Does This Mean I Can't Watch TV Anymore? (Worm Quest)

--[X] Eddie Drood

Eddie's the way to go, we need something that gives us bullshit durability and you don't get much better then the golden torc. Not only does it make you indestructible but it also grants you enhanced senses, and since this is the one from later in the series it can also shape shift and hack computers.

From the wiki: 'The golden Drood-Torc it is a metal ring around the necks of all Droods. It grands the second sight, protection from every tracing-action (technical and magical) and protection against any mental attack. Furthermore it is the source of the legendary Droodarmour which gives the bearer enormous strength, speed and hyper sensitive senses. The armour slides out of the Torc and covers the body like a second skin, someone who wears it is almost indestructible, can make yourself invisible and much more'

It also grants enormous strength , speed and protects agaisnt mental attacks. I am having a hard time deciding on either this or journey of the west.

Only books guys.

Something that a teenage girl with bully issues is likely to have.

That is actually a bit iffy on the details, basically he is an animate stone statue and usually he wears a golden chain mail that was blessed by a dragon king god which probably gives quite a bit of durability. Also he once was imprisoned by having Buddha place a mountain on top of him, he survived for about 500 years before being released. And during Xuánzàng 's journey to he takes quite a few heavy hits without any real harm.

The no swimming bit only applies when he uses his no drowning/survive in deep waters spell.
I am just going to assume that high durability would be added unless stated otherwise.
Well her mom was a literature professor if I recall correctly, so it would be believable that she has some less mainstream pieces of literature.

He has a point and the book is a classic.

Oh God no. If we want Hermione we want Book 5-6 Hermione when she mellowed out a bit. Maybe Book 4 Harry while we're at it.

Anyway, we're apparently looking for durability powers right now, and Hermione, awesome as she is, can't reliably take small arms fire. :)

Actually, Harry Potter wizards are more durable than muggles, if they werent their national sport wouldn't be flying around in broom at hundreds if feet in the air, and Hogwarts would have more than one dead student every 50 years(without counting the last book)

Yes.

You guys are supposed to plan out the entire day. Not just choose which book you wanna pick.

I'm not super clear as to how your magic system works. Can you explain it to me?
Basically, different runes are laid out in a grid and connected by wires, with each rune having by default one input and one output. They're used to design what basically amounts to a magical circuit board.

Normally, a Runeboard has 3 major sections. First, the activation, which defines the conditions under which the device activates. Then there's the power supply, which of course provides energy for the rest of the device and regulates how much is used; it can be anything from a battery to sugar to Uranium as long as it's got a decent energy density.

Lastly, there's the effector, which defines what the device actually does. Generally, it does this by defining what aspect of reality it's messing with (examples: Electricity, time, light, gravity, matter, strong nuclear force), exactly how it's messing with it, and what area to do it in. There can be some overlap, especially since there are runes for all the standard logic gates, but generally the formula is more or less the same.
Also, it has to be a book. Remember, Taylor does not have a computer right now.
Fair enough. Does Taylor have any Terry Pratchett available? More particularly, Good Omens?

I've never heard of it. Is it a teen book of some sort?

Not exactly. More accurately it's a hilarious take on the religious idea of doomsday. It includes such things as the four horssmen riding motorcycles, and the antichrist getting put into the wrong family (thus growing up normal-ish.) It also includes an angel and a minor demon being bros with each other. Tropes page is here.

[X] Reading a book.

Too soon for a Tinker power especially one that sleep Tinkers. We want to keep a low profile for now.

Come on we want a decent flying brick package.

We will also eventually want Hestia from is it wrong to pick up a girl in a dungeon.
Being able to grant what is effectively the Gamer power will paint a massive target on our back but being able to make Danny feel he is able to protect his daughter again is worth it.

Super strength, massive agility, fighting skills, cloning, immune to fire, can summon wind and rain, can't drown (or swim for that matter), can identify evil ( very noticeable).

Also should we be writing out a plan for the entire day at this point or should we take actions one at a time while keeping track of time?

I wish to make two points on why we should NOT read that book. Remember Red Spy and how we gained the costume? Wouldn't the Monkey King make us into, you know, a monkey? And we don't currently have a shape-shifting power that can make up look like ourselves. Why not read a Superman comic instead?

A teenage girl with bullying issues and feelings of powerlessness would likely enjoy this book and might have it. If not she can borrow it from the library which shouldn't be an issue. On a related note if the character has a weakness which isn't mentioned in that book does she get it?

If its not mentioned in that specific book, then no.

I should point out his longevity was because Sun Wukong is a Daoist Immortal, and had his body refined when they were trying to turn him into an immortality elixir after he ate some many pills and peaches of immortality.

You 'do' realize the Monkey King 'has' shapeshifting, don't you?
