Finding the Spark (Pathfinder 1E Quest)

I'm still wondering why someone shot the governor?

If it was the Elves, then why?

Getting at the Drow would have been easier if he wasn't in the palace on high alert?

I think it was a relatively low effort distraction attempt. A few 1st level spells and a Dimension Door spell or item would have been enough to accomplish it.

By focusing the guard's attention on the governor and the princess, there were potentially far fewer eyes on Pisca and Saenar. And the time between them going missing and the disappearance being discovered could be expected to increase significantly, too. The longer that takes, the less can happen to ruin their plot.

We moved pretty damned quickly once we realized what was happening, after all, but it was still nearly too late to learn who had done the deed or to rescue Pisca. A few more minutes could have made all the difference.

Now imagine if there was no assassination attempt. Everyone would have proceeded to the palace without interruption, the princess and her guards would be there, and everyone would be on high alert, like the Secret Service when the POTUS pops into McDonalds at 2 AM for a cheeseburger. Disappearing the pair would be much more difficult before they could have an audience with Eutropia.

Killing the governor would have been a bonus, of course. Whether or not he was resurrected afterward, it would have taken some time to arrange. If they could nail him and pull off the kidnapping, days could have passed before anyone realized the connection. And conveniently there would have been that dude from House Basri waiting at the palace to tell the princess about the Duergar plot his people had uncovered. Unfortunately, he wasn't in time to save the governor before they could strike.

The woman with the flaming sword is probably Sarenrae.
I thought it was Calistria at first, but no, definitely Sarenrae.
The Golden Man... could he be Aroden? There are depictions of him with a golden sword. Obviously he wasn't around at the battle with Rovarug, but one must consider who created this place, and why.

Dou-Bral fits, mostly on the basis of 'who else can it be?'

Interesting. Not a green crystal tower?

Edit:
And the tower depicts the gods fighting rovagug.

And then sealing him under the earth.

It is commonly said that the rough beasts proximity impacts the underark in... unpleasant ways.

Cob's psicrystal needs a name.

I've got Sparkles plugged into the sheet for now, but that's mostly a placeholder.

What would a Goblin teenager like Cob name their new telepathic pet rock? Especially one that has a personality best described as "Resolved"?

Cob has a new battle form:

Mini-Cob!

First he uses Minor Metamorphosis to shrink down to Tiny size. That gives him an additional +1 size bonus to his attacks and AC, and +2 DEX, which gives him another +1 bonus to attacks, damage, AC, and Reflex saves.

Then he uses Offensive Precognition and Defensive Precognition while Augmenting each one with 6 Power Points. Those give him another +3 bonus to attacks, AC, and saving throws.

All together, he gets +5 attack, +5 AC, +4 Reflex saves, +3 Fortitude and Will saves, and +1 damage. His dagger's base damage would decrease from 1d4 to 1d3, but that's negligible.

Alternatively, he could swap out Defensive Precognition for Offensive Prescience, losing the +3 AC and saving throw bonus in order to gain another +4 damage.

You haven't known true terror until you've had a 12 inch tall mini-Goblin carve a hole in your torso then climb in and start hunting for your gizzard.
