EDIT: Income should now be 1,550 RE per turn.

And I believe Russia will be attacking this turn?

You didn't see anything. *fixes slots

thanks as always for that chim, front will be updated and budget added to the turn when I have the time(curse you education system!!)

and yes yes the juggernaut will begin there march this update.

Do we still have those two Ottoman Royal Walker groups?

And we know the Russians are gonna hit Bulgaria, then try to take out the Ottoman Empire. What forces does Bulgaria have defending its border? And how's their fortification level?

yes yes you do still have overly spoiled brats to command. good luck.

Bulgarians Russian front is rather well defended, and has extra guns and patrolling troops given by you making it very well defended. in truth there main defensive has a better chance of surviving a mass attack then yours does. very heavily fortified wit plenty of big guns and bigger mechs.

February, 1915 Orders:
1,550 RE

General actions:

[X] Espionage Actions: 300 RE

-To assist the soon-to-occur uprising in Poland, we will smuggle in the former soldiers from that country that have defected following their surrender, as well as smuggling all the weapons an uprising could possibly need, including large amounts of anti-beastie weapons, military advisors, and the munitions. 200 RE Dedicated.
--Attempt to gather information on the Russian attack force. Specifically, their supply lines, numbers, tactics, etc. This information will allow our Operation Bloody Valentine to be successful. Ensure we coordinate with our allies on this. 100 RE Dedicated
-Send spies to Greece to investigate in the chaos. See the state of the Greek army and Navy, what their plans are, and any more information on that secret Beastie.
-The British won't take us sealing off Russia's supply lines with the Ottomans lightly. Can our spies in Egypt bring us any information on the British forces there and their future plans?

[X] Diplomacy Actions:
-The Germans said to give them a month and they'd have something to counter those Russian burrowers. Let's see what they have.
--Do the Ottomans have any other annoying nobles and such they want to get remove- I mean, earn glory fighting the Russians on the front lines in Bulgaria? Just let us know.:D
--- Give every scrap of knowledge we have on these new Russian Beasties to our allies, as well as any info we have on the Russian movements gained from espionage. Make sure all our espionage efforts are coordinated.

[X] Military Actions: 300 RE
Bulgarian/Russian Front:
Forces Dedicated:

-25 Infantry Divisions (500,000 Men)
-6 Scout Mech Divisions (700 Windrunners)
-3 Cyklops Divisions (200 Stormrunners)
-1 Land Dreadnought Group (5 Riese Land Dreadnoughts)
-1 Attack Gyro Air Wing (100 Attack Gyros)
-4 Storm Bringer Divisions (100 Storm Bringers)
-1 Ironsides Division (50 Ironsides)
-1 Crow Zepplin Air Wing (3 Crow Zepplins)
-3 Ottoman Royal Mech Divisions (150 Royal Mechs)
-As many Serbian Beasties as possible.

--Fortify the Hell out of Bulgaria's border with Russia, and to a lesser extent ours. Make those new Tesla Towers, more artillery guns, bring up those Coastal Howitzers and 88 mm guns from Serbia, barbed wire, Beastie Traps, autocannons, machine gun nests, mines, whatever anti-burrower thing the Germans cooked up, everything we can do to ensure that the line is held. Place range-finders around the area so our artillery is more accurate. Get as many Beasties there as possible, from Deathsheads to Lionlestals to Hounds, maybe even a couple of those Harpy Airbeasts if there's time. Overlapping fields of fire and defence in depth. Wherever the Russians go, they're in range of a gun, and if they break through one defensive line, congratulations, there's another one behind it just as strong, then one after that, and so on. Cross-train with the Bulgarian forces to make sure we work together properly. Bulgaria will be the wall upon which the Russians break. 300 RE Dedicated.
--When the Russians come, hold the line and keep them occupied for Operation: Bloody Valentine.
---If Russians attack Austria-Hungary, this force shall commence Operation Bloody Valentine.

Operation Bloody Valentine/ Austria/Russia Front.:
-While the Russians are occupied with the Bulgarians in front of them, our forces at the Austria-Hungary/Russia border will flank them, cutting off their lines of supply and retreat before hitting them in the rear. They'll be surrounded and either forced to surrender or starve under artillery fire.
- If Russia attacks Austria-Hungary, dig in with the fortifications, and Bloody Valentine will be taken over by our forces in Bulgaria, possibly with the aid of Bulgarian reinforcements.
Forces Dedicated:
-20 Infantry Divisions
-8 Scout Mech Divisions
-6 Cyklops Divisions
-5 Ladegerat Divisions
-2 Land Dreadnought Groups
-2 Attack Gyro Air Wings
-2 Storm Bringer Divisions
-1 Ironsides Division
-1 Crow Zepplin Air Wing
-2 Ottoman Royal Mech Divisions

Serbian Occupation:
-4 Infantry Divisions
Applaud the behaviour of our occupying forces and put their behaviour last month as a model to be followed.

Greek Front:
-All remaining forces
-Lots of Serbian Beasties from the Southernmost Beastie Farm.

Dig in at the border and hold the line. There shouldn't be any Greek attacks with the previous assault, but if there are, the Beasties can act as meat shields while our other forces gun the Greeks down.

Production:
700 RE
-Finish Land Dreadnought Group
-2 Storm Bringer Divisions (300 RE)
-1 Cyklops Division (100 RE)
-1 Crow Zepplin Air Wing (200 RE)
-3 Scout Mech Divisions (75 RE)
-5 Infantry Divisions (25 RE)

Research: 250 RE

[X] The Destroyer ship. All our current ships are good, but none are truly dedicated to taking out the submersible and airborne threats that the Darwinists so love to use. This is a problem, as that new Greek naval Beast has shown. The Destroyer is the counter to that. They are armed with multiple anti-air autocannons, Kraken-fighting Arms, and a mass of depth charges, as well as the best targeting systems Austria-Hungary has. They will also be fast, and thus capable of responding to threats wherever they might occur. While this means they are lightly armoured and weak in surface-to-surface engagements, they will still provide a vital anti-submersible and anti-air role in the navy, and less armour means less expensive ships. 100 RE
[X] Many nobles claim that walkers are the only true way to fight. Many nobles claim that using tracks is beneath us, since they are meant for use on farming, and this is war. Many nobles are also posh, brain-deprived fools. Let them whine about how "shameful" and "unmanly" tracked vehicles and weapons are. Logic states that a tracked vehicle is not only simpler to maintain, but also as a more stable firing platform, can be fitted with bigger guns and more armour for less or the same cost! The Panzerkampfwagen I should have a large-sized cannon in a rotating turret, as well as an antipersonnel machinegun and anti-beastie flamethrower. We are serious and unamused at previous failure. 100 RE
[X] Research an autogyro launch system that can be employed from airfields rather than just from ships and land dreadnoughts. 50 RE

Am willing to hear alternate proposals for research or troop deployment. Or whether Bloody Valentine is feasible or not. I'd think it would be with the Russian's supply lines being a mess.

The quality of optical lenses played a significant role in establishing maximum effective range for sighting objects on the horizon and for firing naval guns at them. Germany, Switzerland, and Austria-Hungary happened to produce the finest optical lenses in the world at the time.

Anyway my concern with Bloody Valentine is that it assumes the Russians will, by and large, throw themselves onto the Bulgarian defenses. We have some indication they will, but if they do something different, like say advance out of their rump of Poland into Galicia with an aim of reaching the Carpathians, we might be in trouble. Or they might invade Eastern Prussia because driving on to Berlin is the fastest way to win the war.

Or, likely, do all three because we don't know the size of the Russian Army but what they were willing to send to Serbia is not encouraging for Austria-Hungary. Also we have to look out for Greece, and right now I'm really regretting not pushing far harder to knock them out of the war last turn.

I believe we got their specific battle-plans stating they were gonna go through Bulgaria to attack the Ottoman Empire from the land.

I might want to look through that, but it's bedtime now.

Dropping this here.

Amphibious battle ships. Just something to think about.

Amphibious battle ships. Just something to think about.
Already had something like them considered. Wonder if we could make our Land Dreadnought amphibious. Would give us a great way to storm enemy beaches.

Speaking of that, anyone else got any research ideas? Like, I've got aeroplanes next on the list, and possibly improving the armour of our Land Dreadnought. Also, there was a proposal for a Spider Silk Beastie, any other ideas?

Walking repair yards to maintain our walkers on the frontlines away from homeland landship-docks. Possibly even recycle Darwinist materials into munitions and supplies for our machines.

We need to spend as much R&D into logistics as we do into warmachines.

Silk would be immensely helpful. Terror Drones would be interesting.

New ideas, though? Ummm... Weapons and power armor that can be grown, instead of manufactured? If we haven't already, bacteria to synthesize a variety of chemicals for industry? "Prefabbed" buildings that are grown overnight? Scourge (kamikaze acid exploders)?

Here's an idea. Recently it was discovered that modern fishing line could be twisted into a spring like shape by nailing one piece to the floor and attaching the other end to a home power drill and heating it with a hair drier as it spun. The result is a coiled tension spring that resumes its coiled state after being stretched.
It behaves near identically to muscles, albeit 100 time stronger.
This has breakthrough put basic artificial muscles within reach of the next 5-10 years.

Maybe have a little more fluidity with Valentine, like if the Russians hit somewhere other than Bulgaria.
I remember captured plans saying that'd be where they hit, as they want to punch through Bulgaria to the Ottoman Empire, but if they engage somewhere else, forces not attacked can move in and do the Valentine themselves.

So, yes, they do?

Well, if they attack Austria-Hungary, maybe our Bulgarian forces can swing around and do the Valentine. Original forces are stationed at the fortifications there.

Should probably make that clearer in the actual plan, but it's late here.
But if our luck's bipolar, that means we also probably got some good rolls to go with bad ones.
