AN: What if Shirou dropped in on Chaldea instead. Probably not going to continue this. This is more about the problems of E-Rank luck than Miyuverse Shirou. In which the female MC wants a 5- Star servant badly.
Please don't be a Black Key!
"Senpai? What are you doing?" Mashu Kyrielite asked quizzically as she bent down to take a closer look at Ritsuka's set up.
"I'm warding off Black Keys, that's what i'm doing!" The auburn-haired Master (and last active one) of Chaldea, fervently replied with fire in her eyes as she placed dozens of Saberface figurines around the summoning platform.
All of which were made by Medea during her free time.
The Witch of Betrayal was a fan of cute things, and with the female king Arturia Pendragon being a popular figure within the organization, Medea being a fan wasn't entirely unexpected.
Although, the intensity of her obsession freaked the King of Knights out quite a bit.
"I'm going to summon a Saber for sure!"
"But we have Gilles-kun."
"He doesn't count!"
"Caesar?"
"Don't get me started on him! Even he said he was summoned into the wrong class!"
"Senpai… how many cups of coffee did you drink?"
"Ten! What of-"
The purple-haired demi-servant dragged Ritsuka out of the summoning room and knocked on the younger Medea's door.
The younger Princess of Colchis was more than happy to help out in getting rid of the excess caffeine that Ritsuka had taken in.
The female Master had been going off in minor singularities for supply runs and most importantly, digging out Saint Quartz wherever she could find.
Her E-Rank lucked when it came to Servants outside of Arturia and EMIYA was driving her mad.
The Mapo-Tofu bowls, Steel Training craft essences, endless Black Keys and unlimited Saber Gilles turned Ritsuka Fujimaru into a workaholic by both necessity and choice.
For some arbitrary reason, there seems to be a limit of strengthening Servants by alteration of their Saint Graph based on some indeterminate factor. This limit differed between Servants but it apparently has an inverse relationship with the 'rarity' of a Servant.
For example... Sasaki Kojirou, the Saviour of France and honorary Dragon Slayer was perhaps one of the most common Servants to manifest repeatedly in Chaldea during the summoning ritual. Granted, only one Sasaki Kojirou can exist at the time and the rest of them turned into Memorial Essences which powered up Sasaki Kojirou to a certain point.
Even then, Sasaki's hard limit in gaining strength was one of the lowest along with Asterios, Mata Hari and a handful of others.
This caused further stress as Ritsuka continued to blame herself for the difficulties in fighting through singularities with only Arturia and EMIYA pulling through for them. Mashu, Medea, Medea Lily, Cu Chulainn, the younger Gilgamesh and a few others were helpful but things were getting harder and harder to the point where she needed more of these 'rare' servants.
Dr. Roman was worried for her health a lot, but he couldn't stop her from going into more singularities after she threatened to burn his collection of all things related to cute girls. Da Vinci tried to help out by making these Summon Tickets that substituted Saint Quartz for the summoning ritual, but Ritsuka's bad luck still followed.
Cu Chulainn (Lancer), Diarmuid, other E-Rank Luck Servants and her met up weekly to catch up on what bad luck they suffered recently from.
The E-Rank Luck club usually meet up at the two-week old Bar set up in Chaldea, with Medea frequenting the pool table with Medusa. Arturia tended to be there to keep EMIYA (the default bartender and cook) company and eat his cooking. Medea Lily often was called for when they started to leave the Bar, just to get rid of their intoxication so that no trouble would be caused.
Asterios and Euryale tended to do their own thing somewhere in her own room.
David and the child King of Heroes occasionally debated the economics of their kingdom's in the newly built bar.
Other Servants hung out there and did their bit in livening up the place.
Ritsuka always tried her best in building up her relationship with all the Servants, but most could see the building desperation in her to overcome her bad luck for the future of humanity.
"Ah, Master! I made you this charm for good luck!" Medea Lily passed Ritsuka a cutesy pink key-chain that she made after her latest E-Rank club meeting. (Where the main topic was on why Hector doesn't have E-Rank luck after what Achilles did to his dead body, and complaining about Spartacus bugging them about oppressors again)
"Ah, thank you Medea! I'm going to summon a super-rare Servant for sure!"
In another room, an older Medea was rolling on the ground with her face covered by her hands while exclaiming "Embarrassing! Embarrassing!" over and over again.
"I'm sure you will! Oh, but you have to get some sleep first, good night!"
"Wait what?"
The young princess muttered a spell that placed the Chaldea Master to sleep.
Mashu caught her, slung her onto her back, brought Ritsuka back to her room and tucked her into bed.
"Good night, senpai. Sleep well."
… Ritsuka dreamt of Black Keys and a deep voice telling her to "Rejoice".
She woke up, breathing heavily from the horrid nightmare and fell off her bed as she tried to get up.
As she was getting up, she noticed something shining under her bed and reached for it.
"No way! I can't believe I missed one!"
It was a Summon Ticket! She must have dropped it one day and accidentally kicked it under her bed!
She rushed towards the summoning platform, only to find that Dr. Roman wasn't there to run it.
So she woke the sleeping doctor up, shook him up and down until he complied with helping her with a summon.
Setting up more Saber merchandise, she began praying to the RNG gods for a good Servant and NOT more Black Keys.
When the light died down, a young man that looked relatively injured appeared.
"What… where am I?"
Dr. Roman took out a pamphlet that they started to printed earlier on for new Servants to read through, explaining the specifics of Chaldea and their goal. He also called for Medea Lily to come heal the boy, which ended in him being stabbed and his discolouration fixing itseld.
Before that, Ritsuka couldn't help but notice some resemblance of the young man to EMIYA.
"This doesn't involve sacrificing young girls to save the world, does it?"
"If it did, then I wouldn't be still alive to give you the sales pitch." She snarked in response to his strange question.
"Well, I guess I'll stick around for now. At least until I find a way to get to my sister."
She poked Dr.Roman for more information about the young man.
"Hey, what class and how rare is he?"
"Uhh… I think it's Archer?"
"What do you mean you think?"
"I think the status screen isn't working for him that well. That said, he's definitely the same Rarity as Arturia."
"Bring out the EXP cards."
"How many?"
"All. Of. It." She smiled in glee as she led the new Archer to another room where they placed a bowl filled with bronze, silver and gold EXP cards in front of him.
"Wait, I'm supposed to eat this?!"
Typical reaction, Ritsuka thought.
"It's tastier and softer than it looks. Just think of them as cornflakes." She reassured him.
"I don't think I should."
"Eat it. Eat it now... Do it!" Ritsuka used her best Palpatine impression which only weirded him out further.
He careful took one of the biscuit sized bronze cards and placed it in between his teeth before biting on it.
"!!!" His eyes widen and he began to gobble up the rest of the cards like crazy.
Ritsuka began clapping as if praising him. "Good Archer good… let the EXP flow through you."
Dr. Roman stopped him at some point before directing him to some other chamber with some Ascension materials laid out.
After going through some process that for some reason, gave him EMIYA's equipment, they repeated the process a few times until he was 'maxed out' as they told him.
"I can't wait for you to meet everyone! Come on, I think everyone's at the Cafeteria." Ritsuka took her Archer by the hand and led him through Chaldea's hallways.
She wondered how exactly was the white cloak draped on his back not falling off. Then again, some Servant's clothes were just weird like that.
Although, the thing she was the most curious about was the fact that he was dressed almost exactly like EMIYA. Except one of his arms had no sleeves and he had a red headband covering his forehead.
Perhaps he was a younger EMIYA?
As the automatic doors slid open to reveal the cafeteria.
Ritsuka stepped forth and grabbed everyone's attention.
"I finally defeated the Gacha rates!"
The E-Rank club cheered and clapped with gladness in their hearts.
The new Archer stepped into the room.
Cu Chulainn of the E-Rank club instantly looked annoyed all of a sudden.
"Damn it! Why is there another one of him?!" The blue-haired Lancer complained.
"Huh? Archer, come out of the kitchen. There's someone you should see." Arturia shouted over the food counter, prompting EMIYA to step out while wearing an apron.
"..."
"..."
The two Archers looked at each other in silence, not entirely sure how to respond to this.
"... This is my kitchen. Don't you dare."
"I can cook just as well as you can."
"All you can do is copy off my much greater library of recipes."
"There's no rule that a copy can't beat the original."
Somehow, the most unlikely of mediators stepped up.
"I'm not quite sure if there's a point with two Fakers arguing over their cooking prowess." The child King of Heroes, Gilgamesh, said all of a sudden.
Chaldea had their first Shokugeki competition the next day.
