Zalan
Engage murder mode on the tiny two-legged source of noise behind you
Channel your inner 'fed up with today's shit', add a dash of primal instinct, and multiply it by your level of PANIC
And pounce and maul the fucker who's coming up behind you
Pretty sure this is not how Zalan would react. He is a grad student. His job is information processing. He is a civilian. As far as I can tell, there has been no indication he would be at all comfortable with violence, or has any real skill at combat. His first instinct to danger would be to evade, or possibly yeet something close at hand at the threat if it is rushing him, and use the time provided by the threat flinching away to evade. Actually going on the offensive would be a desperate last resort.
So, it looks like there is something behind Zalan. Be prepared to act once it is identified. If it is a threat, he could either dodge (By itself the safest choice, but might leave the injured Seyr in danger) or quickly throw something at it to distract it. The crank seems to be close, though it is probably still attached and might not reach so throwing it at the thing may or may not be an option. Magic might be an option, perhaps something like a bright flash of light to temporarily blind whatever it is. It should be quick, requiring no preparation, something Zalan can be certain to pull off even under pressure.
Turn around and identify what it is. It might not be something to worry about, say, another student, in which case just focus on getting everyone to a safe(r) location, Seyr does not appear to be in immediate danger.
If it is dangerous, then react, buy some time, get the threat rushing at you to stop, if only for a brief moment. After that, probably let Tieran-Sha take the lead, Zalan can provide support. Be mindful of the currently incapacitated Seyr. If the threat is slow enough, it may be possible to just flee, have Tieran-Sha and Zalan grab Seyr, jump out and fly away, or at least glide away, though this is obviously not Plan A.
As before, Seyr appears to be stable, so just focus on getting everyone to safety, healing can come later, preferably by a professional (Unless Seyr is actually in critical condition, or is in danger of reaching critical condition soon).
If all else fails, a desperate attack might resolve the issue, but, again, last resort. People can achieve things they would not have believed possible in moments of extreme stress, but there is also the possibility of total, painful failure.

'Fight or Flight' isn't decided by a personality trait, and these dragons seem to have a lot of territoriality and defensive-aggression in them by nature.
Computer nerd or not, this is an apex predator with possibly thousands of years of biological programming, now put into a corner in front of two vulnerable people they want to protect.
It has been a bad day.
They are currently running on a mixture of drugs, green tea, fear, and panic.
And this isn't even their own room.
The only way out is barred by a tiny creature probably made of meat, bone, and ego.
[X] Turn around, check the door. If no intruder is available and Seyr was just joking/delirious, get back to first aid, aka stopping the bleeding and fixing the spike so it does not jostle. Stabilize enough to move to a proper facility, let them handle it.
I'm going to be honest, I was thinking of Tieran-sha as like a junior dragon knight. Seems he's more Dragon Paramedic. Still a cool dude, just unfortunately for us, not military-trained.
[X] Knight behind you! MURDER-HOBOS ARE LOOSE IN THE BUILDING!
Infinitely more by the second even. So probably shouldn't worry about locking em. Or worry about this event possibly seriously damaging this reality's, seemingly, naturally weak planar boundaries. If that's even the term.
[x]hey Zalan, focus buddy. I know you're experiencing a lot of anxious intrusive thoughts right now. It's ok, this is a weird situation, and that elixir is having some side effects. You had a plan, though, so stick to it. Seyr, the patch. But you know what, go ahead and take another look around the room before you start. Check the safety of the scene, you know? That's something they say in first aid training, right?
[X] Keep your cool and have Tieran-Sha guard yourselves against the intruder while you inspect the living shrapnel more closely. Wave something around it in case their is some invisible tether.
We have ourselves a properly trained guard here, let have him do the job instead of our delirious half drugged self and tend to the injured guy.
[X] Turn around. If there is something behind us and it is immediately and clearly hostile, deal with it. If not, apply patch to Seyr.
If Seyr can talk like that, they're not going to immediately die. Check what's going on, we should definitely apply first aid if safe but getting ambushed would be far worse.
Seyr's wounds seem to be largely from the collapsed building and whatever made it collapse (the foreign matter), so it's hard to be sure how dangerous or hostile this thing is.
Still probably best to be on guard.
Also a response to the earlier self-blame: the dragons running the project freaked out because an untested prediction system was throwing out terrifying results. Given they had been performing the experiment it had passed whatever checks they did. That means that things were probably already starting to go wrong when your program came online, and they would have just ignored your program's results until the point things started going wrong no matter when it was delivered.

This. Or better still, make sure Tieran checks behind you, because they're both more physically adept and carrying the tools and gear to help them assess threats both structural and, for example, sword-wielding.
Do not respond by immediately turning around and laserbreathing some half-glimpsed thing. That's how you get Internexus headlines about some druggie dragon accidentally killing their mother or something.
Zalan's almost done readying the corrective patch for Seyr when he realizes they aren't alone. It takes him a moment longer to understand he's in immediate danger.
Zalan makes a high roar in surprise. He can taste the battlemagick radiating off that blade as it passes through the space where his neck was a moment before. Reflexively, he tries to push the attacker away. His manipular field meets some kind of counterspell magick embedded in the figure's armor and slides off.
However, the stranger seems to feel the impact, and leaps backwards with surprising speed, perhaps thinking Zalan's field was more of a threat than it really was.
For a moment, they size each other up.
Tieran-Sha growls a challenge. "What blackguard are you who attacks first responders?"
The stranger shouts back to him in a human voice, using a language Zalan doesn't know and his personal attendant module can't translate. He thinks he may have heard the word "dragon," which doesn't really tell him anything. Zalan doesn't have enough experience with smallfolk to tell if the stranger's struggling with the drop in air pressure, but surely they must be...?

He's actually in the construction arts, but he used to be in the Silverdrakes, which is an order of young adult dragons (traditionally drakes, hence the name, though they accept any gender) who do knight-errant things like firefighting, rescuing smallfolk from floodwaters, or showing the flag. He has definitely been in scraps before, but not against dragonslayers with enchanted weapons. If he had, Zalan would never hear the end of it.
Tieran-Sha's cutting beam isn't really a Breath weapon, his harness isn't really armor, and the Silverdrakes aren't really a fighting force, but in comparison, Zalan has nothing, nothing, and nothing.
What does he have...?
•His manipular field, which seems ineffective against the stranger.
•The general purpose medical module in his Crown node. It's specifically designed NOT to hurt people...
•A module-less Breath technique that produces a not-very-deadly blast of force. Zalan hasn't practiced with it since he was an adolescent, but it's something.
•The medical corrective patch he dropped, prepped and configured to treat Seyr.
•His voidspace inventory of personal effects, but the most dangerous thing he's got is a folding knife, assuming he packed it in his haste. He does have his own set of wings, but that could take half a minute to install.
•Whatever he can grab around him.
•Whatever happens when you mix this much elixir with this much adrenaline.
Dragon strength + rubble = buried attacker. Doesn't matter if he's got some kind of anti-magic, a few tons of broken construction material should at least stall him.
Yeah, the "throw shit at him" will probably do something at least.
This guy probably isn't quite as tough as he appears - if this is what the door was locked against then he had to collapse the building to take down one dragon.
