As much fun as inadvertently poking Kirei would be, I think keeping a low profile here might be the better option. Throw in the fact that it'd likely make a mess of things and ruin our chances of gaining an alliance with one of the more stable potential parties in the war (get proof that something is horribly wrong with the Grail, Matou family, or Church and I suspect that Bazett would chip in).
Given the chance to keep Lancer around, considering the amount of knowledge he has on runes and other magecraft that would be be of interest to the Fraga family (and Bazett's hero worship), I suspect that it would make a decent consolation prize if the Grail was inoperable.

Oh, I have a very important question: You know how Shirou can copy the fighting style of noble phantasm wielders because he reads the weapon's history? Does our copy of Gae Bolg also have the history of Scáthach's fighting style? And how much mental damage could we do to lancer in the process?
IIRC, he once said that Rin's personality reminds him of Scathach.
