Covered In Blood And Surrounded By Spirits (Hellsing CK2 Organization Quest)

Is nobody here noticing the "burned the manor down" part of that last-line fuckstorm!?

All those civilians we rescued thus far? Dead. Given the description of how our kill score thus far is just scraping the surface of the Last Battalion's numbers, that pretty much renders this entire update pointless, and we can't even blame the dice for it.

As for Millennium apparently developing the tech to harvest a god's powers on a lark, I'm going to be very generous and assume this was their Plan B for Alucard, which somehow turned out to apply to a completely unrelated deity from the other side of the planet. Them being able to stomp our HQ into ashes through the power of offscreen magic is still bullshit, though.

Just... goddammit.

GodFUCKINGdammit.

[X] "Hey Anderson, how would you like to kill a heathen god and coincidentally help save dozens of innocents?"

Oh, you can blame the dice. I done did secret rolls. Next update will actually be an interlude of the Manor battle, so you'll see how that goes. Also, to be clear, when I say timestopped I mean time locked. Like, if you shot them the bullet would ricochet, probably.

Anyway, I'll accept the write in plan. But if it fails, then it automatically goes to fighting Anderson and going around, although if the diplomacy margin is close enough, I'll allow you all to go your separate ways.

Also, the bone mecha is in Akuma's group. She's dragging it around with her cause it's a giant fucking skull covered in magic scribbles. Since it's obviously very attention grabbing, they have yet to deploy it.

Tech? I figured they just drank his blood. Hellsing vampires canonically consume souls and Alucard has been shown to harvest the abilities of the people he eats. The fact they were able to do that isn't weird, but the fact Kagatsuchi is still alive afterwards is.

I suspect that it is harder to totally eat the soul of a god then it is to consume a mortal
the fact that Kagatsuchi is alive in the first place proves just how hard to kill he is

Problem: Millennium's usual product are basically Korean knockoffs of actual vampires, and I wouldn't expect an actual, proper, for-reals vampire to be able to drink up essence of fire god without being incinerated from within. Point of fact, the only vampire in the entire series who seemed to derive any benefit from drinking peoples' blood was Alucard himself; not even "special" models like Alhambra and Blitz demonstrated any ability to summon the souls of their victims or wield their powers.

If the Millennium freaks can just casually walk around ganking superpowers from any supernatural critter they sink their teeth into, then we should withdraw from the city and advocate the immediate deployment of nuclear weaponry, because a horde of Nazi vampires who can freely mix-and-match from all of the supernatural powers ever is too great a threat to allow even the possibility of its existence. If even one of them chows down on a fae, or a witch, or pretty much any significant supernatural creature, that could become the starting point of the end of life as we know it.

Hell, if you're right, then we're currently dealing with a God Vampire that wields the power of volcanoes and wildfire, so we're all going to die regardless. Hence why I'm arguing that you must be wrong, because otherwise the quest is already over no matter what we try to do.

I don't think the mooks can do it, but millennium really loves getting there mad scientist on. They probably have a few custom made monsters for taking advantage of powerful beings at low ebs of there power. I mean we've seen a bunch of minor divinities forced into service already, they've probably been putting a lot of effort into exploring god's recently.

If memory serves, Alucard and his progeny are the only vampires with the 'summon the souls of your victims as familiars' power, at least for the purposes of this quest's WoG.

[X] Kill two birds with one stone.

I'm fairly certain there does not exist a version of Anderson that would pass up a chance to kill a pagan god. We would have to roll a 1 for him to pass that up, the only thing better for someone like him would be to kill the devil himself.

Nah.

Best would be if it turned out that the Devil was ALSO an Nazi vampire.

And caught up. This quest is glorious.

Though right now, it's a bit of a shaky situation. So apparently, Millenium went shopping in India, and now we have a firegod vampire on the loose? Not good.

[X] Kill two birds with one stone.

Worth trying. I'm kind of curious, could this lead to an Anderson/Akuma team-up?

You're not wrong, but he might decide "first I kill the heathen demon in front of me, then the pagan god. I love my job."
