[X]-Sleep through the day. Then...
-[X] Hunt Witches.
-[X] Try communicating with them. If they turn violent have fun.
Yes, you've gone a while without a proper day's sleep, so now it's time to catch up! ... Not that such things really affect you or your sister most of the time, but you do seem to get slightly better rest during the day sometimes. To that end, you take out a sheet of paper and write - in several languages, so they cannot possibly misunderstand you - "Do Not Disturb." Then you carefully place it on the outside of your door and go to sleep.
...
You wake up in your mental construct, which is rather surprising. You don't normally come here, and you certainly don't come here when you're asleep ... unless Headless did something to bring you here. You sit up from the table and stretch. It's not a necessary function here - very little is - but if she is watching you, it will serve as an indication that you're ready to talk. You frown as you look around - it seems ... neater. Or at least, less destroyed than it usually is. Before you get restless enough to wander around, however, Headless stalks into the room and sits down across from you, her eyes glimmering.
"Good morning, Headless - or is it afternoon yet?" You nod your head politely, and she scowls.
"Why aren't you doing anything interesting? We're getting bored!" You raise an eyebrow questioningly, and she outright glares at you. "You know what I mean! You're messing around with that no-account, two-bit whelp of a sorceress when you could be doing something you actually enjoy! You're not going to get anywhere with her, you and I both know that - she's a human, not a magician, and she's empty! Nothing in there but a half-score of years? Pah! At least in her world, there were people who could put up a fight against you, so I can understand why you didn't complain more, but here? Even if you were weakened they'd have to work to hurt you! They don't have a chance of stopping you, so why hold yourself back?" You sigh.
"I do thank you for your patience - but the choice isn't yours to make, it's mine. And I don't need to explain myself to you. However, Lutecia interests me; I want to see if I can get her on my side, and openly and brazenly slaughtering the weaklings of this world isn't going to help that." Headless stares at you for a moment, then laughs.
"Hee, hee! That's adorable, Flandre! But there's no way in any hell you'll make friends with her. Your sister and her witch had mutual respect and common goals when they met, and their personalities meshed well enough that they could sweep their differences under the rug. This brat? She doesn't care for you, and she has that ... thing ... poisoning her against you. You haven't got a chance!" You grin nastily back at her, and she frowns.
"Ah, but you said it yourself - she is too young. I would like a friend, and I really don't know much about her ... but right now, we have similar goals, and she can learn to respect me. A servant doesn't need her own will, if it comes to it, after all. So I need to learn about her, get to know her ... and then make the decision as to where our relationship proceeds. She already knows about me, but flaunting power just because I can isn't going to help. And besides, you seemed particularly interested in Agito once you learned about her ... is there something you have planned?" Your eyes bore into hers, but she backs down after a moment, unwilling to explain. You smirk triumphantly. "Don't worry, I do plan on having some fun here - as you said, it's quite safe - but it can wait a bit longer." She nods unhappily.
"Fine. I guess a bit more time won't hurt any." She rises to leave, but pauses at your outstretched hand.
"Another thing ...." You smirk, showing your fangs, then stare seriously. "Earlier, you said 'We're getting bored.' Who else is living here that I should be introduced to?" She stiffens at being caught ... but movement behind her catches your eye. Another girl who looks like you nervously steps into the room ... but where Headless's version of you is fierce, furiously intense, this girl is ... bouncy. She reminds you of no one so much as the black-haired rabbit youkai, or maybe the three fairies who snuck into the mansion. Even subdued as she is, she has a sort of ... energetic-ness.
"Um, hello! You're Flandre Scarlet, right? Headless told me a little about you ... do you like to play games?" You glare at Headless, who returns it just as fiercely, then turn to the newcomer.
"That's right, I am Flandre, and I do like to play games." She brightens, smiling cheerfully, but you raise your hand. "However, I would like to have a better grasp of what games you like to play - not all games are the same, after all." She nods.
"Oh, yes! I like Tag, and Hide-and-Seek, and Jumpsies, and Keep Away, and Red Rover, and Statues, and games like that!" You nod.
"I see. I like several of those games, myself," her smile gets even bigger, "but I'm afraid I can't really play them all that well with others just yet. No one here is able to keep up with me, you see."
"Oh, that's fine, I can -"
"I wasn't finished." Headless glowers at you as the other girl wilts. You smile faintly and lean on the table. "My sister used to play with me, but we haven't played together for some time. So ...." Your smile turns to a grin, and your clones spring out and curtsy before dashing to different areas of the construct as the girl gapes. "So, if you're willing, why don't we play a sort of Tag? Find the real me, and point her out to me - and take care not to get too confused, if you find a false one, she'll move." The girl squeals joyfully and darts out of the room. You turn your eyes to Headless.
"... I already told you about her, didn't I? I tried to fix her, and I think she's as whole as she'll be, but ...." She shrugs, and you nod. She takes the time to slip away from you. The girl passes through the room several times, bowing politely each time - she's quite good at finding and catching your clones, but she doesn't make the obvious connection. Finally, she sits down at the table, pouting.
"I can't find her," she says, and you smirk.
"Oh? Why not?"
"She's really good at hiding, maybe? Or ... maybe I'm just bad at this ...." She sighs. "I wanna go out, I remember it was a lot of fun." You giggle.
"You never picked the obvious one," you say, and she frowns. "I'm the real one, and I've been here the whole time." She stares for a moment, then claps her hands.
"Hahaha! That's sneaky, Flandre! Sneaky and smart!" You nod your head.
"Hm ... however, I think I'll be having to leave soon ...." Her smile dies and she nods. "I'm sure we'll meet again. But - what is your name?"
"I don't have one. Headless said you could give me one, though." You frown in thought.
"I see ... however, a name is something important, and I'll need some time to think of one for you." She nods, and you bow politely. "Until the next time we meet, then." And then you withdraw from the construct ....
You uncurl yourself from the blanket and sigh. Maybe she isn't crazy anymore, but you can't tell, and you wish Patchouli - or better yet, Remilia - were here to see if she is. And you're still not sure what Headless wants to try with Agito .... Oh well, time for investigations! The sky is red, signaling the fall of night upon the land, and you stretch. Yes, now is the time to go for an excursion ....
You slip out of your room and prowl through the house until you reach the big room. Oddly, only Agito is there, studying the images, and you tap your foot to attract her attention. She makes a face when she sees you.
"I suppose the layabout wants something to eat, huh?" You shake your head.
"No, I'm fine ... where's everyone else?"
"Lulu's asleep already; she's having weird dreams, but she won't talk about them. And the others ...." She makes a weird grin and shrugs. "They went out together a couple hours ago, didn't know when they'd be back. Are you gonna look at these again?" You shake your head and put on your shoes.
"Nope, I'm going out," you say, flashing a grin and sticking out your tongue. "Don't know when I'll be back." You dart outside before Agito can respond and rush down the street. Of course, you're just blindly wandering, since you don't know where a Witch might be, and you can't track them, but you've gotten lucky before ....
You walk around for several hours, spending time looking for rifts in alleys, and just as you're about to give up, you find one several blocks from a hospital. You happily dive through. You just hope you'll get something good for all this.
This rift world is just as different and strange as all the others - you're in a dark tunnel, and all around are tubes and needles and signs. You follow what seems to be a guide rope forward. As you continue, you see strange desserts and snacks, and things in jars ... and the Witch's Familiars. They're strange squeaky things, with orange dots on a black carapace, rat's tails, and a single large eye. They squeak when they see you, and examine you, but leave you alone. There are quite a few doorways, but most of them are open, and you keep following the rope. Eventually, you reach a large room with enormous desserts piled everywhere, and many tall, two-person tables scattered throughout. Sitting at one of them are two dolls.
You fly up to the table, and one of the dolls tilts its head to look at you. It has pink hair, a similar orange-dotted black carapace to the Familiars, and wears reddish clothing. You bow politely.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" It tilts from side to side - and you hear squeaking as several Familiars try to push a chair over for you. It crashes to the ground, however, and you giggle. "Oh, that's alright." You land on the table itself and look at the doll ... the Witch, you suppose. Terribly unprepossessing, even for a youkai. Then it ... sort of flops forward, then back, and you notice something new by your hand. A small plate with several varieties of cookies is there now. "For me? Thank you." You take a polite bite, and it's really rather good ....
Unfortunately, while the Witch is unthreatening, that's all you can say for it. You spend almost half an hour with it, trying to talk, but all it ever does is spawn more varieties of desserts, and you begin to wonder if you made a mistake. Before you can voice any displeasure, however, a brilliant pink spike blazes across the room, and you look to the smoking hole that used to be the wall with the door. Various sounds of gunfire can be heard, and without anything blocking it, you feel the surge of power as Madoka fires another blast.
She's the first into the room, dressed in a pink dress and wielding a bow that she begins to raise in your direction before freezing in shock. Mami follows, as does Homura - but it's now your turn to stare in surprise, because Homura has both her arms! You notice the Witch begin twitching agitatedly as Mami recovers from the shock of seeing you.
"Scarlet-san, what are you doing here?" The Witch nearly spasms as she speaks.
"I wanted to try talking to a Witch, so I went looking for one. But it can't talk back, so I don't -" The Witch's twitches increase, and you turn to snarl at it. "Quiet!" It cowers, curling up and ceasing its shaking. "... Anyway, I don't know what to do now." The three girls raise their weapons.
"It's a Witch; we have to kill it," Mami says coldly. "If you won't help, please move away from it."
