The previous character had the necessary amount of Lores to visit the expedition in Manaus, and we would most likely have gained the knowledge of the grail and the moth that we needed.
Did the players vote for this expedition? No.
So now that we need to make a focused effort, my skepticism is very strong.

That's what the Heart option does, I imagine. Without sufficient Heart we probably just can't dance along the surface.

But anyway there aren't that many players that something like this is intractable. If we do bring it up we may get assigned to it, which would be nice. But I expect we'll be told to find rituals.

Reserved success feels most in line with our character, and lets us work on Heart to tackle the Expedition ourselves. We're still chasing Glory, even if we have other goals. We're still seeking Power, even if only to better be able to help others. If this gets us something useful, we can share, but if it's only useful to whomever finds it, better us and our active attempts to aid others than some of the others who aren't inclined to aid the rest like we are.

At the same time, offering to share the Dappled Wing with the others if it could help them would be an awesome way to boost poor relationship with someone. Dismas maybe? Hmm…

Maybe a version with showing off the dappled wing, in case anyone wants it? We don't really have an immediate use for it, and actions we have no use for are not a potential loss to us, unlike losing the expedition.

Tbh this is our first progress report, and the Wax Trail isn't really directly relevant to our role as the ritualist. Maybe if we later find something interesting, but for now I don't think there'd be much point in bringing it up.

Greed is a vice unbecoming a priest. But in any case, it looks ridiculous enough when we've spent a lot of effort to establish a relationship with the inner circle and now suddenly we're hiding a small piece of knowledge that we can't even swallow.

Unless someone is forge we're still the best option for it anyway. And there's little reason to share it at this time. (We don't know everyone lores, but no one has any obvious signs of being forge. Maybe ava could be?)

So why not tell everyone, Patron included, "hey we found a thing, looks pretty neat, we're going to take a look". Then we'll get that little bit more admiration and a plain explanation for any mishaps or nifty relics we end up with. Heck, maybe Lady Mylissa knows exactly what it is and will give us a hint as a reward for being proactive and forthcoming.

How do we know? Maybe someone studied the heart aspect or the forge aspect. But in any case, it doesn't change the fact that we can't use it ourselves now, and until now no one had the idea to develop the heart to go on an expedition.

Minor counter: You're right, we don't know. We're the best suited as far as health goes. No one else has nearly as much HP as far as we know and can reasonably assume.

More importantly… some of us did want to study Heart and go on the expedition. We were just more focused on completing our assignment due to the time crunch. I for one, was one of those. Since there wasn't a point in bringing up sobering that not many would go for at the time thanks to how little time there was, I mentally set the desire aside to come back to later when we had more time and opportunity. Which is here and now.

Should we report on the inroads we made with Damsel? I don't think we're at the level of being able to actually get her help on things, and I'd rather just get a keep at it from the Master by underplaying it.

I think we would tell Master that currently we could not get her to do anything. We simply have a possibility that one day she could help us.

But I would not mind telling less, if there is a Plan for that.

Best keep our job separate from the Cult, at least until it has more influence/reputation.
Damsel of Distress being our first Parahuman recruit is just nice.

I hope the master decides to take the financial burden of providing Damsel on himself. Paying the "tribute" hits our budget pretty hard, and we don't know how burdensome it is for Charlotte.
