[X] Show Homura the letter.
[X] Go out.
- [X] Wander around.
You lie back on the couch, looking up at the ceiling as you contemplate the letter. Should you go or not? Listen to the sender or just kill him or her? Find out who sent it and visit that person before the appointed time? You sigh and decide to put off making any decisions until later. As for the sender, though .... A few minutes later, Homura steps out of her room, still missing her arm, and you swing yourself upright, waving at her.
"Hey, hey! Do you know who would send this?" She sighs and shakes her head, but comes to look at the note anyway.
"... Whoever it is seems to have taken some basic precautions against your finding out who it was, like not using their name," she says flatly, and you scowl at her. She hands the letter back and sits on another couch. "As for who it could be ... well, it's almost certainly a magical girl, because you haven't attracted any mundane attention yet. It could be Mami or Madoka, but I think that's unlikely - if they wanted to meet just to talk, they wouldn't choose that location, and if they wanted to fight, they wouldn't give you this kind of forewarning." You tilt your head.
"Why would they want to fight me?" Homura sighs heavily.
"Because of last night? I don't know, I'm listing possibilities, so don't interrupt." You scowl again, but she isn't paying attention to you. "... It could be Kyouko or Sayaka, either just a meeting or an ambush. Especially if they heard about last night .... They know about you, and they know you'd be where I am, at least. Then ... Oriko. She would definitely be interested in you, and her ability would let her know how to reach you. Apart from them ...." She shrugs. "Anyone who asks Kyubey about weird things going on might know enough to send a letter here so they could meet you. I don't think he would volunteer your existence, but if anyone asked he would probably tell them."
"... So who's Oriko?" you ask when it's clear she's run out of possibilities.
"Another magical girl. She's not always active, and her actions ... are usually beneficial. Our goals are simply not usually in alignment. Her ability lets her see the future."
"Hmm ... does she have pale hair, and has a friend with dark hair?" Homura watches you with a bland expression, and you smile. "I didn't meet her, but I saw a girl with a silver Soul Gem before. I decided to talk to Junko Kaname, though, and she and her friend left right away. It's almost like they knew someone would shoot me." You sigh dramatically. "Such a shame about Junko dying; she was one of the few people I've met who treated me properly, and I'm afraid I overreacted when someone shot me. Ah, do you think she's related to Madoka? Perhaps I could ask her to introduce us - she seemed so interesting before, I'd like to see if she's the same this time around. Oh, but I should probably find whatever unit has people with big guns, because I think I want to kill the one who shot me. Again, I mean." Homura keeps up her stony expression but turns away from you. You turn your head to stare at her, your own eyes flat and cold. You didn't put it together before, but now you're almost certain that Homura was involved in that. You spread your mouth in a malevolent grin that doesn't reach your eyes. "Do you think that person regrets the decision to pull the trigger, Homura?" A deep breath, closed eyes, and a slow, silent nod. Your expression changes back to normal. "Hehe! That's good. Very, very good." You roll off the couch and stretch. "Hm, I think I'll take a walk some time tonight ... oh, but why would Oriko choose to meet in Kazamino, and at the Tower?" Homura relaxes and takes a breath before carefully shrugging.
"Perhaps she's on friendly terms - or at least, non-hostile terms - with Kyouko? Or else she knows they won't have anyone watching then. Maybe she just knows she can deal with whoever will be there. It's too hard to say." She sighs and touches her shoulder, then shakes herself. "Was there anything else?"
"Not right now, I guess." You consider asking her about her arm, or her reference to last night making someone try to attack you, but those can wait. Homura steels herself and turns to face you.
"Then I have a question for you. Last night, the Witch didn't attack you at all, tried to move you out of the way without killing you, and then sat there and let you kill it. Why? How can that happen?" You shrug.
"I don't know. Maybe they think I'm one of them. The ones I've met haven't been hostile to me unless I attacked them. Or maybe they're like normal youkai, and they can tell how far above them I am in terms of power, so they don't attack me because they aren't stupid and know they don't have a chance." Homura frowns; maybe she doesn't like your answer. It doesn't matter. You don't know, and the answer doesn't matter to you, so she can puzzle the answer out herself if she thinks it's necessary. However ... you pull out the Grief Seed you picked up from the Witch and hold it out to Homura. "Would you like to give this to Mami? It seems like something she would consider important." Homura looks at it for a moment before hesitantly taking it from you. She stares at it as it sits in the palm of her hand, and you pat her head before you head to your room.
Now that night has properly fallen, you decide to take that walk. You look at the sketches on the desk - Homura, Lutecia, Agito, everyone you've met on your little adventure - and decide to leave them there. You'll need some proper tools to make the images your sister will expect, after all. You leave your room and float down the hallways to the main room. You pass Agito, working in the kitchen, and wave at her when she looks up. She seems nervous again, but returns your wave. Good. Homura and Lutecia are talking by the images, and they look over at you as you drift toward the door.
"I'm just going to wander around," you say. "Don't stay up for me." Homura nods somberly.
"... Take care ...." You grin at Lutecia, and she lowers her head. You curtsy before slipping out the door, then make your way east. East, where the light never dies and you tried hunting before. You take in the civilization, the humanness, of the area. Unlike some youkai, you don't particularly mind the smell of humans, their abnormal presence. You don't revel in it, but neither does it frustrate or enrage you. It's just another thing to keep track of. You stroll along, looking at shops both open and closed. You consider names for the other thing with Headless - you haven't yet decided whether you will name it, of course, or even let it live, but you think about it.
You nearly pass by one alley, but a muffled sound catches your ear. You stop and look down it, but it turns around the building. Shrugging, you walk down the alley and turn to see what it was you heard. A thrown bottle nearly catches your head, but you simply stop and let it land with a crash. Someone, a woman, is lying on the ground, and one of the men surrounding her kicks her side as his companions laugh. Another picks her up, lifts her above his head, then throws her straight up into the air, letting her fall to the ground. She hits with the same sound you heard before, and you nod. The woman lifts her head to look at you, raising one hand in your direction before one of the men kicks her shoulder. She shudders and curls up, mewling quietly, but the men see you now, and one of them walks over to you, squatting down so he's closer to your height.
"Hey there, kid. Nice costume - I bet your parents spent a lot of time on it. We're just having a talk with this lady here, though, so you can't stay here. Do you know where your parents are? Come on, I'll take you to them." He holds out a hand for you to take, and he certainly sounds friendly. You smile.
"I don't know, it seems like you're beating her, and if you toss her up like that a few more times, you'll probably kill her. Did she do something to you?" The man blinks, his smile fades, and he takes a deep breath.
"If my kids were half as smart as you are, I wouldn't have to worry about the business. But yeah, she's being a pest, so we're making sure she doesn't come back here and bother us." He sighs. "Of course, if you're that clever ...." His right hand leaps forward, trying to grab at your hair, but you catch it and squeeze, crushing his wrist. He goes white, but before he can react any more, you slash your hand as you leap forward, neatly tearing his neck apart. You grin as the other men start to react to you - then you grab the dumpster and hurl it into them, crushing two against the wall and crippling two more. The other three stare in shock as you stand there, grinning devilishly. You throw yourself forward again, and the third man, the one who threw the woman, tries to intercept you.
You catch his arm instead, slipping under his grasp, and then throw him straight up - but where the woman only went up an extra meter or so, the man goes up several stories. You double back and grab the two remaining thugs. Their heads burst when you slam them together, and you examine the woman as you lick the gore from your hands. She is still alive, but barely conscious. You can't make out much of her features, although she has dark hair. You hear something wailing, and you almost look around before you realize it's probably the man you threw. You giggle. But what to do with the woman ...?
What do you do?

[ ] Take her back to Homura's; taking care of someone will give Lutecia a hobby.
[ ] Take her back to Homura's; you could use a servant of your own.
