Hmm. Do we have anything that could create a loud bang and/or bright light? The light probably won't help, that they are still running around like this after modt certainly looking at the cutting beam. But any distraction may prove useful. It seems like it would only take a few moments to break the armor and without that they don't seem nearly as dangerous.
Sounds more like some kind of plasma weapon rather than curse magic... oh. Huh. Looks like the air force has arrived and is engaging the horrors? Well at least that should buy us some time. Hopefully they don't become horror chow.
Also I think the Knight might be just armour. Given well. Not seeming to care about the thin air. Their odd weight to agility ratio. Only appearing as a core node to the scanner. Their glow face? Because it really looks like there's nothing else behind that visor. Not seeming to care about the heat from where the cutting beam hit at all. Though to be fair, just being an extremely well equipped bastard would explain all that as well.
So, things going on outside.
Good news (potentially): Two things flying in the distance. Note the streaks of light crossing each other. Could be emergency response, in which case, maybe try signaling for help.
Bad news (potentially): It's hard to make out, but it appears the big spiky thing has changed course and is coming closer, perhaps attracted by the magic being thrown around.
Would be best to quickly do what you can for Seyr, then get everyone inside. Problem is, sword maniac.
Not sure as to the extent of their magical protection, when they jumped backwards they might have just been startled, or expecting another, more powerful attack, or it could have limited uses.
Anyway, if disabling the nutjob is not an option (Not sure if Zalan can quickly improvise a magic flashbang, or if it would even do anything, and I do not have any other ideas. In case Zalan does try something like that, remember to warn Tieran-Sha, Swordy seems to speak a different language so will not be warned.), you could just try to herd them away from the exit, help Seyr move, and just get out.
Edit: The big spiky thing might actually be moving away, again, its hard to tell.
How about grabbing Seyr and jumping through the hole, flying down? If possible, applying the patch while doing so. It didn't sound like he'd die within seconds, but that fight description read like it takes at least minutes to come to a (hopefully positive) resolution, and that might be to late for Seyr.
Also, if the Knight(?) cannot fly, at least this antagonist would stop trying to kill Zalan.
This guy is a remarkable asshole. You were just STANDING HERE.
That gauntlet is making me unwholesomely afraid. Keep playing defensive and keep that ceiling panel ready. Don't get spallation in your eyes if you have to block with it.
Listen, this isn't brave, but - can you and Tieran-Sha outrun this guy? It might not be possible to save Seyr *and* your own lives from this monster.
We could probably throw the shield at the knight and use a force blast for a boost as a distraction before grabbing the patch for Syer and jump off the building to escape. Zalan doesn't think they'd hold against the knight so it's proper fodder. Maybe throw the spear at him or Tieran-Sha to use as well.
what's the heaviest thing you can grab with that magic grip thing of yours? Because I'm wondering if you can't grab the knight and just throw him out the hole in the wall or at least his sword and toss that fucker like a hot potato through the hole. If you can't grab the knight or anything on his person then maybe just find something large and see if you can't use it to (at beast) push him out the hole or (at worse) pin him agains a wall.
What are your strengths? Analysis, number crunching. You might do best in supporting Tieran-Sha. You have a chance while he's taking most of the focus.
[X] Take a good hard look at the knight's active magical auras and wards. He can't be protected against everything!
[X]WAIT! If that manipulator spell of yours bounced off a counterspell in the armour, couldn't you grab this guy by that cape and yank him? Just uhh, don't expect that ragged thing to hold up for more then a single pull and you should be fine.

Zalan spares a moment to focus hard on the maneuvering lights, a few miles distant. His big eyes aren't just for looks. (well, technically they are...)
...It is the Air Guard!
Zalan doesn't know how to contact them directly, but he feels a surge of hope.
War dragons can be much sneakier than this, but these two don't seem worried about provoking the airship-monster. They're burning in hot, doing a close, high speed pass, propulsion fields shining bright. In that case, there'll be a very loud noise, very shortly. Zalan's thoughts trip over themselves trying to plan around it.
There isn't really time to analyze anything. Wait, that's not true. He can deduce a few things. The stranger's durable and full of defensive effects, but they don't have the mass of the two dragons. If they were somehow anchored in place, they wouldn't be recoiling from hits. That's not exactly a weak point, but they can make use of it...

"Tier, when the noise arrives, help me get rid of the fucker," Zalan says rapidly. "I'll-"
Two deafening sonic booms arrive like thunderbolts.
Zalan leaps forwards and desperately grabs at the stranger's cloak with his manipular field. The counterspell does seems to extend to the cloak, enough to make it slippery, but a dragon's magick is not so easily negated. Zalan can just manage to get a grip between his fields. Even that isn't enough to stop the stranger from yanking free, but it does let him spear the fabric through with some sharp debris.
The distraction ends. The stranger turns their attention to what's happening. They pull harder than a human should, and begin casually ripping through the durable cloth.
Tieran-Sha grabs them by the leg and shakes them like a doll. His lips draw back, and his jaw clenches visibly, producing a hiss of teeth grinding away at defensive spells. He looks ready to hold on and bite and bite until the problem's solved for good, but a flailing swing of the stranger's sword catches him in the back. Tier tries to shield himself with his wing, then grabs out with a forelimb, reaching for the sword. The armored figure levels their casting gauntlet. Tier's eyes widen. He whips his head around and hurls his opponent into the great beyond.
oh you've got to be fucking joking
The human launched some kind of grapnel. A glowing line connects it to their casting gauntlet.
Zalan chucks another panel at them.
It collides with the stranger with a satisfying clang. Through instinct or sheer luck, it bisects the energy connecting the grapnel to the stranger. The stranger falls, and the grapnel a moment later.
The armored figure fails to recover where Zalan can see them, but they've already arrested their momentum. Instead of being flung all the way to the ground, they fall straight down, and Zalan knows there's more arcology levels to land on, and more surfaces to grab hold of.
Tieran-Sha gives chase, leaning over the edge, preparing a fresh blast of his cutting beam.
"Don't shoot don't shoot!" Seyr wheezes. "Get back! Or the creature outside will hit us again!!"
Zalan thinks the airship monster's got much bigger problems right now, but Tieran-Sha tsks, holds his fire, and ducks back. His reflexes seem keyed to avoid hurting people, which under any other circumstance would be admirable, but right now, Zalan really wishes that little armored bastard were dead. For now, he catches his breath.
"Do you think they fell-" Zalan interrupts himself. "You're hurt! Should I-"
"I've had worse. Help Seyr," Tieran-Sha says firmly.
Seyr, it seems, has yanked out the chunk of metal that had speared him, and has started to bleed worse than before.
"Aaa why'd you pull it out!" Zalan says.
"I- I could feel it hurting me when I moved," says Seyr. "I couldn't just hold still and wait to be killed."
The spear has revealed a nasty, open wound. Zalan can only guess how many tons of weight went into the spar of metal that speared him. And yet, it is only a physical wound. It isn't brimming with sickening energy the way Tieran-Sha's much shallower wound is.
"Tier, this is pretty bad but I'm not actually sure if this is worse than yours," Zalan says. "I don't have the experience with curse magic."
Vote:
[] Zalan could reprogram the corrective patch to treat Tieran-Sha inst-
"Stop wasting time!" Tieran-Sha growls. "Treat his wound at once."
Zalan puts the patch on Seyr. He applies it levelly and carefully, holds it tight, then activates the complex spell embedded inside.
Tieran-Sha, meanwhile, fiddles with his own medical module to treat himself. "I am not some vegetable garden to be withered by a witch's errant hex," he grumbles.
Zalan focuses on Seyr. The corrective patch glows with life magick. For seconds, it seems alive. It binds with the scales of Seyr's back, and reaches deep into the wound. The dragon gasps with surprise. His eyes widen. Then lets the breath out as a sigh and his eyes drift half-lidded, his pain fading.
"Impressive," says Tieran-Sha. "This school is provident indeed, to lavish medicine of such quality on kits passed out to students. I've seen more meager offerings at sites where trauma is expected."
"Well, ah... my kit might not be completely standard," says Zalan, with a nervous smile. "Onnnn that note, it also contains three Life magic pills which uh... Well, I bet I could impress you twice."
"Still Zalan the alchemist, eh?" asks Tier with a playful tone. "I don't suppose this could be why your aura has taken on such a dire hue? Or why you first looked at me with the expression a rabbit might offer a raptor, only to approach an armored dragonslayer as though they were a math problem?"
"Oh. Well. ...mebbe," Zalan mutters.
Tieran-Sha laughs softly.
He didn't actually say whether he wants one or not. Zalan isn't sure if he's worried about side effects or just wants to tough it out. For what it's worth, it would probably help. He may not know curses, but filling up Tier's natural healing with life energy should make him better at fighting it off, whatever it is.
On the other hand, there's probably fifty other things to worry about.
[X] Well, if Tier wants to try and tank it he's clearly volunteering to be a lab rat-we can keep an eye on how it effects him and perhaps extrapolate the curse base.
Plus, you should know him well enough to be better able to determine when it's time to give him more focused medical attention.
[X] Ask Seyr if he knows any locations where others may be that are nearby. And whether he he can help evacuations or if he should be brought to the others.
