Because we are 50% of this demiservant, and our magecraft is literaly built around the concept of shields and defense. For all we know, the name of the NP is altered or could become something new, just for us.

Then again, I never played Grand Order, so I have no idea how this is supposed to work, I'm just guessing that a Demiservant of the Shield mixed with a magus specced in Defense works best for STOPPING THE UNSTOPPABLE BEAM OF DOOM. I have no idea what this "Lord Chaldea" or "Lord Camelot" means.

None of the options really has Rostem valuing himself over others (in my opinion). The family option is...kind of the opposite of that, I think.

Because it's not just about you, Rostem Hargrave, it's about your father, and your mother, and your grandparents and your great grandparents and so on back to the beginning of your line, it's about your roots and where you came from and if you can see farther it's because you're standing on the shoulders of giants, that sort of thing.

Also, I like that this Quest has a main character who HAD a family and a mom and dad and awkward family Christmases and got kisses when he skinned his knee and all that made him into who he is now, he has a past, he has those roots I was talking about, as opposed to him sort of popping into existence at the start of the Quest and all of his formative experiences began when he got roofied in Chaldea's sedan.

Not that there's anything wrong with a blank slate Quest protagonist, but I'd rather run with Rostem being a slate with a fair bit of chalk already on it.

Good point, I fucused on the wrong aspects on his personality. The thing is that there's a lot of Waver in Hargrave, best shown how Rider used him as a human shield. But a Waver has the potential to become a Kayneth. If Iskander hadn't come into Waver's life I fear the man he could have become. I feel Hargrave represents that in many ways with his insecurity and pedigree in comparison to Waver.

"Lord Camelot – Fortress of the Distant Utopia" is the name of Galahad's Noble Phantasm, a shield made from or embodying the Round Table of Arthur's knights. "Lord Chaldea" is the name that Marche (well, actually Olga Marie) gives it when she activates it as Shielder. She doesn't know its true name, so she substitutes in "Chaldea" for "Camelot" as a matter of personal synergy. Since the Noble Phantasm isn't being activated with its true name, it suffers multiple rank downs (same reason Astolfo isn't able to use his magic book, for example), but it still works.

I'm crying Zerban, I was so hyped up for a sick ballgame with the twins.

--[X] Think of Chaldea, eleven years in the future. They all swore to lay down their lives against the end of the world. So will you

I remembered to protect the world is the very reason we went to Chaldea anyway.

"SCATTER!" Luvia shouts at the top of her lungs. But it's too late for that. You know without being told. Even for the Servants, the real Servants, no one is getting away from Arturia with Excalibur Morgan already half-charged. The corrupted Sword of Promised Victory will obliterate you all unless something is done, something to halt it. There's only so many options. There's no guarantee that one is right. But it's better than nothing.

And then we got...

B|

Lord British'ed.

(Also someone rigged the fight with Broserkers to the point that they were already dying/starting to die. This is, uh, mildly interesting for somewhat obvious reasons.)

It's sorta complicated, iirc (and according to the bounty of the Great God Wiki so idfk take it with as much salt as you'd like) how many wives you could have was limited by your caste and Karna was so phenomenally low that he was only allowed to marry once. So there's a heavy cultural/religious connotations to him being monogamous too. But by all accounts he apparently genuinely loved her and character-wise he wasn't really the type to go whoring around on the side anyway. But beyond that fact and her committing suicide on his funeral pyre she uh...doesn't actually show up a whole lot.

And being a de facto widower is a thorny enough issue even when you're not from a canon that believes in reincarnation.

So idk I guess what I'm saying is Karna Route confirmed. :V

Shielder being used as an actual human shield, that's, something.

Time to Hero the fuck out of this encounter.

It's only a matter of time now before Karna has to throw his shield(er) at something, then the shield-throwing cycle will be complete.

Oh sweet mother of god that is horrifying. The sheer damage a ball of hard rubber can do to a body... And the ball used in this arena probably qualifies as a Phantasm all of it's own due to the significance the Aztecs gave the game. I would rather face off against a pissed off Saber Alter than this.

Normally I'd probably agree with you, but as one of those who saw what happened last time that was activated, not completely worried. Sure Hargrave is new to this, but between him and rider, I think we've have had a decent chance.

A young homunculus could beat one of the brothers at this game after all.

I don't think we come back like Cu does when he gets thrown. Though if we do we're going to end up bouncing or skidding the last few feet on the return trip.
