[X] Head Off the Fae
We focused the lion's share of our strength and energy improving our personal prowess. The time has come to
use it.
A high speed, accelerated Deep Strike into the Raksha lines, assassinating their leadership, bringing down their monsters, and liberating prisoners (Including at least one Sorcerer) will give us far greater strength and utility in the days ahead, and it's unlikely that the enemy will give us time to dig in once they realize what we're up to. We use the element of surprise to open up by taking one of the greater threats off of the board, recover what strength we can in the meantime, and once we've broken the Raksha line, we can prepare to endure the enemy counterattack. If we do it properly, we can draw Lily of the Valley out to repeat her feat (Especially if we can mask our attempt as the efforts of the Immaculate Brotherhood). If we can subsequently destroy or capture her, we'll deal a terrible blow to the Gardener's forces, as well as their morale--as many of their recent defections are by dint of her charisma.
@Rihaku : Can we get a brief rundown of identified enemy Supercombattants and Major Hero-types now that we're in place?
The prisoners are in the freehold, they're not with the host.
The Dragon-Blooded don't know that much about enemy hero units, because the enemy champions haven't had occasion to really go all-out, but the ones mentioned in the post are the ones they've seen.
The Lily of the Valley, Dusk Caste. She is at least as strong as Ulyssian was when he killed Polemgaos, likely stronger. Uses a rapier and soulsteel gauntlet.
The Seeds of the Poppy, Daybreak Caste. He is a Necromancer of the Labyrinth Circle (at least) and their main source of zombies. Zombie forces are estimated to number in the tens of thousands, at least.
Ragmar, Lunar Anathema (Caste Unknown). He is powerful and treacherous, allied with the Bull of the North. His horde comprises at least fifty thousand beastmen, though they have a lot of land to control. Knows portions of at least the White Reaper and Tiger styles.
Iron Sislay is a Raksha Noble of considerable power, but not much is known of him besides the fact that he is an expert swordsman. The Sislay Chorus rarely deploys nobles of his calibre outside the freehold.
As for the behemoths, none have survived close to them, but scouting reports indicate that one is a mountain-sized beast of mottled black-ish flesh; orange forge-light radiates from its seams. Roughly humanoid, it scoops out hills with its fists to form crude, shallow "sleeping places" each night. The other is a great crystalline spider, violet and blue against the sky, whose joints shriek like crystal against glass when it moves.
RED OPTION IS REEEEEEDDD!
[x] Head off the Fae
Those damn dirty story folk are going to learn to fear the END ONCE MORE!
Also, I second Alectai's question about any enemy hero units, and add one about whether or not we can recruit the legion back up to strength from the refugees. I like the cut of the Legion's commander's jib though, Nellens is cool.
Not without several months to train them. Or at least a month, and the DB officers would be occupied with the training and unable to lead their commands in the field.
