CYOA is a Chalice of Regrets: A Worm SI Quest

Word of insider: this is the day before the first scene of the story. We have two years until Behemoth died in canon.
Not according to this timeline.
You have chosen the Gestation setting. Your game will begin on April 08, 2011, and will remain strapped to canon's rails until you inevitably wreck them, on purpose or otherwise.
Again, in this story, it is April 8th, 2011. Behemoth dies on July 26th, 2011 in canon according to this timeline, so can you please explain where you got the two year idea? If the timeline is wrong, I would like to know now rather than later.

Long story short: Behemoth is supposed to die two years from now, whenever that might be, and tomorrow Taylor is supposed to be trapped in a bathroom stall and stuff dumped onto her.

Of course these "supposed to's" were before a New Endbringer showed up.

Huh. How is that even possible?

Leviathan was in Mid-May, that puts only two months between EB attacks and it's in the same week as Taylor murdering Alexandria. Simurgh was in February so that's already 3 EB attacks in a single year before the midpoint.

I suppose my opinion on this matter is that Wildbow's sense of pacing is fucked.

Also.
(Why are you using brackets all of a sudden?)

(Are those voting brackets? Those had better not be voting brackets.)
(Oh my god those are voting brackets. NO.)

I can't quite put my finger on what it reminds me of until someone posts a picture of Mismagius, Pokemon #429 in the most up to date 'dex. I always wanted to raise one of those. I'm not sure if this counts as getting to, though the
Reminder that we are not UnwelcomeStormbringer.

I repeat, we are not playing as an Endbringer, we're just interacting with one.

Cue the derail regarding morality of making/encouraging a fictional character commit mass murder for group amusement of the readers. Because meta. :V

Yes.

But also, Wildbow does appear to have written a possible in-universe out (I can't remember specifics, but I think it's around Scarab 25.4) which mentions that the Endbringers change attack schedules, and that Behemoths's death had them hoping that the schedule had reset (to every four or five months?).

Proper Edit: Found it, so that's one way of excusing it.

"With the Chicago Wards," I said, in a vain hope to turn the conversation away from me.

She took my cue. "New costumes, a new group. Behemoth is defeated and it looks like the Endbringers might have reverted to the schedule they had pre-2002. An attack every four to five months."

"Yes," Tecton said. "Everything's new. There're a lot of changes going on."
And literally five minutes later Khonsu.

It's possible Leviathan was late, and Behemoth was early. Had he survived, the next attack might not have been till September or October.

The Simurgh slips in another attack later that year and then there's six Endbringer attacks the next, apparently. There's a timeline I was referencing for a fic idea that may eventually happen...

But anyways, yeah. Hilarious number of attacks...

The singing Tesla coil, sometimes called a zeusaphone, thoramin or musical lightning, is a form of plasma speaker. It is a variation of a solid state Tesla coil that has been modified to produce musical tones by modulating its spark output. The resulting pitch is a low fidelity square wave like sound reminiscent of an analog synthesizer. The high-frequency signal acts in effect as a carrier wave; its frequency is significantly above human-audible sound frequencies, so that digital modulation can reproduce a recognizable pitch. The musical tone results directly from the passage of the spark through the air. The flexibility of the sound is limited by the fact that the solid-state coil produces square rather than sinusoidal waves; but simple chords are possible.
...Hey, can our Endbringer learn how play music using lightning?

Even then it's likely that the Fallen would be the only one's to even bother.
...I mean, minions that we don't care about killing with Destructive Impulse? Win-win, right? :p . (Also, got to feed US :p - see below).

Who cares about ethics - it's what the author wants, and isn't that the most important thing? :V
Because I am nourished by your tears.

I don't have any update schedule or feedback, really. I write when and how I want to, basically, so I tend to move in cycles of updating one fic a lot, then moving on to something else for a bit, then eventually cycling back. I'm sure it's frustrating to wait on updates, and I'm sorry, but when I try to force myself to continue a work I quickly stall out and end up doing nothing.

[X] Hover above the direct centre of the city, destroying things with lightning and generally causing panic.
-[X] Kill a few parahumans and destroy property, but don't go too far - Job enough that they have hope of victory.
-[X] Whilst this occurs, form a cloud of condensed power above your head.
--[X] As time drags on, have the giant circular cloud expand, growing ever more powerful the larger it gets.
---[X] Once the cloud is large enough to annihilate the city, drop it on everyone's head.
----[X] Now that everyone vulnerable to your attack is dead, leave the ruined city and orbit the earth, at the height of most cloud cover.
