Indeed everything is going towards her master plan of overthrowing her mother and becoming head goddess
As she bloody well should, Arthryd just unilateally overruled the will of the majority amongst goddesses like a despot!

Clearly our chief Goddess can no longer be trusted with power if she's willing to abuse it to go against the will of both Godesses and Man like this!

I mean, we don't. We've definitely chosen actions that decreased stability before. I just don't think that sacrifice is a good one. Much prefer to just Main settlements. Then do some exploration of those mountains, they might have some new ores. Ignore the goddesses completely, and when their wrath comes down on the heads of the Monarchy, boom. Change.
Hard actions are needed to combat this monarchist crisis. Simply ignoring it won't change a thing and will only make the eventual cost that much higher. No, we must draw the line right here and no further!

Yet they supported one ruler against majority of the people for their own use.

Arthryn is goddess of the people and she won't give in to her daughters twisted desires.

Except doing the temple, and especially doubling down on it will just make the people hate the goddesses, not the monarchs.

It's the monarch who'll force them to work on the Temple, not the gods. Their hate will be concentrated on the figure close by telling them to work harder and eat less, not on the distant symbols off all-good.

Agree sometimes we need to take harsher actions in order to bring people on right path, doing things this good way will only strengthen current system, look at last example we kept elective monarchy and guided it successfully only for it to become hereditary monarchy.

The goddesses never asked for a Temple. Clearly the King has just let the power get to her head.
Except all the people want the temple, in order to appease Arthryn, if we make the temple at the expense of the people, the people are going to be pissed off at her, as they starve and die to appease her.
Monarch is the one who is appeasing the goddesses because him being on power is the reason why Arthryn is angry in first place so instead of ruling the people he should just step down .
Except every faction wants it done. Not just the monarch who is currently stone.

Monarch has children you know and they are inheriting the kingdom as they are better than others, and as time pass those children will branch out because every son or daughter of ruling family are better rulers they will ultimately get better positions creating a ruling class of branch families.

You can try to stop it but how will you when divine blood gives them right to lead, so in conclusion divine punishment is only matter of time.

Obviously, it is a bad idea to build the temple. To show Arthryn support after this, after she brutally murdered a beloved leader and left her corpse on display for all eternity, would be the height of folly and just enable her to do the same thing later on. I know some of you looked down upon Bwonwyn for her political opinions, but in the future it might very well be your golden child who suddenly turns into a literal Golden Child.

No, I sincerely cannot support building the Temple at this moment in time.

Except the famine won't be caused by the Temple, but by the monarch insisting on putting everything towards completing the Temple instead of working to make sure enough food is produced for everyone while they build the Temple.

Tell me, if people starve and in the mid-turn ask the monarch for a More Farming/Fishing/Hunting action, what do you think their reaction will be when the monarch instead tells them to keep working on the Temple? They'll hate the monarch who refuses to allow them to get sufficient food.

Its only for a few seasons before she'll no longer be a statue.

I mean... The temple will potentially be finished by then.

Anyway, this turn is weird. You have a theocratic monarchy explicitly being rejected and punished by it's God, and we don't suffer any stability of legitimacy loss?

Double think. Lots of double think.

Do we need to finish the temple or we need to start building it?

Finish it.

Hmm @Oshha in what context is this Temple being built?
Is it to place more importance on the Goddesses as we did in times before the Cadion?

Is it to appease the anger of Arthryn?
Is it to give the Priests a greater role and allow for more communion with the Goddesses?
I feel like the context is really important for this.

I'm planning to put that as the mid-turn vote if you start this main turn.

Not just the monarch who is currently stone.

Bronwyn is no longer the Cadlon, her son is. Bronwyn is basically dead at this point.
