[Exalted, ?] Most High

I rather not limit break at all, but if we really want to limit break, do it after we used Crown Of Metis's once per story power so we can reset it.

Can everyone with the rules check to see if there's anything in the text that prevents Battle Groups from using Charms? As far as I know they can and do; they're treated as single characters except for the additional qualities described in the text. But I do want to be sure, because it could be quite important in the turns to come.
I took a look at the text and didn't see anything to suggest that Battle Groups can't use Charms.

You can't really control when you Limit Break, except for not taking options that give Limit...

Same, I think they can, otherwise a Battle Group of Terrestrial Exalted would be significantly worse than, say, a Battle Group of Fair Folk with a Might Blessing.

@Reckless_Sun, I excluded your first vote because it was invalid. Thanks for the correction.

Urgh, I really want to get started on the update soon. I assume once you get started on your personal action you guys will want to use your Fate-Shifting Solar Arete on that every day, but for the first day, do you want to buff Public Works (Bureaucracy Roll) or The Spirits Within (Performance Roll)?

Also, you guys haven't expressed any interest in stunting the Spirits Within spirit, so the spirits are just gonna choose who they prefer, is that okay?

Well, if they picked who they wanted what sort of individual would they pick? I mean, are we talking competence, corruption, or popularity contest here? Because I could be convinced to stunt for generalized competence if that's an option.

Definitely not competence, lol. Probably the one that the others owe the most favors to, or are most scared of. Or, if there's a spirit really good at schmoozing. You don't really know since you haven't had time to familiarize yourself with them before going ahead with this rite; you prioritized speed over more information.

We don't really have a lot of time though, if I'm to get the update out tonight.

Our ratings for those who are curious
Bureaucracy: 3 (+1 The Realm)
Performance: 1

You can 'make an example' of those who rebel against your rule! That Abyssal layabout may have failed his extermination check, but Ambition wields Fell-Handed Fury against those who would slack in their sacred duties.

Not a tyrant. Just Limit Breaking (tm).

Right Short stunt for getting most competent, capable god as the new City Father
## Fanwork Word Count 417

Sesus Ulyssian stood before the assembled spirits of Luseng. The City Father, god and master of the city, had vanished in battle with the forces of the Deathlord known as the Gardener, and this was a situation that Ulyssian would not abide. In the hands of the Deathlord and its Abyssal servants it was entirely too likely that the City Father would be used against Luseng in horrible and more importantly preventable, ways. To prevent them then, he had organized this audience, between those spirits of substance within the Satrapal Capital and he, their new satrap. Long had they been without proper guidance, as the Immaculate Brotherhood that had called Luseng its home had fallen to corruption and sloth in the days before the crisis. Now, that would change.

"I am Sesus Ulyssian, and I am come before you all to assure myself that you are all aware of the situation we find ourselves in. Luseng is in crisis, surrounded by foes on all sides, and a City Father is needed. The previous City Father fought for the city and is now either dead or captive of the Gardner. In order to protect Luseng we must have a new City Father. Your normal practices have been understandably lax. The Immaculate Order's presence in these lands has been less than strict, and you have acted as you would. Now, it is a time of war, of fire and steel, as all of Luseng must unite and fight for its survival. For the good of Luseng the most competent and capable god must stand forth. Not the most charismatic, nor the one with the greatest store of blackmail. Luseng faces horrors from all corners, and no less than absolute excellence may serve in this time of endings."

"Why should we listen to you!? What gives you the right to dictate to us?"

"I am the rightful Satrap of Luseng as appointed by the Scarlet Empire. I am the succcessor and heir of Admiral Lung Feng Zao, master of the Four Winds. I am he who defeated a Perfected Brotherhood of Immaculate shikari to prove my honor, and then improved upon it by killing Cathak Polemgaos in single combat, all without receiving a single scratch upon my armor. I am he who is responsible for the continued existence of Luseng and killed two behemoths and Duke Iron Sislay, once again in single combat and without being harmed. I am Sesus Ulyssian and you SHALL HEED MY WORDS!"

Well, the nature of the stunt is supposed to be a write-up of the actual to-be City Father, but I understand that would likely take much more time. This at least will prevent any of the more horrible outcomes from coming to pass.

That FSSA should be spent on the Spirits Performance roll, as opposed to Public Works?

It wasn't clear whether you were referring to that or saying that Spirits should be chosen over Thaumaturgic organization. 'Kay.

Oh, I forgot to add - you guys are probably going to have to Limit Break eventually. There is no really good time, so unless you want to manufacture circumstances to limit the damage of a Break (which IC you can't justify, since you don't know about them), you guys are going to have to choose a time.

I would have done a write up but for two reasons: One) I completely forgot that that was the preferred format, and Two) I have about Zero familiarity with how to write up a god in 3rd ed. Honestly I'm pretty sketchy on 2nd ed for that matter. My primary thought process was that this would scare/stampede them to picking someone they all know would do an excellent job, but would never get the nod under normal circumstances.

If it helps at all my general thought for said god was a sort of cantankerous older god who's very capable but sick of the politicking bs and maybe a bit stuck in his ways? Probably somewhat reminiscent of Uncle from Jackie Chan adventures as honestly that's where my mind goes.

Exactly like Uncle from Jackie Chan, you got it.
