Even Further Beyond [Complete]

Note, most of the bonus choices we get are quite bad synergy wise for the Lich option. The best synergy wise is mastering the spell. Just letting you know that.

I suppose, but I feel saving bp to spend in bigger chunks is always more beneficial (redundant phrasing aside, we've had this argument before :p).

At this point potentiation is hitting diminishing returns. I don't particularly mind because there's no HUGE opportunity cost THIS turn, but I suspect there may be one next turn if liches won. That's all.

Also I really don't like going beyond on selfish options. Maximise everyone's power, not just our own. I'm really not a fan of the "you and me baby we're just cultivating mammals so let's do it like they do in all the forbidden annals" approach of reality forming animals (THAT COULD KILL US :( ) and beyonding toxic cultivation ingredient. The only way that works is if we get the forbidden cultivators in hand... and Suizen will never accept that.

No need to trigger a party split yet. Just feels like a bit of a trap vote cause it requires so much going for it to get any proper reward

Find, kill and don't die from/lackeys die to REALITY FORMING ANIMALS, then find forbidden cultivators and DONT KILL THEM (probs a hard fight), get forbidden cultivation despite a HUGE speech check to Suizen to allow us to take advantage of toxic materials. Tbh we probably can't even really use reality forming ingredients yet.. too soon y'all. Just wait till we actually visit Kong.

To clarify - the Forbidden Techniques you can acquire from hostile Cultivators may make it possible for you to ingest poisonous materials safely. Combined with a Mastered and Beyonded Refining, you could potentially experience explosive Cultivation gains from the poisonous but power-infused flora in this region!
I thought we already had that ability

No, I meant the spell from the bonus from the omakes and stuff. The Greater Refinement.

Ah. I should note something. And I only realized it now.
The lich option is also quite good at letting us exercise those social muscles. We'd invested quite substantially into them, it would be quite a shame to let them gather dust while we run off to grind.
You see this? This is again, another option that ignores what we choose Archsmith for. We choose Archsmith to do some dungeon delving. This is just social. With Liches. So a Lich version of Vane Court.

Just wanted to leave that there for the people whom want to adventure.
[x]Spend a Beyond Point
[x] Xiaoling Cultivation Boost

[X] Xiaoling Cultivation Boost
[X] [The Ring] Seek the Lich Stronghold
Um, you are both missing an option. Unless you don't care which one wins for those.

[X] Spend a Beyond Point
It's the most flexible spell booster we have. Making it low cost means that a potential artifact can focus on improving its strength instead. Improves combat through Quickening, makes us Cultivate faster, Teleport farther, Refine better, enables Mordant Fire to do minor damage against Reality-Forming targets

[X] Xiaoling Cultivation Boost
This is a unique opportunity. She's our Second, so she should be both loyal and strong. This option achieves both, at an efficiency greater than a BP spent on our own Cultivation does (at least right now).

[X] [The Ring] Seek the Lich Stronghold
One of the reasons we came to this region was seeking out Liches. This gives us the opportunity to acquire more spell knowledge, perhaps even access to an advanced Sign. Fairly safe due to our illusion and magic immunities too. Synergy with making Xiaolong less vulnerable to mind control through better Ego Barrier.

It's both. It's the height of optimism - putting it lightly - to expect everything to go smoothly on this visit. But as they say, you can get much further with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone, so we'd have multiple ways of getting what we want.

I expect this option to involve both trade and fighting. After all, the liches are hardly a monolithic block.

I mean, it says that we may have to take them by the sword. They will still be in dungeons. They're just amazing dungeons that are way easier for us then anyone else due to our advantages, where we can scam the dungeon owners due to ring social bonus stacking with all our other social bonuses. If we say no, a boss battle where for once WE HAVE BOSS BATTLE IMMUNITIES.

Seriously. Ring op bro. It's nice to be able to tank instant death effects. Just make sure to dive in front of our lackeys xD

As for mastering refining, you're right, I misread that. I do think it doesn't stack against making Xioling punch .75 times above her weight class tho... she's our second remember. We wuv her, and want to see her grow big and strong (and do our dark bidding for us in the imperial capital when we are busy doing upside down press-ups on grandpas head to try and get titanic going).

...it's a bad idea but I kinda want to fight at least one lich. At this stage the only remaining ones must be very strong- we still haven't had a real boss battle. I want to test ourselves. And our lackeys would benefit from it too (Suizen getting battle experience against a legendary warrior, Xiaoling getting he unique experiences she expressly set out to attain. Getting perfect ego should also help her no-sell mind effects, which is pretty important.)

Nameless Versus Remnant of the Past- FIGHT

And whilst doing that, we need to increase our Lieutenant's loyalty so that while we make Titan progress, and our right hand woman does her politicing we can have our Dragon go out and do some missions/resource gathering.

[X] Don't Spend a Beyond Point
I'm not a big fan of this one. I'd rather have the extra Beyond Points for Cultivation or other spells. It might have interesting interactions with Alchemy though.
[X] Xiaoling Cultivation Boost
Poor neglected Xiaoling, when will we get to meet her? She deserves a gift.
[X] [The Ring] Seek the Lich
The quest for a sweet Vault and other treasures continues.

[X] Spend a Beyond Point
[X] Xiaoling Cultivation Boost
[X] [The Ring] Seek the Lich Stronghold

More time is very useful, Xiaoling is our Second and needs to be useful, the point of this is the Liches, so go to them.

If you ask me, the BIGGEST problem with finding Liches is the fact it feels like a dice roll to find them. If it isn't actually a dice roll, then I don't need to worry of wasting time if it wins. If it is a dice roll though, I, and even it's voters, will be quite pissed at the waste of time it'd be that we could have gone Material gathering for instead.

[X] Don't Spend a Beyond Point
[X] A Fierce Migration
[X] Seek Cultivation Materials

I feel like that taking A Fierce Migration is the best choice here, because the fact that we still have A Charmed Life means that we will get much more benefit from hunting for treasures now than we might get later, whereas we can study the Diagram on our own/later, if more slowly, and seeking forbidden Dao techniques seems unnecessary with all the options (Philosopher-king, Truth, etc.) that we are already busy pursuing.

The beyond point is worth quite a bit, more than I personally think this bonus is.

[X] Don't Spend a Beyond Point
[X] Xiaoling Cultivation Boost
[X] [The Ring] Seek the Lich

Hard choice, but I think this plays to our strengths and gives us good loot.
