There is nothing you've missed. I was mentioning stuff that I know from articles I've read. It may be not be the same in the Quest, but it may be. However with nothing said otherwise, I tend to go with what happens in the real world.

PR firms may be pickle musicians for all I know in the Quest, but when I talk about PR firms I mean the ones in real life.

So if I'm to talk about News Media and PR nightmares, I'll assume they operate the way I know they work in real life, unless and up until there is some source to say that they don't.

What other way is there really? Am I to assume real world rules don't apply and that the Reporters exist for the purpose of promoting Willies interests instead? When that runs counter to their behavior and goals in real life?

I didn't make any child cry.

I don't understand why people are name-calling and insinuating things about me when I have not said anything but reply to posts naming me or quoting me since last month.

I have not requested any action other than to please stop harassing me of any poster here for days. Or to explain why they are doing it.

I have not criticised or even commented on anyone else's suggestions unless they name me or quote/reply to me in their suggestion, also for days.

The vote had been called, and I eagerly await the story, but all the posts here are instead about me, my 'real' motivations, and how I'm making a big deal about nothing! Oh and about how I'm just a troll, and not someone you have to worry about hurting their feelings!

March 31...

March 31 is the last request I made other than to request answers for why posters were saying things about me! I have not bothered anyone with requests to vote a different way. I have made no comments on the many posts that came after that, unless I was mentioned, quoted, or replied to.

Yeah, see, I imagine that Nagato's going to huff at us... But from the anime (which is my best base), Nagato's temper isn't excessively short. She'll probably demand an explanation... And then she'll likely demand an apology. I doubt she'll make a big deal out of it, because Nagato realizes she has to be a professional.

(If Yamato backs us up on the "We were minding our own business and then Hoppo showed up to say 'Go Home'" thing, I imagine that Nagato will just glower and say "See that it doesn't happen again" before taking Hoppo away)

My post on PR was in response to the relative difference of whether a missle attack would be a worse PR nightmare than a Fight with Nagato.

I stated I didn't see a difference, in PR terms.

Also Nagato has taken no action in the story as of yet that could be reasonably described as "making a fuss". Or any active action for that matter, other than arrive.

So there's nothing in your post that would have suggested to me that you were referencing Nagato, or even the story.

    You try to get yourself to have a fuck, but your Fairy Quartermaster informs you that, sadly, none are left on board.

    So you stoically meet the glare of the approaching Battleship without much fanfare.

    "Is there a problem, Nagato?" you ask in a tone conveying that you are 420% done with shenanigans for today. You're so done that you want to do nothing more than give out weed to your crew and have them hotbox your hull. Yeah, that would be interesting. Or something.

    Nagato immediately launches into a sternly spoken lecture... which you don't understand. Because you're not fluent in Japanese.

    A Fairy standing on top of your head summarizes your feelings about this.

    "Speak American!" it chirps, before doing a little dive into the water.

    "Ah, Porter," Yamato moves over, looking concerned, "Forgive me for asking, but have you been bullying Hoppo-chan?"

    "You mean the Abyssal?" you blink slowly, "No... if anything, she's been bullying me."

    "I see," she nods, "Well, Nagato-san seems to be under the impression that you have been harassing Hoppo."

    You look over to see Hoppo hiding behind Nagato's legs while the Battleship glares at you angrily.

    "...That's another thing," you turn back to Yamato, "Whose idea was it to keep an Abyssal on your base?"

    "It was Nagato's," Yamato informs you, "We originally captured her for research purposes, but when that did not turn out as expected, Nagato requested ownership. Since then, we have gleaned a few details on Abyssal behavior."

    "I see," you sigh, sinking a bit deeper into the bath, "Well, Yamato, I really don't want to deal with Hoppo right now or her angry owner. That little Abyssal has made my day a bit of a headache, so.... yeah."

    "Understood," Yamato turns to Nagato and begins talking to her.
    ...
    You just want to rest.

    You hear a tiny little splash, and you see Mahan setting some of her Fairies down in rowboats and launches.

    "Come on, Porter!" she smiles, "Won't you join me?"

    Your Fairies cheer from your shoulders. They want to join in! Even Yamato has perked up at the idea, and is placing her own Fairies in her boats. They're brandishing small foam swords while Mahan's Fairies wave about tiny foam dart guns.

    The anger drains out of Nagato's face, and she sits down next to the bath to watch.

    Huh. Looks kind of fun. Should you join in the war game?

    Also, if we join in on Mahan's side Nagato is likely to join in on Yamato's. IIRC Mahan is a destroyer like us, so... not exactly a fair fight.

    What about joining in on Yamato's? Most likely she'll be able to cajole Nagato in evening the odds for Mahan, might be an interesting way to get some good Japan/American cooperation practice...
