That's because there's nothing to understand, Matou.

Nagato isn't "Overwhelming Rage" because she just doesn't like Willie's attitude.

She is genuinely hurt by Willie's actions. Willie's words didn't just hit a bullseye on the intended target. They hurt Nagato too!

Nagato is not in the wrong. She is not bad, mean, evil or has issues.

And Willie's further actions don't occur in a vacuum either.

She hurts Nagato, then she hurts whoever cares about her, admires her, or has some kind of relationship to her.

Nagato's reasons are that we made her pet abyssal moeblob cry. You seem to think it's more than that for some reason.

Yeah, as far as I know we haven't done anything to Nagato directly - I think the only time we interacted with her was just after finding out about Hoppo for the first time and nothing particularly offensive happened then.

You're probably right, I was rude. So I deleted the post.

I missed that one.

On a scale with what landcollector suggested was it much worse?

The issue as I see it is that Matou wants us to be a complete doormat and never stand up for ourself. That's pretty bad.

I have made no proposals for days. I have countered no ones proposals for days. I have only responded to people mentioning me by name.

How is talking about me in a post that I watch, 'standing up for yourselves'

What could Hoppo have done to Willie that's so bad, you feel the need to state intentionally malicious posts about a real person as a result?

I asked this before, but didn't get an answer.

How long do each of you intend to continue these posts about me?

Wait, when did we hurt Nagato? do you mean we attacked Nagato or when we offended her pet?
I think the worst thing we did was make Hoppo cry with a "No, You". Sure, we blew some stuff up during a PTSD flashback after Hoppo threw a toy plane at us, but I don't think we got Nagato when that happened.

And it looks like the winning vote is for Willie to go "... There a problem, Nagato?" which I wouldn't call attacking or a personal insult.

Passive aggressive, perhaps, but... that's about it, really.
So far at least.

Uhhh they were talking about Willie there.

Do you have a hard time differentiating between IC and OOC thought and action or something?

I was talking about landcollectors stating that I 'just want Willie to be a doormat', when I have made no proposals and have not challenged any proposals for days.

I don't believe either landcollector or myself are characters in a story, so I don't see how you get that that's IC vs. OOC behavior.

No difference between an insult and a torpedo volley?

You asked a relevant question, and I am sorry it took me so long to respond as other posts had my attention instead.

From a PR standpoint, no I don't see a difference, but I am not a PR person so I may very well be mistaken.

(Note: We should not do this. That'd be an ACTUAL PR nightmare, not the pretend one that Matou was worried would result from making a tiny secret Abyssal cry)

As my post was in reference to it being a PR nightmare to perform that action.

What I do know is that the Japanese media is owned by interests that have an agenda, and that involves applying pressure to get the American Military to leave Japan.

It involves the Japanese Nationalists, one of the items on their agenda is to get the US military to leave Japan.

They have gained much support in Japan, and can drum up demonstrators for any scandal involving Americans.

A lot of manga and light novels now portray them favorably. And portray their political rivals unfavorably.

I'm fairly sure the majority of the Japanese right is more keen on keeping the US military in Japan try and to sic them on China. The left wants the US military out on the grounds of imperialism.

Granted, the Abyssal war might have changed the situation but that would be making an assumption with no evidence.

Whoever it is that wants them out, the Newspapers and Television reporters are listening to and doing what they can.
