To make people actually remember, here's it once for posterity: Minako is nonbinary and uses they/them. This message will be pinned so you people stop getting it wrong and pissing me off. If you get it wrong in the future I'm going to be much less nice, considering you have to scroll past it just to read the quest.

[x] Go after Minako. Figure out what's wrong.
-[x] Message Kyouko and Sayaka mentally. Let them know what's up.

Mina is one person. How many magi are there in the world? How could they possibly save all of them? ...and I suspect that's a big part of why they're kind of freaking out right now. (Imagine you were the only person in the world who could cure cancer, but you could only do it a few people at a time, in person.)

It'd take time, but I could see Mina purifying the witches of most of the Magi in the world. Probably not all, due to whatever problems might arise and because KB can keep contracting new magi.

Imagine the they someone makes a Contract and they get put on a plane and flought to Mitakihara for Pacifying before being sent back. :V

If me message it mentally, Kyubey is going to know immediately. Might I suggest putting to use Takane's mad typing skillz she didn't know she had?

Assume, conservatively, that Mitakihara has a population of about 1 million, and that Mitakihara's meguca density pre-Waluiginight is about average globally. That means tens of thousands in total. If Mina pacifies 10 witches per day every day (which doesn't seem like a sustainable pace long-term), that's still probably in the range of 5-10 years to get a large majority of them. And, while I'm not denying that this might be possible, I think we need to keep in mind how overwhelming of a responsibility this is and how easy it would be for Mina to burn themselves out trying to save everyone. (Assuming there's not some hidden catch or limitation we haven't discovered yet, which is entirely possible.)

Very good point. Information security is important. QB will almost certainly find out eventually, but no need to give it extra time to plot. Slightly revised vote:

[x] Go after Minako. Figure out what's wrong.
-[x] Message Kyouko and Sayaka by an instant communication method other than QB-mediated telepathy. Let them know what's up. If they don't respond promptly, message them by telepathy in a way that conveys urgency without disclosing details of Minako's powers.

Since Koko and Saka use burner phones, maybe Coobie doesn't pay as much attention to them as he does to telepathy. Maybe.

Assuming he wasn't watching the fight and doesn't already know? What's the difference for him finding out immediately or ten minutes from now?

I'd like for the fucker to work a little to earn his info, you know. Otherwise, none. Like, if there's a chance that if we do something and he doesn't find out about Minako for a little longer, works for me.

I don't think it makes all that much difference either way.

That's a longwinded way to say call by phone. :p

QB: Sayaka and Kyoko, you refused to help me save the universe. As restitution, I am contracting your child.
*later*
QB: NOT AS PLANNED! NOT AS PLANNED!

It fits though.

Literally by definition they can't understand empathy, and that's what's turned this from a disaster waiting to happen into a miracle.

Oh they can try to plot it, but empathy's always been that gooey monkey thing that lets us care about things outside ourselves by trying to feel what they're feeling, even if it fucking hurts like hell.

Your name is Mami Tomoe. And your soul gem will never darken again. A second ago you were fighting a witch's familiars, and currently you are standing amid a sparkling purple field. You pull your gem off of your hat to look, and surely enough, you can see that your gem hasn't even darkened a little. Not an iota of blackness anywhere in your gem.
QB is going to fucking kill us. This is nearly as bad for his harvest as Madoka becoming a god.
I'm really tempted to post a "what can I say except you're welcome" meme, but it would ruin the moment.
Amen, I wanted to drop an All Might reaction face to the I am here.

There's no guarantee that /人◕‿‿◕人\-physics is at all comparable with real physics, but, uh... I'm pretty sure a limitless source of magic very blatantly goes against entropy, and thus aligns with its stated goal of preventing the heat death of the universe. Maybe we should be worried about QB trying to steal sool jim to use as endless energy batteries or something.

Infinite energy isn't worth much if it takes a massive amount of time to harvest.
The energy released from witching out was so significant that the Incubators thought it was a worthwhile investment to create a pocket universe the size of a city to try and simulate a universe that Madoka couldn't interfere. If I remember Rebellion correctly at least.

More like, their motivation was to optimize the output of energy, because Homura babbled about there being a next stage to their energy generation process, which was currently blocked by someone.

What I mean is, they are greedy little fucks, even if the increase wasn't that significant, they'd try anyway, because.

As someone on this forum pointed out ( AuraTwilight, I think), they tapped in a forbidden well of knowledge in order to combat entropy, unearthed the dreaming god who overtook their reality and remade the universe so that they would endlessly suffer for their indiscretion.

Incubators got Cthulhu'd by Homura.

KB's problem is that it only realizes it shouldn't fuck around with human emotions right before the universe gets rewriten so it unlearns that lesson. :V
