trying to find other way. However, it seems right story-wise, that he cannot just make easy solution. He was searching for the right tool with his mother in probable future written in the chapter - they didn't find path to do it without sacrifacing Pyralis. So it is something hard, something which cannot happen without the Artist overreaching or doing something stupid (some may call it).

It builds a pretty cool narrative. A heroic sacrifice to beat an unbeatable enemy.

Would it be Grand to just change their focus? Like, make them attack something different first on their way towards goal?

Greater Actually.

Its current target list, in terms of who it is going to target next is:
1. 4 Elemental Primordials.
2. Celestial Dragons and Gods
3. Mortals
4. Pyralis.
5. Denizens in the Dream
6. Nightmare Lord.

Funny thing is, the Void cannot enter the Dream. It is made from the body of the Darkness after all thus inviolate to the Void's will so will probably leave the last two to Death (that is if she remains loyal).

At that point the Void will have nothing left it is capable of destroying. The Darkness resists, the Spike cannot be destroyed, and the Three are above reality weaving the Tapestry and the Three is fully capable of wiping the floor with the Void as it is not yet time for the Universe to end.

What about destroying itself? (I mean, after there are no targets)
Also, it is a bit unnerving to have Elemental Primordials at the top of the list. World should be rebuild afterwards and all. But it is the most reasonable targets for the Void.

The Void cannot destroy itself. If it succeeds in its goals it will just sleep until the end of the Primordial Era, the earliest the universe can be destroyed.

Well maturity and being able to understand the world around it means that it is actually smart and thinking things through to ensure that closest thing to the end of the world.

All of these are what ifs found by Pyralis as he scryed through possibilities.

Of course even if it does succeed the Hands still have their game and for things to rise back up the Hand that uplifts need to just win the game 2-3 turns in a row for a viable world to appear.

Of course Pyralis can't be killed by the Void and will just be stuck in the Void's gullet, unable to be digested so there is a chance of her just fleeing into the Dream and restarting reality there.

That is all presuming there is no player actions from henceforthe of course.
