Crimson Beauty of The Crescent Moon (Fate/Grand Order)

[X] [HINAKO] Elemental's Command. This gives her the best capability to shift the plans, should something go awry. Who knows, she might still remember the nuggets of war knowledge that her beloved. Incompatible with "King's Command" vote.
[X] [DAVID] The Lone Shephard. Risky, to be sure. But Resonance of this level, against a foe like Herakles, either works or not. Incompatible with "A Game of Dodge-And-Seek" vote.
[X] [BILLY] Duel at the Burning City. One on one, a gunslinger against an Archer. Whether it works or not, the bows of the latter would be silenced, for a good long while.
[X] [MEDEA] The Spell-Slinging Mage. Up close and with the sacrifice of the power provided by her Temple, Medea would be able to react better to the ever chaotic nature of a battlefield. Under the close protection of at least one shield-bearing Servant and with her expertise, she would be capable of much, simply put.

I just looked at the Servant Dossiers and David has 3 NP's... does this mean he actually has the Ark and the amazing rain of divine annihilating fire thing from the mats? If so that's awesome, in all senses of the word. The lack of description for the NP and skills are intentional, I guess, seeing as they're still 'Basic'.

Yes, David has 'access' to all of them, but needless to say, the current situation made it less than practical to use any but Hamesh Avanim.

The other part why the Dossiers is basic is because I need to actually get some things sorted out for the untranslated Mats, Billy's in particular. I essentially would have to make them full cloth and doing such would mean, well, delaying the updates even further. After this Singularity, things will be more fleshed out. For now, rely on the fact that you lads know what the Stats mean, roughly speaking.

Right, vote is closed. This combination is....well, interesting.

No promises on how long it will take to post the next stretch of update, other than the fact that it's probably going to take me more than three days to nail the scenes correctly.

@Vocalend did you see Yu's Valentine scene? It's pretty interesting.
One of which is the capability to observe everything that happens inside or around the Church with clarity. An utility that proved useful as she watches, with considerable attention, towards the verbal confrontation between her Master and the Shielder.
I should have known Medea would be into voyeurism! :V
"You... That's all you wish for?" The Shielder's hands tensed, as if struggling between tightening into fists or not. "Joining an organization dedicated to protecting human history, being picked to be a member of the A-Team... And yet all you wanted is to be a hermit?"
Ahhhh, Mashu is so naive, isn't she?
The revolver, holstered tight to his belt.

"Howdy partner. Are you my Master?"
You know, this still sense in a way. Billy the Kid was judged mostly by the label of "outlaw" society gave him. He was an outlaw, but many people probably some him as a person with no morals when that isn't quite true. Being an outlaw was not Billy's sole character feature, just as being mechanically similar to a vampire is not Yu Miaoyi's sole defining trait.

I'm still hoping to see Tomoe, Suzuka, and Tamamo be summoned at some point.
Medea nodded. "Yes, the most pressing of foes would be....my distant uncle."
Heracles is Medea's (distant) uncle!?
Hinako notices the gears in the Doctor's head turning. "Wait, so you...." He trailed his words as he faces the Archer beside him, who nodded simply.

"A lone shepherd, fighting against a giant of a man that towers all others." The King said simply before he looks at the Caster. "Yes. Would it work?"
If only he had that in the game... They could probably make it increased damage against a foe that surpasses a certain height.
Privately, Medea opened a telephatic connection to Hinako, 'Keeping me close would help a lot to mask your unnatural strength, Master. Take that into consideration, if you will.'
It's nice that Medea isn't prying about Hinako's identity. Would've been nice if Medea made a conscious decision to not judge Hinako based on her assumptions, as
"Heee, Master, what are you hiding from us?" Billy pondered. "Are you actually a master strategist or somethin'?"
Hinako might need to have that conversation with Medea and Billy sooner rather than later. He knows she's hiding something at the very least. It'd probably be good for her as well.

...We really ought to have left Medea at the temple with that combination, in case Billy or David need support or extraction. Hope things go reasonably well regardless.

As Medea said, it's more of a values dissonance. Naivety is part of it, but not all.
Heracles is Medea's (distant) uncle!?
Tangled family trees and all that jazz. Exacerbates by the utter horndog that is Zeus, Herakles is several steps removed as an uncle to her.
If only he had that in the game... They could probably make it increased damage against a foe that surpasses a certain height.
The whole idea of Resonance is something that intrigues me. It's not going to work perfectly all the time, mind you. But considering how a lot of Heroic Spirit deaths ended up striking really close to their worldly demise the first time, I thought codifying them here would be better.

It will be a rough deal regardless.

I have calculated how this combo went, matching it up with the Blackened Servants combo of movements. Let's just say that neither plan survives contact with the battlefield (and the opposing plan).

Chapter 1: The First Move
Eventually, a plan was decided upon. It didn't take much for the arguments formed in the prior discussion to be relitigated... and for Hinako to decide what exactly needs to be done. David accepted the task of taking out Herakles, recusing himself to pray solemnly in a secluded cloister by himself. Hinako's own Archer set himself up, preparing to the task of taking out the enigmatic sharpshooter from up close. Medea slightly objected to the idea of being up close, but that was partly a cover. She did say to the Elemental that she is planning to help conceal her inhumane-ness by staying up close.

By that, and the twin swords currently being sheathed and set on top of the Director's casket.

Oh certainly, Medea had said that she would be unable to craft any Mystic Codes should her effort be directed in the curing of Olga Marie. But even with the barest minimum effort, she could upgrade it so that Hinako would have weapons that would be barely able to meet a Servant's attack and not be destroyed so easily.

Now, the Caster is beside Ritsuka, asking her what sort of personal tool of defence the girl would prefer.

"...A magical shotgun." She decided eventually. "I don't know how to aim and if, well, something somehow managed to get past Mashu, it would be better if I...don't miss, right?"

A sound reasoning. Of course, it needn't be said that if the scenario were to occur, it may be too late for Ritsuka's own survival. As expected, no one felt the need to bring something so obvious up, but the unspoken thought is enough.

A simple single barrelled artifice is made mere seconds as everyone felt the tingle in the air. The sensation of danger carving its way through their path.

And in a far yet uncomfortably close distance, a shockwave that rattled the foundation of the church resounded.

The King blinked behind her visor. Something had matched the power of her blade. No. That's not quite right, she thought simply as the black blade in her hand flared with power unending and uncontrollable.

Something had dispersed the power of her blade.

Of course, the Caster. Her tricks are unending.

But no matter how many trick the Witch can pull, the King can force through it

The Black Sword of Ultimate Light swung once more. The beam of darkness following suit.

And again. And again.

The Shepherd looks at Medea. "So, while I have faith on your ancient magicks, I would have to assume that this particular shield of yours wouldn't last long against Excalibur, wouldn't it?"

"It would... had I not planned to move with the rest of you all." Medea's face is strained with some amount of concentration. She had placed magical circlets all along the perimeters of the Church, all facing the Ryuudoji Temple and cave entrance to the Greater Grail, in the event that a long range magical bombardment were to occur.

Of course, even she could not hold the power of Excalibur, despite her assurances. Even if it's the dark mirror of the holy sword, it's still the Excalibur.

"Right then, Miss Hinako. Your orders?" David nodded at the de facto commander of the battle. Both of them know that if need be, David would be there to defend against potential follies and stumbles so common in the chaotic scrum of the melee.

For the most part, however, he would be occupied by the corrupted warrior that is Herakles. O' Father above, please give your Servant the strength and power to face this trial.

"We move."

With that simple preamble and with practiced ease that David simply note to be the hallmark of experience, she drew one of the two blades held in the scabbard, affixed on her waist, outward. In front, Mashu readies herself to charge forward. Behind, the King himself. Grinning beside the Israelite is the younger gunman, whose grip on the revolver tightened. Further behind, the coffin that held the comatose Director with his unsure Master and the Caster standing atop of it.

On some level, he would have found it slightly disrespectful. But in the face of the crisis they are to meet head on, such facts are trivial by comparison.

From here on, the fight starts in earnest.

Battle for Fuyuki Greater Grail starts.

Medea is in the best position to monitor 'main objective' and i really want to see 'David vs Goliath' scene reproduction up close.

[X] Olga Marie

You put that option in and don't expect someone to vote for it?

Right, vote is closed. Medea wins with more than half the second most-voted choice. Normally, I would close it a bit more later but the muse is dragging me because the dices were utterly bonkers.

So update is on the way but I have a question of sorts. Does anyone want to visibly see the roll results and bring them to the foreground or keep them in the background?
