Okay, since @Estro got 4 success on the gambit, total raw combat succ is 4/2 + 3 succ on your combat roll means you get 5 succ total.

@Cat fluffs the gambit roll and gets blindsided socially but is monstrously good at fighting so barely wins out the parry roll with 1 succ at 6 succ.

Since cat won the parry roll, and is in close range it's your turn now. You can roll to attack, which in your case would probably just be brawling (fight + strength) or roll to restrain (strength + physique) at a bonus.

Also since you've actually started fighting I'm going to roll for cop after this action finishes.

restraint is mark of the just and noble crazy murder lady

I mean you'll be walking around with big holes in your leg so it's not advised.

You gain two points of health back, drop the kneecapped condition, and lose one point of hunger since you're Rinkaku. You are now <SLIGHTLY PECKISH>.

Alice is also still restraining you unless @Cat decides to let go.

Nah, it's an innate bonus at all times. The ablative health is the kagune out bonus. (The ablative health also refills everytime the kagune comes out so it's basically free health points)
*eats loads of shit*
*spams closing and opening kagune*
*realises this was probably Rize's tactic*

You eat a hunger point everytime you bring out your kagune, but if you level power, yeah it is probably more efficient to take the one hit for kagune extrusion since you get [Power] ablative health back rather than having to trade for health at a 1-2 ratio.

Though of course, it's always possible for you to gain the ability to regenerate at an even better ratio if you gain mutations during play. Motorcycle Knight has monstrously efficient regeneration due to mutations.

Rize would probably have the same mutation, then. And I'm at equal efficiency already.

I bet Rize has a muation to allow for a larger hunger pool, cause binge eater

If I ever bring Rize over, I'd probably give her the ability to store ablative hunger levels which only last for like a week or two, so in order to keep up her super regeneration she has to keep eating.

I've always wondered what made Shuu S-Class. He has like, no special tricks. Even Jason had tricks. Even Ayato. He just seems to be like, average yet s-class.

I thought I was meant to be the blood knight, whoa, horses, whoo.
She doesn't like fighting or killing.

She just views Lyra as something between a rabid dog that should be put down, and an insect.

So she's kind of disappointed the bullets went into Lyra's knee, not her skull.

New Waitlist Slots Open
Alright, so new announcement. Estro is dropping out (for now) due to exam stress, so we're taking on a new ghoul. Say hi to @Mortifer who is going to be playing Calypso Moody, and paired up with Unlucky.

I'll have your OP post up shortly Mortifer sit tight.

Since we just cleared up our ghoul waitlist slot, I've got an empty slot in the waitlist. If you want to submit an app or anything, apps are back open for the waistlist.

That is all.

>Mfw I realized I forgot to write up wealth rules in the rulebook

We'll run it on a refilling track, where your wealth levels scale exponentially to your wealth rating by a factor of ten, so 10 resource 1 purchases = 1 resource 2 purchase, and and out refills whenever you get paid

Case Files: Bonesmith
Case Files: Bonesmith

Organizations Involved: Detroit DoGS, Detroit PD, Unknown Ghouls, Codename: Bonesmith

Summary: Starting in June of last year, Detroit PD found several bodies which were later identified as ghouls. They were killed by intercine ghoul warfare, however, most curiously they were found with their kagune removed and used to forge Quinques. This has lead to a proliferation of ghoul made Quinque weapons, a situation that the DoGS finds unacceptable. "Bonesmith" is to be apprehended or terminated with extreme prejudice.

Victims:
June 3 - Ghoul Victim 1, a male ghoul in his early 20s, body badly mutilated beyond recognition, large chunks of flesh torn out of his lower back. Suspected to be a Rinkaku. Unable to be identified with any missing persons reports.

June 12 - Ghoul Victim 2, a female ghoul in her early 20s, face and upper body body mutilated heavily, only upper torso and legs recovered. Suspected to be a Bikaku. Context was established with Ghoul Victim 3 for identification. Likely Marissa Jennings, a ghoul who worked as a waitress at a small Chinese restaurant nearby. Investigation team failed to link her to any other ghouls. Employees of the restaurant were interviewed, none were able to point to any reason why Marissa was killed and case was declared cold.

June 12- Ghoul Victim 3, a male ghoul in his mid to late teens, head decapitated, kagune removed cleanly from spine. Identified from facial recognition, Bikaku type ghoul. Timothy Jennings, high school student, younger brother of Marissa Jennings. Had a good reputation at school, interviewed friends or teachers expressed shock that he was a ghoul. No suspected reason for death.

June 28- Ghoul Victim 4, a male ghoul in his late thirties, multiple puncture wounds and heavy mutilation of torso, however, head and face intact. In addition, he was recovered with phone intact. Ukaku removed messily from upper torso. Identification places him as Jonathan Strekelli, muscle for a small time gang. His gang associates were later arrested for collaboration for ghouls, drug dealing, and various murder charges.

At this point no further victims appear; it is likely that Bonesmith has either realized that his harvesting of ghouls is beginning to attract attention, or he has obtained a major backer that has realized it for him.

First Quinque Contacts:
March 3 - Investigator May and Whitfield sniffed out and hunt down ghoul designed DT19284. Cornered, ghoul DT19284 pulls out a homemade quinque and catches investigators by surprise. The quinques sheers off investigator May's left arm from shoulder down and breaks two ribs, and ghoul escapes while Whitfield was preoccupied with providing first aid support. The arm was unable to be recovered. Investigator May is currently undergoing physical therapy, and has been placed on medical reserve. He has volunteered for the INTREPID program, see INTREPID files for details.

Ghoul was identified as wearing expensive clothes and likely a wealthy individual, however, as he was wearing a mask, his cover identity was unable to be identified.

May 8 - Three ghouls attempt to ambush an enforcer team breaching the abandoned house they are squatting in. One pulls out a Quinque and manages to catch Enforcer Davidson by surprise, breaking three of her armor plates and cracking her rib, as well as giving her a line of abrasions from shoulder to hip. She retaliates by blowing the ghoul's brains in with a burst of Q-tipped flechette from her shotgun. The surviving one ghoul under interrogation that the weapon was acquired from a source named Bonesmith.

May 17 - One ghoul attempts a revenge killing on Enforcer Carson for the death of her older brother, ghoul DT19299. She ambushes him at home when he answers the door, attacking him with Quinque and Kagune. Enforcer Carson was able to hold her off for several moments until DoGS reinforcements arrived and subdued her. Interrogation of the ghoul later correlates the Bonesmith story.

Bonesmith Details:
1. Bonesmith has backers and is very wary about how he or she conducts dealings. The two testimonies of dealings with Bonesmith reveal that Bonesmith only does exchanges backed by bodyguards in places of Bonesmith's choosing.

2. Bonesmith appears to be a local- testimonies report Bonesmith having a Michigan accent.

3. Bonesmith's bodyguards appear to be non-Detroit natives, but arrangements for exchanges have been done through local merchants.

4. Bonesmith appears to have close contacts with the Italians, as both ghouls report they made arrangements for the purchase of their weapons from Italian associated sources.
