[Exalted, ?] Most High

That would be what, 80k per, since they're 4/5 already?

I'd rather bring up some of our social stats. They're cheaper, and should be useful here in the Realm.
Could be worth it. It depends on what we're doing after the Academy, though; if our disguise is intact and we go into the Legions or something, a couple more dots of charisma wouldn't go amiss. Still, intellect helps with any number of things, drawing up battle plans not least among them. We could always stand to be more deadly, especially if things go south and we have to become a solo operative.

Would it be efficient to bump our strength and intellect up to 5, or is that a waste of experience that'd be better spent on learning to fly and summon hurricanes? I was thinking that with a stunt, studying for the exams could double as intellect training, making the option slightly less useless.

Hope you're feeling better, by the way.

You can spend Solar XP on it, so it could be nice. Attributes do have long training time though.

I'm all for training all of our attributes and abilities up to 5. Good way to improve our overall ability and spend our excess of Solar EXP. In 3E that's the highest they can get right, 5's?

My friends, not having all fives in every attribute is sub-optimal! Plus, this time training here in the Academy is likely to be the last time Ulyssian HAS a chance to train such things for awhile. Once he's done here it's going to be near constant warfare against the enemies of Creation, as well as possibly the enemies of the Realm when those two coincide.

I anticipate a meteoric rise to glory myself as he builds a reputation as a badass par excellence, and builds his network of connections. The Imperial Navy is a massive force after all, and Ulyssian could be veeeeery useful there.

So we get there eventually.
Given that N/A Artifacts can technically support an unlimited amount of Evocations?
Unlikely.

Getting some dots here and there might be doable if we really need more competency in a certain field and don't have access to decent Charms related to it or if we don't have any Normal XP left and need a higher Essence rating to get the next Evocations, but otherwise we'll have much better things to do with both our XP and our training time.
We certainly won't have enough XP and time left over to blow two freaking million XP on Attributes and Abilities.

Two million is excessive, yes, but most of our relevant abilities are already at five. Spending a few hundred thousand Solar experience to bump our base parameters up to their current maximum (at least until we push beyond Essence five and start getting into Elder territory) is hardly a waste. Ambition is only as good as the man who wields it, after all.

Besides, some of those Evocations are going to be gated by Essence. We won't be able to buy them all immediately.

I thought Attributes over five weren't actually a thing for Exalts anymore.
Anyways, while I'd agree that getting some stuff here and there is probably sensible once we actually have enough Charms keyed off of that for the improvement to be more valuable than an additional Charm, given the enourmous power of Ambition's Evocations that doesn't seem like it'll happen all that soon outside of the situations I already outlined.

Besides, some of those Evocations are going to be gated by Essence. We won't be able to buy them all immediately.
...
I literally just said that.

Solar experience doesn't count towards our Essence level, though.
What does that have to do with anything?

Getting some dots here and there might be doable if [...] we don't have any Normal XP left and need a higher Essence rating to get the next Evocations
I said that outside of specific circumstances spending Solar XP on Attributes and Abilities is probably rather suboptimal.
Said circumstances specifically included the next Evocations requiring a higher Essence rating.

The only difference between what I said and you repeated is that I added the qualifier that we'd also have to have no Normal XP left for the Attributes and Abilities to be worth it.
Because if we did have Normal XP left and the next Evocations were gated by Essence, odds are we'd be better off buying more Charms and moving towards the next Essence rating as opposed to spending training time on stats.

Academy is best place for us rise atributes as there are tools and teachers available.

Attribute Costs and Training Times
*Attributes cost (Current Rating x 20000) XP to raise.
*They take several months of casual training, or weeks of focused training, to improve. Casual training can be fit in during the spare moments of running a kingdom or adventuring.
*If Ulyssian has access to a mentor and a full range of appropriate resources, and does nothing other than train the Attribute, he may improve it in days.

Ability Costs
*Abilities cost (Current Rating x 10000) XP to raise.
*They take several weeks of casual training, or days of focused training, to improve.

Since Ivory has Celestial Circle Sorcery, we should only choose Occult if we want to go all the way. Sail is a good idea if we choose the Navy, but that is something that we can decide on later, for the same reason we aren't studying for the test.

Presence has nice stuff too. An awful lot of Charms with a prerequisite of 5, things like a free full Excellency for any kind of persuasion action, bonus successes when our anima's flaring, and the ability to shut people up just by staring at them really hard.
