Something to change, then, if or when they are encountered. It could well be an opportunity to begin laying the foundations for coexistence, perhaps even something more, starting with this Eldar refugee fleet.

@Yzarc I am wondering is it possible of Empower various primary spirit of Worldsoul to Empower the Worldsoul as a whole?

Also is it possible for 1000 to draw upon their identity from Lorgar's Mythos and Aspects? Living Saints draw upon various aspects of Emperor. Can Lorgar's sons not do the same? Closest Examples will be Eldar path system where each path Embody a certain aspect of Khaine. I am wondering can we not able to do same in case of Lorgar while his sons acting as progenitor of individual paths that fall under Lorgar's Archetype/Mythos. It more like Lorgar's Mythos act as Original Monomyth for his sons who will Embody part if his aspect that resonate most with them personality wise.

Also I wonder what will happen to their souls after death? Will it return and subsumed by Lorgar's Core Soul because in the End there is no difference between them and Lorgar's soul.

--- [X] Grant Dharok Binding, Summoning, and Warding 5
--- [X] Zen and the Art of Teaching: It comes to something when drawing a summoning circle and calling a spirit to guide him where he needs to go next isn't the strangest part of his day. His uncle has given him many gifts, but this is the strangest one yet. Dharok has been a leader before, a teacher to his men, and he was good at it and proud of that, but never like this. Sometimes all it now takes is a word, or a skilfully executed throw, and the crowd of potential recruits watching from the edge of the circle of light around the campfire or staring up from the seats at what his hosts call a 'lecture theatre' will light up. Inspiration will strike so strongly that even his under-developed precognitive senses can feel the shift in the future, and he'll know that he has found another Brother. And yet, he will have no idea how or why what he said moved them so. And that, that frustrates him, for he knows he could.

    -- [X] Grant Lorgar Synergy 5, Precognition 5, Cyberpathy 2
    -- [X] Clarify Lorgar's Philosophy
--- [X] Book 1, Chapter 1: Let there be Light… Telepathy. Precognition. Synergy. All mastered, to the degree he can master those disciplines. All, though, insufficient to describe the gestalt combination he can forge the three of them into, the whole much greater than the sum of those parts as he collaborates, not just with the greatest thinkers of this reborn world, but with his future selves and their future selves and the futures of a dozen dozen citizen jury focus groups potentially randomly chosen to represent the disparate populations and growing factions of this world, and sometimes, when his visions were clearest, the future selves of the entire planet who revealed how an instance of his philosophy would unspool over years. All without ever having to share the rejected, incremental versions that would never be with anyone or needing to telepathically touch anyone it would offend in any timeline that would come to pass. So the philosophy of a demigod is made. Superhuman means to inspire human triumphs.
-- [X] Decide Machine Spirit Rights:
--- [X] Putting a toe in the Datalake: Lorgar has become used to living in a way alien to most humanity, any period of extended concentration spinning off half a dozen threads of thought, living at least partially in the tree of continually branching potential futures alongside the present, but never before had he experienced contact with truly inhuman minds. This changes today. Even his rudimentary psyker cybersenses allow him to touch and feel and know them in a way few could. That would be revelation and challenge enough, but through them he feels something other, a layer between the warp and reality in which the data entities lived, a noosphere, that he knows one day he will have to help his people master to truly bridge the gap between Man and Machine Spirit.
    - [X] Thalassa
-- [X] Write-In: develop superior versions of her implants, starting with her Cortex implants
    --- [X] VEE purchase Precognition 5
--- [X] Climbing the Higher Mountain: Once, Thalassa, realised, she has been complacent. She has thought she was driven and ambitious, that when she had looked upon her peers and superiors and was determined to outdo them, that this was what those terms meant. How wrong she had been. Until she had witnessed what transhuman genius was, when she had watched Fan Morgan extrapolate STC designs from a handful of scraps, when she had seen Lorgar individually manage a thousand men as a lesser man would a mere handful, she realised she had more than met her match, even after she too had ascended to the join the pantheon demi-gods. That, was she had decided, unacceptable. She could rebuild herself. Faster, stronger, and above all smarter. And she can foresee just how she might do it…
    - [X] Fan
    -- [X] Cultivate Loyal Factions
    --- [X] Lorgar assists
--- [X] Faith and Reason in Harmony: Working with Lorgar is a revelation. With your combined powers and gifts you become the twin centres of the world, twin stars around which leaders, thinkers, teachers, both Lorgar's sons and mortals of this age and the last, orbit, a mental counterpart to the physical constellation you can now become. With Lorgar's newly gifted ability to partition his mind he can maintain multiple threads of thought, one ceaselessly planning, one scanning the skien of the future, one communing with you at the speed of thought, and another constantly flickering bursts of understanding to and from the lesser minds orbiting around you. The energy of will flows back up the network, the pinnacle of Synergy with his Sons producing a near bottomless well of power to fuel the near unprecedented pace of psyker power use he maintains, and it is almost with a sense of awe that you make your contribution, marrying the Primordial precision of an architect of reality with the divine intuition of a demigod to create a masterwork.
-- [X] Construct Sacred Centers for the Worldsoul
--- [X] A Thousand Shrines for a Thousand Heroes: Fan has tried to teach his son that pride can become a failing, that it can blind you to your failings. Sometimes though; one just has to be proud of a job well done. Shaping Lorgar's Sons is one. A thousand other sorcerer-shaman make what could be a tiresome task trivial, and so as you work together to raise schools and shrines to the spirits across Colchis, from the verdant depths of newly grown yet seemingly ancient forests, to the peak of strato-scraping towers, you take the time both to teach and to learn. Educating them is a joy, not just in the mechanics of sorcery, but also the lessons you taught Lorgar, what a newborn transhuman with a giant body but a fresh mind, no matter how powerful, needs to know. Learning from them is a greater joy, for they are the echoes of heroes, and though they still share one face, you know a thousand different stories will be told of their future, and you are here at the beginning, as they start to become themselves. And so, as you begin to consecrate a thousand school-shrines, at each you ask for one of your nascent heroes to volunteer as its patron, and there you ask them to choose a name, a face, a form, and you grant them the power to assume that form at will as part of the ceremony that consecrates the shrine and the ability to call on the echoes of memories they need to do so well. This is the form they will take when it is their time to take a turn teaching at one of the shrines, and the form they will take to walk amongst the people of Colchis as one of them. Much is left blank, to celebrate those deeds each shrine's patron and future pupils are left to do, but each contains a celebration of both the restoration of the world soul and and the subsequent baptism of its patron at the founding of the shrine.
---- [X] Granting the Spade Marines the three dot Shapchage mutation to adopt a specific normal human form along with three dots of Past Life. Given the full project would take a full year, a thousand uses of VEE seems possible over that period.
    -- [X] Revitalize Production Facilities
--- [X] Artifice, in both senses of the word: While upgrading a factory may be easy to a man with ten thousand mental hands that can become any tool he can conceive of and many he can't, what is much more challenging is convincing the current workforce that the transformation is merely a mundane miracle, not an overtly supernatural one. And so you become practiced in misdirection, and assemble a motley troop of assistants who are in on the ruse, both to cover who performs the upgrades and to be instant experts to teach how to use the hypertech you leave in your wake.

Turn 8: An Auspicious Start
Colchis - 831.M30

The stars glittered overhead as you and Thalassa walked through the newly restored city. The victory celebrations had wound down, and now the city was quieter, filled with the soft hum of advanced technology and the distant murmurs of a world awakening to a new era.

Thalassa walked beside you, her expression contemplative. She had always been driven, always strived to be the best. But recent events had shaken her to her core, revealing the vast chasm between her abilities and those of her peers, the transhuman geniuses who surrounded her.

"Until recently, I thought I understood ambition," Thalassa began, her voice soft but edged with determination. "I believed that my desire to outdo my peers and surpass my superiors was the epitome of drive. I looked at them and thought, 'I can be better. I will be better.' But I was wrong."

You listened intently, sensing the turmoil beneath her words. Thalassa's journey had been one of relentless self-improvement, of pushing the boundaries of what it meant to be human. But now, she faced a new reality, one where the bar had been raised to unimaginable heights.

"Seeing you extrapolate STC designs from mere scraps, watching Lorgar manage a thousand men with the ease that a lesser person would manage a handful, watching Dharok walking through legions of enemies, it was a revelation," she continued. "All of your genius is not just extraordinary; it's transhuman. And even though I too have ascended, I realize that I have more than met my match."

There was a pause as she collected her thoughts, her gaze distant. "This realization, it's unacceptable to me. I refuse to be left behind, to be overshadowed. If all of you can reach such heights, so can I. I must rebuild myself. Faster, stronger, and above all, smarter."

Her eyes met yours, burning with a fierce determination. "And I know exactly where to start: my cortex implants. The core of my intellect, the foundation of my capabilities. If I can enhance them, make them superior in every way, then I can begin to bridge the gap."

"I've been complacent," she admitted, a note of self-reproach in her voice. "I thought that being driven and ambitious meant simply outdoing those around me. But true ambition means never being satisfied, never accepting limits. It's about striving for the impossible and making it a reality."

You could see the gears turning in her mind, the plans forming as she spoke. Thalassa was a force of nature, a mind that refused to be contained. And now, she was on the brink of a transformation that could redefine her very being.

"Starting with the cortex implants makes sense," you said, offering your support. "They are the foundation of your intellect, the seat of your consciousness. Enhancing them will give you the cognitive edge you need to innovate, to see beyond the horizons that limit others."

Thalassa nodded, her resolve solidifying. "Exactly. I need to be able to think faster, process information more efficiently, and see connections that others miss. With superior cortex implants, I can achieve that. And from there, who knows what other enhancements I can develop."

Thalassa stood in her laboratory, a gleaming hall of advanced technology and arcane machinery. The city outside hummed with the life of a world reborn, but Thalassa's focus was entirely inward, her mind consumed by a single purpose: to transcend her current limits and achieve a new pinnacle of intellect.

With you by her side as the two of you were in the process of redesigning her cortex implants, the very foundation of her cognitive abilities. Her determination was palpable, a fire that drove her to work tirelessly, pushing the boundaries of what was thought possible. Yet, the path to greatness was fraught with challenges, and even the most brilliant minds could falter.

In the early stages, Thalassa approached the design process with relentless energy. She poured over ancient Mechanicus blueprints, studied the neural pathways of the greatest minds, and sought inspiration from the natural world and the arcane. Her initial designs were ambitious, incorporating cutting-edge nanotechnology, bio-neural interfaces, and psychic conduits to enhance mental processing speeds and cognitive capacity.

As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, Thalassa worked with an intensity that bordered on obsession. She meticulously crafted schematics, running simulations and experiments to test her theories. Yet, despite her best efforts, the process was not without its pitfalls.

One fateful evening, Thalassa's frustration reached a boiling point. She had been working on a particularly complex neural network, one that would allow her new cortex implants to interface seamlessly with her existing brain tissue. But something was wrong. The simulations kept failing, the neural pathways collapsing under the strain of the advanced modifications.

"This isn't working!" Thalassa exclaimed, slamming her fist on the workbench. Her eyes were filled with a rare moment of despair. "I've tried everything, but the neural connections can't handle the load. They're either overloading or failing to integrate properly."

You watched her, sensing the depth of her frustration. Thalassa had always been confident, almost to the point of arrogance, but this setback was shaking her to her core.

"Thalassa," you said gently, stepping closer. "Let me take a look."

Together, you examined the intricate web of neural pathways and bio-nanite interfaces. The problem was clear: Thalassa had pushed the technology beyond its current limits, attempting to integrate too many advanced systems without a stable foundation. The complexity of her design had become its own downfall.

"We need to simplify," you suggested, pointing out the overloaded nodes and unstable connections. "Strip it back to the basics and build from there. Focus on stability and integration first, then we can add the advanced enhancements."

"You're right. I've been trying to do too much too quickly. We need a stable foundation." Thalassa nodded, her determination returning as she saw a way forward.

With renewed focus, you and Thalassa reworked the designs. The process was painstaking, requiring endless hours of fine-tuning and testing. You stripped away the extraneous components, focusing on creating a robust core neural network that could support the advanced enhancements Thalassa envisioned.

The months that followed were grueling. There were moments of progress and moments of despair, but through it all, Thalassa's resolve never wavered. She dedicated herself entirely to the project, driven by the desire to surpass her limits and achieve true greatness.

Your guidance proved invaluable. With your help, Thalassa avoided the pitfalls that had plagued her earlier attempts, and gradually, the new cortex implants began to take shape. You celebrated each small victory, each successful test that brought you closer to the goal.

Half a year passed, filled with relentless work and countless revisions. Thalassa's lab became a second home, a place where dreams were forged through sheer determination and brilliance. And then, one day, the moment of triumph arrived.

Thalassa stood before the completed cortex implant, a marvel of bio-neural engineering. The implant was sleek and elegant, a fusion of advanced technology and arcane design. It pulsed with a faint blue light, the energy of its psychic conduits flowing through the intricate circuitry.

"We did it," Thalassa breathed, her eyes shining with a mix of exhaustion and triumph. "It's finally ready."

"Yes, we did. This is just the beginning, Thalassa. With this, you'll be able to achieve everything you've dreamed of and more." You smiled.

"I won't stop here. This is just the first step. With this new cortex implant, I will push the boundaries even further. I'll show the world what true ambition looks like." Thalassa nodded, a fierce determination in her eyes.

As Thalassa prepared for the implantation procedure, the lab was quiet, save for the soft hum of machinery and the occasional crackle of energy coursing through the implant's conduits.

You stood nearby, scrutinizing the blueprints one final time. The intricate lines and complex circuits stared back at you, each one a testament to Thalassa's genius and ambition. Yet, something gnawed at the back of your mind, a subtle unease that refused to be silenced.

You leaned in closer, tracing the neural pathways with your eyes. Suddenly, your heart skipped a beat as you noticed a minute discrepancy. A tiny deviation in the bio-neural interface, barely perceptible but potentially catastrophic.

"Thalassa, wait," you said, your voice tinged with urgency.

"What is it? We're so close." She looked up, her eyes bright with anticipation.

"There's a flaw here. It's small, but it could cause instability in the neural network. If this connection overloads, it could lead to a cascade failure." You pointed to the blueprint, your finger hovering over the problematic area.

"I see it, but it's minor. We've accounted for redundancies and fail-safes. I don't think it's significant enough to delay the procedure." Thalassa's brow furrowed as she examined the blueprint.

"We can't afford to take any chances. This implant is too important, and any flaw, no matter how minor, could have serious consequences. We should fix it before proceeding." You shook your head, feeling the weight of responsibility.

"We've already run countless simulations. This flaw hasn't shown up before. I understand your concern, but I believe it's within acceptable parameters. We need to move forward." Thalassa's eyes flashed with determination.

You hesitated, torn between caution and Thalassa's unwavering confidence.

"I understand your urgency, but I have a bad feeling about this. We've come so far, and a little more time to ensure everything is perfect won't hurt." You say finally.

Thalassa took a deep breath, her expression softening.

"I appreciate your concern, truly. But I'm ready. This implant represents more than just an upgrade—it's a new beginning. I need to see it through."

You could see the resolve in her eyes, the fierce drive that had carried her through the past six months. Despite your misgivings, you knew how much this moment meant to her.

"Alright, Thalassa. Just…promise me you'll be careful."

"I will. Thank you for everything. We're in this together." She nodded, giving you a reassuring smile.

As Thalassa began the delicate process of transforming her old implant to the new one, you watched with bated breath. The lab's sterile light reflected off the sleek metal and bio-organic components, casting intricate shadows on the walls. Your heart pounded in your chest, the fear of the unknown mingling with hope for the future.

Welp, this is an annoying action tax...

[X] Plan Least bad shit
-[X] Sensory Overload: The Cyber brain's sensory inputs are overly sensitive, leading to occasional sensory overloads that incapacitate it temporarily.
-[X] Emotional Instability: The Cyber brain experiences intense and unpredictable emotional swings, affecting its performance and interactions.

OK so the reasoning here is we are only going to stick with this shit for one turn which means we should choose the things that that are the least problematic under the relatively controlled conditions of Colchis.
  1. If you are in a controlled environment you can just not have loud noises and bright lights
  2. Thalassa is not in charge of anything, of all the Circle she is the least 'in charge' so her being bad at regulating her emotions is not as bad as any of the others, again under controlled conditions

To be clear, the flaw is not active always but only for the duration of the limit break.

Yeah, but my point is if we redesign this thing next turn, which we should because it is shit, we only have to potentially worry about getting a limit break off it this turn. So we should pick the things that are the least likely to be a problem with the present winning plan of staying on planet and building infrastructure.

I am curious about one thing though @Yzarc can we not spend willpower on design rolls? Because Thalassa has Iron resolve, that is a flat +2 successes.
I counted that separately. You got 144 points on design.

That said, I made a mistake. Thalassa has the merit, Because I Think I Can (6 points) meaning she cannot blotch it.

So modified votes incoming.

IGNORE THE PREVIOUS VOTE.

Even without that she could spend Willpower like it's water. She gets 1 back every 15 minutes.

That said very much a relief. :)

Yeah, I was confused there. Okay, good news is that as a ballpark, we could put 3 dots in one area and 2 in all others. Tweak up and down as needed. Personally, I would like 4-5 in Safety, since this is a brain implant, after all.

Keep in mind that this implant will be spread to other members in the planet. It is a T3 implant so choose the dots visely.

A global x5 on mental is a significant boost in special projects.

Agree it is right next to decision making bits, its needs to be safe
edit: @Yzarc what does Environmental Impact do for implants (especially not weapon ones)?

This adds attrition and negative penalties to population growth due to production. Not a problem in Colochis due to an active world spirit, but it can build up quickly if you go mass factories.

This is a reasonably balanced brain other than safety which is on max because it is a brain, you really do not want that to be unsafe.

What does Interoperability mean for brain implants, including this one? Because I had a similar plan to DragonParadox's, but I was thinking about doing IO 0. I realized I probably should check first though.

Ever tried to run a windows file in Linux?

You need to translate the programming and that is what this is. How much of a penalty you suffer from interfacing with a tech that runs on different software.
If you put that at 0 I suspect it would not be able to operate with other implants I think which would be bad for the ad mech.
less not operate and more get a lot of penalties.
