[Exalted, ?] Most High

I saw the 2.2k word alert and was like 'aww yeesss' and then it turned out to be a character sheet... but with that character sheet came new art! Or old art that I hadn't seen before, which is kinda the same thing. Anyway, we're looking good. Eclectic distribution of titles, but it's all good stuff.

Your alerts tell you how many words a post is?

Just out of curiosity... if the DBs decide we're Anathema (i.e. don't flip allegiance), and we let them go...

What exactly can they do? Decrying the Satrap of Luseng, chosen by the dragons, as Anathema seems incredibly heretical.

Consider how Ulyssian might act, if he were in their situation and desired to destroy the Satrap. An Exalted enemy of even moderate capability is a wound that can rarely be permitted to fester.

Anys will pounce on the opportunity to discredit us and strip us of our titles? Talomar and all the other men and women will turn on us, and our authority will crumple like so much tissue paper. I mean, if it was just two random Dragon-Bloods, we could have them executed and nobody would probably care that much, but given our enemies and history of suspicion? It could do enormous damage.

If that was going to work, why didn't she just do that? Faking up evidence is presumably incredibly easy for a woman of her stature. Or skip the evidence portion entirely, as the first bunch of shikari did.

Speaking of, is a history of suspicion something that makes you more likely to be an Anathema? The first batch of shikari doubted our DB-ness, they demanded we prove our sanctity in the eyes of the dragons in a five-on-one duel to the death. We did. Did that proof have an expiration date? Aren't we, you know, not Anathema now?

I think we shouldn't spare that corrupt bureaucratic afterall,if we have reputation that don't tolerate disobedience then people will see us killing someone in war as normal.

Who are you saying you shouldn't spare?
I expect he's talking about the guy in Luseng who got mojo'd. He's the only bureaucrat that we've had the choice to kill/spare lately.

Y'know, I'm curious about this as well. How many times can Anys publically declare Ulyssian not anathema and in fact Blessed by the Dragons, before going against it later becomes not worth the loss of prestige? If nothing else it makes her-as-Hesiesh and the Immaculate Order really dumb, or like they're not following the tenets of their own religion.
