Wow y'all are pretty mad about this. Might I suggest toning it down a notch?
- This isn't that bad. Several of the spots on the map were stationary, so we don't lose much in the way of progress. It also keeps the map from being a crutch for us.
- We're seeing the other characters interact more, and build relationships between eachother and not just sort of sitting around waiting for Eldingar to ask them out. Now things have a personal stake.
- Takara is set up for interesting interactions with us in the future. Their reason for wanting the map is probably the crux of a route, and also now we have potentially an actual rival for affections. Its a unique tension!
- This also may have the potential to lead us to new locations after we've cleared the areas we saw the lights in.
And in return all we lose is a map that points out Who Specifically Is Romancable. Which I'd think by now should be fairly self evident to us as readers and Eldingar. Usually because, like him, they're a Lonely Monster Person.
or Issachar, the fucking weirdo.
Not to mention, they did keep their word and help us save our house, while also fucking over a rival royally. So maybe we'll fight, maybe we'll find closure, but ultimately I'm not gonna write Takara off just yet.
