Ethereal Whims, an X-COM x Star Wars Quest

So guys, do you think that we will be able to recreate our version of Advent in this star wars universe, but not as in the past. I can already see our force sect being very unique that they would be able to use psionic abilities along with the force, if we are either able to learn how it works or a hybrid with the ability to use the force.

By new version of ADVENT, do you mean an established dominion in the Galaxy?

Personally I'd like to see if psionics and the Force are two different schools of power, and see where that goes from there.

Yeah, though we focused on being more tall than wide. Cause I don't think in our current state and a few years later we would be able to compete with the Galactic Republic or any other already established power in this, far, far away galaxy. And maybe in future turns once we established ourselves, and that the clone wars happens we side with the CIS. See ourselves as a literal wrench in the grand plan on the CIS side. And also I am more of in support for the CIS as I have seen videos of their backstory, even though the clone troopers are my favorite characters besides some main ones.

And for the force and psionic part, let's have our MC learn more of the force before we think of any plans of have psionics and the force as two different schools of power. Though I think when Palpatine finds out about psionics he would be interested in us, as it will be different from the force.

The problem is that both the Republic and the CIS are controlled by the Sith. Count Dooku sabotaged the CIS a lot in the early days of the Clone Wars to make sure the Republic won. I understand if you sympathize with some elements of the CIS, but you should not forget that the companies that are largely responsible for the problems in the Outer Rim are also part of the CIS. In addition, the CIS also committed enough war crimes during the war to approach the level of Advent.
Whatever we do we'll probably need some luck and focus on covert operations if we want to make a difference in the canon.
This won't be easy but our cloning skills will probably play a big role.

That makes sense as we would be mostly tied down if we are to focus on being with the CIS, and I don't think our MC would be inclined to join even if there are those that are genuine. Though I think using covert operations and espionage tactics would work to our strengths. Especially if our MC would use some strategies from experience against X-com operative, which would be some of us played the game of XCOM and it's sequel before. And if we are to use covert operations we would simply use some of the same strategies as what XCOM has done. Strike hard and fast and steal technology along with goodies, to augment our own and maybe we can simply make this clone wars into a serious one, rather then what Palpatine/Darth sidious's plans for it was and it's conclusion. Though that will be considered for when we fully established ourselves on the current planet we are on right now.

And maybe once we have a good amount of resources, and have learned everything from the dark temple. I say we dismantle and destroy it, and have one of our buildings in it's place for our uses, mostly for psionic warriors/forces. I don't believe we would want a sith temple that could be a potential problem for us, if we are to leave it alone for to long.

It occurs to me to mention that Dromund Kaas might be erased from Galactic databases by the time of the Prequel Trilogy. Save for Palpitine and Dark Side Adepts, few are aware of the planet's existence. The Jedi do know of it, but do not treat it as a potential danger due to the Sith being in decline from their perspective.

We can possibly take advantage of that fact as the Jedi and sith would mostly focus on the Naboo blockade and the following crisis in the aftermath of it.

The thing I would like to do, if the story mostly progress as if we weren't here, is to save the Kaminoans scientists and cloning technology right after the Empire gets enstablished.

With [Relieved Elder], if you guys 'remake ADVENT', it would probably be more in line with what ADVENT pretended to be: a benevolent force that protects and guides weaker species.

@HelereTheAce I have a question, is it possible for us to say out MC reproduce or clone themselves to make more elders, or is it not possible for this quest and that we would need a hero to take over incase our MC is killed or something has happened?

Awww, oh well thanks for the answer, though I am curious as to what would happen if that were the case, guess we will find out later. I kinda hoped that we would be able to create a new brand of species that is the offshoot of the original elders, since we are in star wars.

Is the 'No More Ethereals' beat an intentional choice from our main character, due to being a Relieved Elder? ADVENT steered everything they could into the Avatar Project just so they could stave off death.

Well there's nothing we can do for the time being. Though when we established ourselves in Dromund kaas with our MC, and be able to go on space flight should our forces have an alias to other factions that are in the galaxy. So that we can maintain our secrecy and at the same time be able to interact with the galaxy in cloak and dagger. That's going to be one of our strengths in this quest.

[X] Plan: Explore and Production
-[X] Explore the Kaas City (The rotting carcass of a once-mighty city, who knows what manner of secrets might be hidden within and beneath) [1/?]
-[X] Search for the Space Port (Though the ships once docked there might be rusted and decayed, they might provide you insight into new technologies and methods of interstellar travel) [0/?]
-[X] Accelerated Hybrid Production (You don't have the facilities to produce hybrids yet, but it seems prudent to 'get ahead of the curve' as the humans would put it) [0/3]
-[X] Build a facility in the cleared area [1 out of 4 slots full]
--[X] Cloning / Hybrid Production Facility (Produces Hybrid workers, require training to be useful troopers) [1/3]

Year 1, Month 5
Explore Kaas City (Rolled D20, 19, BREAKTHROUGH) [3/?]

The exploration team began on the outskirts of the city, an even mix of Sectoids, Mutons and Vipers that each used their unique advantages to cover more ground and uncover all that they thought would be of interest to you. Mutons shoved rubble out of the way, creating entryways into long-destroyed buildings that the Vipers could slip into and survey the area, the Sectoids keeping their minds connected and keeping up a constant watch for the minds of any hostile wildlife. They made a surprising amount of progress as the month passed, finding intact, if mummified, remains. Preliminary analysis of the shriveled up flesh indicates that there is still enough genetic information to be used, if properly analyzed.

Research Option unlocked: Mummified Pureblood Sith (Sitakhari Nobilis)

Search for the Space Port (Rolled D20, 14, no effect) [1/?]

Sadly, the search for the 'Space Port' has not gone as well. There are many decayed structures that have been buried in the jungle, most of which contained nothing but dust and non-functional machinery, so rusted and damaged that nothing of value could be gleaned. It could not hide from you forever, you knew. Somewhere in this jungle, it waited.

Accelerated Hybrid Production (Rolled D20, 11, no effect) [⅓]

Progress is being made, but if you are not very careful in how you manage the growth, you will cripple the Hybrids and render them non-functional. In spite of how the rest of your kind had treated them, you refused to cut corners that might lead to the harm of your subordinates. Their lives were in your hands, and you took that responsibility very seriously.

Build Facilities:
-Cloning / Hybrid Production Facility (Rolled D20, 6, no effect) [⅔]
-Auto-Factory Facility (Rolled D20, 8 + 5 (Assassin), 13, no effect) [⅓]

Progress is being made, the new facilities progressing without any issues of note. The exploration of Kaas City, and the search for the Port, would likely be continuous efforts for the rest of the year, if you had to guess. You rest yourself on a cushion, lessening your hold on the minds of your subservients yet still guiding them. In time, you may need only a slight touch.

ACTIONS: PICK TWO

[ ] Explore the Kaas City (The rotting carcass of a once-mighty city, who knows what manner of secrets might be hidden within and beneath) [3/?]

[ ] Search for the Dark Temple (The Sith might be gone, but their Psionic Secrets remain. You believe that the effort to uncover them will be well-spent) [0/?]

[ ] Search for the Space Port (Though the ships once docked there might be rusted and decayed, they might provide you insight into new technologies and methods of interstellar travel) [1/?]

RESEARCH: PICK ONE

[ ] Accelerated Hybrid Production (You don't have the facilities to produce hybrids yet, but it seems prudent to 'get ahead of the curve' as the humans would put it) [1/3]

[ ] Extract the genetic code of the Pureblood Sith (Another psionically active Hybrid species under your control could only be a boon, though there might be… teething issues if the aggression that the presence recalled was any indication) [0/4]

[ ] Analyze the local Flora and Fauna (The plants and animals are… unnatural, whether through the interference of Psionics or gene editing, and you are eager to learn which) [0/3]

[ ] Study the bodies of the Megafauna: Felidae Kaasias that your Mutons and Vipers failed to tear to pieces (Their strength was disproportionate for their size, and their bodies were incredibly durable. Perhaps you could create a new breed of Hybrid Subservients from the genetic code) [0/4]

CONSTRUCTION: PICK TWO

[ ] Build a facility within the ship
-[ ] Cloning / Hybrid Production Facility (Produces Hybrid workers, require training to be useful troopers) [0/3]
-[ ] Auto-factory Facility (Required to produce weapons and armor for your Hybrid Soldiers) [0/3]
-[ ] Psionic Relay Facility(Required to communicate with your subservients over galactic distances) [0/3]

[ ] Build a facility in the cleared area [1 out of 4 slots full]
-[ ] Cloning / Hybrid Production Facility (Produces Hybrid workers, require training to be useful troopers) [2/3]
-[ ] Auto-factory Facility (Required to produce weapons and armor for your Hybrid Soldiers) [1/3]
-[ ] Psionic Relay Facility (Required to communicate with your subservients over galactic distances) [0/3]
-[ ] Officer Training Facility (Required to unlock 'Elite' variants of units and produce Hero Units.) [0/3]
-[ ] Sanctum of Silence (A personal facility for the Assassin to hone her skills and delve further into her psionic gifts, required to unlock more abilities for her.) [0/5]

(NOTE: All of your current units are considered 'Hybrids'. Distinctions will be made once a cloning facility is available and you choose what Hybrids to produce each turn)

HERO ACTIONS: THE ASSASSIN

(Unless the Action Specifies otherwise, the Assassin will take with her a small squad of subservients.)

[ ] Assign her to an Action
-[ ]

[ ] Do not assign her (The Assassin will default to protecting your person if not assigned to a different task)

[X] Plan: Continue the Routine
[ ] Explore the Kaas City (The rotting carcass of a once-mighty city, who knows what manner of secrets might be hidden within and beneath) [3/?]
[ ] Search for the Space Port (Though the ships once docked there might be rusted and decayed, they might provide you insight into new technologies and methods of interstellar travel) [1/?]
[ ] Accelerated Hybrid Production (You don't have the facilities to produce hybrids yet, but it seems prudent to 'get ahead of the curve' as the humans would put it) [1/3]
[ ] Build a facility in the cleared area [1 out of 4 slots full]
-[ ] Cloning / Hybrid Production Facility (Produces Hybrid workers, require training to be useful troopers) [2/3]
-[ ] Auto-factory Facility (Required to produce weapons and armor for your Hybrid Soldiers) [1/3]
[ ] Assign her to an Action
-[ ] Space Port
