Significant purchases probably get tracked, no? Which leads me to look at the junkyard again and contemplate why it isn't picked apart on a daily basis...

ngl i wouldn't go into that junkyard it's pretty spooky

Given the general attitude to android related purchases it doesn't seem likely that anyone would give much of a shit if someone was buying a few packs of blue blood here and there. Jericho needed bags and bags of the stuff, but red ice only contains small amounts of thirium as I recall, so your average chemist probably doesn't need nearly as much.

Might depend on how much thirium is needed by volume. A line of thirium efficient models, a line of more prohibitive models for higher end work like Connor, etc...

Maybe there's some gas stations lying around with thirium pumps?

I'm sure the only real thought Cage put into the stuff with North was thinking himself a master of subverting stereotypes by having a female android be the violent one and a male android be the peaceful one.

Though some of the comments about the races of the actors only really shows how the one drop rule is still going strong in America.

Spooky junkyard. Humans have been graverobbing for millennia to get a range of stuff from actual treasures to chin oil (i.e. actual oil scraped from the chin of a freshly dead female corpse) that junkyard diving for android blood seems pretty mild in comparison. I really doubt humans aren't opportunistic enough to scavenge android parts for one reason or another.

Also, this actually puts into question of Zlatko's methods. He captures deviants and changes them into things, right? And he said 'deviants are hard to track' and shit, right?

So why he didn't just pick up damaged androids in the junkyard and make crazy science with them? There's no need to go so far as to bait stupid deviants into his EVUL lair and reprogrammed them. I'm pretty sure some of the androids dumped there are still functioning. In short, Zlatko's part is dumb and is there only to go 'huehuehueEVUL' on Kara.

Geez I've been criticizing this game like I have been criticizing the weekly soap opera I inevitably watch almost every day. I have never did this with any other game before. Good job Cage, I just compared your masterpiece with low quality soap opera. That's an achievement if I ever saw one.

Last night @Tomsawyer18 and I were musing that Detroit would be much improved if Connor were the sole viewpoint protagonist so that Kara and Markus' stories had an actual element of mystery to them. Why did this android housekeeper abduct a little girl? Who is this enigmatic figurehead the androids are rallying behind? What or who or where is Jericho?

That's nice, but how do I, David Cage, include a boar-fisted romance (which can only occur between a man and a woman) and a scary rape mansion if my only viewpoint characters are two male cops?

EDIT: As an aside, are there any LP's where they go full violent on the revolution side. I kind of want to see how that goes.

You could totally include the scary rape mansion though, just make it so Connor ends finding information about a human called Zlatko that's helping deviants, and then Connor and Hank go to his house to investigate.

By having no messages.

So has anyone found out if he snuck in an anatomically correct nude model somewhere yet?

Y'know to be completely honest I'm more mystified about the fact that there are a lot of Connor/Hank fanfics out there than anything else re: the game.

I didn't ever see it as that? Guys come on :/

*pat pat* There there.

Yeah, I honestly don't see it either, the closes I can see them is as father and son.

So why he didn't just pick up damaged androids in the junkyard and make crazy science with them?

His actual main business is on-selling perfectly functional androids to make money. He messes around with some of them, but like when he spills it to Kara he doesn't talk about his Frankenstein stuff, he talks about putting deviants back into the market. So he primarily wants functional androids.

And even if he didn't sell deviants on the second hand market, why on earth would he bother going to do salvage work when he just has deviants coming to his door ...? Like, it's not easier to go hunting through a garbage dump.

So during those conversations about human allies, I kept thinking. Doesn't hank fit the bill? Willing to learn more, helps but ultimately steps back to let them chose their fate, speaks up against intolerance when he sees it.

I may be reaching, but its just something bouncing in my head. Feel free to call me stupid for it

Maybe CyberLife is fronting the red ice trade?

I haven't been waiting for literally weeks to post this. You can't prove anything. Nope nope nope.
