Slip and Smack has both Grease AND Invulnerability, if you'd like the endless utility of Grease, and the ultimate defense of Invulnerability.

My instinct is that something like Grease is more likely to be found in a shop than Invulnerability.Slip and Smack has both Grease AND Invulnerability, if you'd like the endless utility of Grease, and the ultimate defense of Invulnerability.
[X] Plan Hard Cash
-[X] A spellbook of Invulnerability
-[x] 500,000 gold pieces
[X] If Drew gets a spellbook of Invulnerability, give it to Taylor
The potions are really sick, don't get me wrong. I'm just not sure how much to prioritize them, y'know?[X] Plan Hard Cash
I prefer the mana potions to the cash, but it seems I'm the only person in the thread who even considered taking those potions. I may as well consolidate my vote.
There are indeed both upsides and drawbacks to this. I prefer to give it to Taylor now because we want to abuse casting it on someone else and I don't want to miss out on this on floor 4 if we decide to have Drew pick another class than Mystic Scholar for some unforeseen reason… or simply if he picks Mystic Scholar but rolls badly and does not get the spellbook creation ability. Moreover, Drew already has Smoke Form, Shield, and Dart to spend mana on, while Taylor doesn't really have a mana sink. Drew also needs to get charisma to boost his racial luck skill, while Taylor is free to pump up intelligence. So Taylor would have more mana to devote to pulling explosive stunts and levelling up the skill.I'm not sure if that's optimal. Right now Taylor doesn't have his cast on anyone power, and if we want other people to have it we'd have to spend Sysop on it. If Drew takes it, that would make Mystic Scholar worthwhile again. We could make tons of spellbooks for it and sell/give out the extras.
Edit: that's assuming that Drew wouldn't lose the spell on the next floor. I don't know if that's a safe bet.
If we get Taylor a Create Spellbook spellbook then he can just copy the spell anyways.I'm not sure if that's optimal. I will bet $10 to the charity of your choice that that loophole will be closed in the version of Mystic Scholar that we're offered on the next floor. If we get Taylor a Create Spellbook spellbook then he can just copy the spell anyways.
True, but we want Taylor to start getting skill xp ASAP for it.If we get Taylor a Create Spellbook spellbook then he can just copy the spell anyways.
You're on.I will bet $10 to the charity of your choice that that loophole will be closed in the version of Mystic Scholar that we're offered on the next floor.
For $9 to the charity of my choice, I'll make you win that bet. :>I will bet $10 to the charity of your choice that that loophole will be closed in the version of Mystic Scholar that we're offered on the next floor.
How much would you charge to make me lose it? I want some spellbook spellbooks. For $9 to the charity of my choice, I'll make you win that bet. :>
TAYLOR: It's karma for not discussing it with the rest of usHonestly, I'm just really hoping Lio is suitably pissed that her sub-race ended up being super common/generic, and that she ends up grumbling about it. Mind you I understand from an OOC perspective, and probably Levi does too, that the class covers a gaping hole in our team composition; but for Lio I just have this image of her being upset she didn't get the super hyper SSR rare sub-race from her mystery box pull.
Now? I've always been bribing the qm
