"I'm standing inside the control bridge, looking over the horizon as tens of thousands of souls fleeting away confused and disheartened, tears of orphan multiplied by the thousands flowing rivers. But above them all, there's nothing except victory"
- Lord Admiral poaw, Custer of the High Seas
"The fighters' bunker busters are having no effect. I am ordering the cruisers to launch Tomahawks at targets in southern Syria but the missiles are crossing Israeli airspace. And as I glance to the left and see a Russian submarine surfacing 500 meters off the bow, someone hands me a cheese sandwich."
Making a very large scenario in Command is time-consuming and can be difficult. One of poaw's latest and largest scenarios was several database updates behind, and I can see why. Most of my scenarios are small, in part because I can barely play larger ones. I've done some Command scenarios, and can elaborate on them if anyone wants to know more.

It turns out the civilian ship didn't sink after all. Israel was in fact shooting at me, the advanced Russian SAMs are added to the Syrian side so they don't show up there.
Narratively speaking, I'm in jail dude. Looking back at the briefing I ignored just about every advisement, warning and direct order contained within, my command would have come under serious scrutiny after the accidental attack with the ALARMs on Russian ships (positive ID on targets is for nerds), the Exocet would have sealed my relief and ended my career in disgrace. Violating Israeli airspace means I can't go into politics after I "retire". At this point I've having trouble remembering everything I did.....
Oh yeah the deliberate attacks on the Russians for "self-defense" reasons would get me relieved effective immediately and confined to my stateroom until I could be transferred off the ship. Do not pass go. Do not collect fucking anything. I went so off the rails I'm pretty sure they'd transfer me to Bahrain under cover of darkness and hold me in a windowless room until a flight chartered by a small company from a small suburb near Langley Virgina picked me up and flew me to Yemen so that Barack Obama could kill me with a drone, throw my body in the ocean like Megatron and disavow all knowledge.
Besides that my exchange ratio was pretty insane in A2A. 85:0, they were just completely outclassed by Rafales/Typhoons and even the Hornets they pounced with MiG-29s. Most of the kills were BVR, but 12 - 15 were WVR kills. They used about 400 SAMs against aircraft, that mostly did nothing and another 700 or so shooting down PGMs.
I think the biggest strike package I rolled it was about 24 - 30 including tankers and other support craft and only needed to do it twice to completely break their Air Force and IADS.

Man if you thought people didn't like the US before. Even assuming this didn't trigger a larger war the US's reputation would be in shambles like, forever.
