Also smug elves? I mean most of MAD is already smug enough and most done thing close to magic already. But we could always brainwash magic user and give them long ear if you want, weirdo. Everyone know moon rabbit is the best spesh race.

You know, I am just going to dump Some ideas of mine. The catalysm is a long scale project, a large island for our organic minion and prisoner research needs. But as an Island it needs trees and as a space ship it needs a form of creating artificial oxygen, normal trees just won't cut it. Introducing the Whispy Wood.
This artificial tree can create and expel artificial air to point it can be weaponize and draw in objects with a mighty suck and Then blast them away. It Also produces apples. It can hide its face, meaning it can't attack but does blend in.
Worst comes to worst Eggman can robotize him into Clanky woods.

"If you want an island base I don't see why you can't just use electrolysis to separate the water into oxygen and hydrogen, the later of which can be used for fuel. It's still pretty Mad Sciencey considering all of the electricity that'll be flying about, but it's more practical than having to rely upon organics."

Ok, first, bad at spelling, second, unless I can create a Commander than organic tech is good so far. I mean, you know crawler from worm who adapts to everything you throw at him? Well same thing on a giant scale, hell organic tech is constantly improving at an un preceded rate. Kill 50 zerglings with a laser the next one will have adapted enough that the laser is useless. Add pokemon abilities and moves and we are cooking with fire. The only reason I suggested any type of organic tech is due to the fact that my replicators aren't up to snuff yet. I mean replicators combine all the adaptability of organic tech and the power and strength of hard tech. That is why I called it the block of infinite potential. Though it is at its most primitive stages so I need to improve it, so organic tech it is for now. Unless we can create the Kroks. Then everything escalates. Sorry if this is a bit ranty, thank you for your comments, it really helped me think outside the organic box. Ug, so much to do, so little time to do it.

"...practical...PrAcTiCAl...PRACTICAL!!! Practical is for those science schlups. Nah nah, mad scientist don't ask why, we ask why not. We don't ask 'is this practical' we ask 'How much does this fit our ego and theme'. If you want to make sense, then go join Henry in the 'sane' corner. We have MAD SCIENCE! here lady!. I mean, we could make a machine that does that and add it as an organ to the whispy woods but the woods are also defense. Also your idea does not give us lava to use for the vulcano. This is very important, how can you have a vulcano without lava?"

That is a Mountain, or a dead volcano. Also a volcano base will have a great ability for power generation. Thermal power, also if we can get a mineral extractor for the lava we could get a ton of metal supplies.

Like I said, Zerg and Tyranid Is SOOOOO not RADICAL and a fad.

Why aim so low like the zerg when we could get higher like Oracle Cell or Shards.

Either you go mass resource gain if we have a mineral extractor, or a flying volcano. I see the power of a massive amount of resources, but not in the flying volcano. It would look cool, don't get me wrong, but muh resources.
 
Anyway, I'm going to go back to my application and edit my intro post. I wrote it assuming that this Quest would be compatible with Destroy the Godmodder, but because it isn't, I'll have to change Lothyra's backstory to fit in with the setting better. Now, as to why she isn't full on MAD SCIENCE and is more "reasonable," let me make an analogy to the Lego Movie. Full-on Mad Scientists are like Master Builders: Highly potent and creative, but also unorganized and having issues with practicality. Lothyra wants to be like Emmet after he returns from the portal: able to combine the strengths of both Mad Science and Normie Science to great effect. To demonstrate what I'm talking about when I mention practicality issues, here's a relevant clip from the Lego Movie:

Hey! Mad Scientists can be both co-operative and practical.

Look at the Orichalcum Power Armor, for example. Something like a dozen mad scientists worked together to produce a war machine that is effective and (somewhat) cheap.

The problem is getting us to work together in the first place. Can't be a Mad Scientist without a raging ego, after all.

Mad scientist are like lego batman and astronaut etc. very creative and can create wonderful things but not practical. The orchiculm V1 one is an exemple similiar to the submarine example from earlier. It is wonderful and it works, but it is a disorganised mess of differant themes and styles. While average mad scientist is obssesed with their own theme and ego your character is more practicle. Yeah it based on the normal things and science but it still has that creativty. Batmans theme is black bats, the astronaut has space, hemet has the oridinairy turned special (the mech is just contruction equipment).
Similiar dedede has kirby, felicia has cats and your character has the mundane turned up to 11.

Edit: Again the orchicalum and submarine both work but they are a disorganised mess of parts. It is differant egos and themes combining and sometimes clashing.
 
Anyway, I just realized that having such a low Operations score is a bit OOC, so I'll edit it.
