I wouldn't be so sure. It depends a lot on his ability to empathize with them. Once Shirou flips the "okay, you're dead to me now" switch he doesn't hesitate at all to kill. The hard part is convincing him that you are a threat of your own will and desire.

Appropriate for a Sword I suppose. Once drawn, the cut is decisive.

Yeah, but Hinoko is wangsting and being uncomfortable with the sacrifices she has to make. She pushes several of his buttons.

"So... I'm her guinea pig now?" You asked with a narrowed look.

Hinako stared at you before standing up. She walked towards you and drew one of her swords. You flinched at the sight of it before she swung it.

She cut your chains.

"That depends if she catches you again," Hinako said as she stepped back.

Aaaaand there's this.

Oh hey, she must've noticed that we were trying to not kill her...at least up until we went terminator mode.

[X] "If... If only we met under better circumstances. Maybe we could have been friends."

This is just my acknowledgement of the Rushan route, not my support

On one hand, we're pretty much deep into the Parmesan (Medb) route so we can't just try to go into the Rushan (Hinako) route so freely.
Route locked alas. Maybe next time. The third route will be the hardest to unlock with a high difficulty heroine!
I think I prefer the daughter.
Fran-chan can't stay for long sadly. She's still cute but gets poofed once Caster doesn't have any fuel to feed her.

[X] "This... Doesn't change anything. You're an enemy. I'll beat you too. What you're doing and condoning is unforgivable."

"In another time, in another place... Perhaps in a cold observatory somewhere remote, we might've been friends. As it is... I'm sorry. But it has to be this way."

[X] "You could have killed me back there. But you didn't. You had every chance so why not?"

[x] "You could have killed me back there. But you didn't. You had every chance so why not?"

Yeah, I know. I will choose something else as soon as I finish eating.

( you're just afraid of the awesome powers of handholding breaking us out of Parmesan route and landing us straight in the middle of Rushan, aren't you. :V )

Edit: let's see what she has to say

[X] "You could have killed me back there. But you didn't. You had every chance so why not?"

Just because it's not the official route doesn't mean we can't Befriend her anyway.

[X] "If... If only we met under better circumstances. Maybe we could have been friends."

I am now resolved to keep her alive if we are at all able to do so.

I just hope we get to talk to her again. It sounded like we were being a good influence on her

[J/K] The silver lining here is that as a fellow master, now we can strike a new friendship without erasing your memories!

[] "You could have killed me back there. But you didn't. You had every chance so why not?"

You felt for your wrist and gingerly rubbed it. She was letting you go? Just like that? Caster was impressed by you? What happened back in that fight? Probably nothing good and there may have been an long amount of time since then which allowed Caster to tinker with your body. The thought gave you chills...

You stayed where you were as you felt the bruises and wounds you should have gotten not be there. Hinako wasn't really trying to kill you back there but instead was trying to disable you. She didn't want to fight you. That much was clear to you. Even you felt that you didn't want to fight her.

Still you had to know. You wanted to ask her what was going through her head, "You could have killed me back there. But you didn't. You had every chance so why not?"

Hinako gave you a long hard look before replying, "If we were to fight, I want to do it in the battlefield. Where our Servants can fight for us and where we can do battle with clear heads. Last night doesn't count."

"Will it be all right? You're essentially giving me a pass here," you said as you met her gaze.

"Consider it as my courtesy to a fellow non-human. Clearly you have more humanity than those people living on their cities. It's why I kept saying it was ironic," Hinako stated as she looked to the side, "Go on, Mud Doll... Stand up."

You did as she told you and let the chain clatter on the ground. You rubbed your wrist as you stood before her just as she turned away and walked towards the door. Hinako didn't spare you another glance as she left the room and shut the door on her way out.

You were alone...

Closing your eyes, you let out a shaky breath before you fell down on your rear. You legs get like jelly and your mind was racing. You grimaced as you hugged yourself as you grasped at the memories you had in your head.

You're in the worst situation possible. No Servant, no contact to the outside and you're possibly at the heart of Caster's territory. Caster whom you realized her true identity as you pieced your memories together. It was like picking up floating objects from beneath murky waters. But at least these memories weren't locked away from you, just disjointed by whatever blow you took.

You want to live. You want to go home.

That's why you chose to stand up and clench your fists. You're getting out of here and you're not going to stop for anything. Dragging yourself back to your feet, you tried to find your balance before you noticed that your clothes were folded nearby. Your jacket was a bit burnt but still useable. Your stockings had some rips but you'll have to make do if you wanted to stay warm, it was just fortunate that your blouse was all right.

Your gun and baton were there too but you focused on changing first. Once you were dressed, you strapped your belt and holster on your body before sighing. You can't contact Rider... Something must be jamming your connection much like Scathach's house did.

You had to get out of here. You had enough ammunition to run interference but it won't kill Apostles or even harm Hinako herself. Trying to blow Caster's brains out was out of the question too. You looked down on the spot where your stuff were and found a knife.

Did Hinako leave this?

You picked it up and kept it on your belt. You drew your gun and walked out of the door to find yourself in the dim hallway of Caster's castle. You felt dread creep up inside you as you tried calming your nerves. You shut the door behind you and stepped out.

There wasn't even any sign of a way out. What were you supposed to do, just pick a direction and go? That sounded like a bad idea but you didn't have much choice. You began your walk through the castle.

The walls were made of stone and the marble floors were draped in carpets. There were portraits and busts of faceless men standing by the walls. You kept your hands in your gun as you grimaced.

You made a right and walked towards some double doors at the far end of the hall. Once you approached it, you pushed it open and found yourself looking at an open yard at the center of the castle. The skies were dark and you could see moonlight shine overhead.

Investigating your surroundings, you soon heard rustling nearby. This was followed by footsteps looming closer and closer. The doors flew open as the massive bulk of a Belial came into view as you took cover. You kept low as you strained your senses to know where it was.

It hasn't moved...

Your entire body was shaking in fear as your palms started to get sweaty. Swallowing hard, you listened as the heavy footfalls of the Dead Apostle started leading to the right. You heard doors being flung open once more before footfalls faded into the distance.

It took Rider and Saber to beat one of those and Rider managed to kill two of them by herself when you first encountered Caster. You? You didn't stand a chance.

You need to get out of this place. Getting chased wasn't going to be avoidable. You moved out of your cover and moved to the door the Belial had come from. Maybe you'll have more luck there.

It was another hallway leading to another wing of the castle. You kept walking until you found what looked like dining room. A long table was laid before you with chairs lining up its sides.

You looked inside and found no one so you just stepped back and shut the door leading there. You continued your way further west until you came upon a window overlooking the mountain side.

Jumping was out of the question given you'll just break your legs.

"Nah, fuck that," you grumbled as you stepped back. You looked down the hall and noticed how the moonlight shined into it to provide illumination.

Looking down the hall, you were greeted by the sight of figures on all fours. Your eyes widened as you stepped back and raised your handgun.

"What the hell?" You breathed as wolves came into view... Except their heads were replace with human heads stitched on the base of their necks.

The heads of men and women had their mouths foam with out of place metal teeth jammed into their gums. Their canine bodies were dead and rotting, barely alive if only being animated by a small fraction of prana.

But they were alive. They were alive but twisted.

Tears ran down their faces as they snarled at you. They barked but it sounded more like a strangled wail of a dying human. You felt like your head was splitting just by looking at them. You kept your gun raised as they moved-

One of the human headed dogs jumped to the wall and started running alongside it. Their tearful gazes seeking mercy from your weapon.

Heartbeat
[] Run. FUCKING RUN!
[] Gun them down. Stand your ground! Aim and shoot!
[] They're too close, use your baton and engage in melee.
[] Start chanting. You need your shield.
[] Write in...

...
Running is a very bad idea as they are faster than us

The head is probably the weak point.

[X] Gun them down. Stand your ground! Aim and shoot!
-[x] baton on your other hand for wolves that come close
-[x] go for headshot if possible.

can this work?
