Arc 1: Chapter 26
You glared at Asuma, staring into his eyes as you released your killing intent, such a burst that even a veteran like Asuma was blindsided, looking wide eyed and panicked before regaining his composure. "Hinata."

+1 Monster

"I apologize for my student." Orochimaru said, cold rage and malice creeping into his voice as he gazed daggers into you. "The loss of her team has been rough, but such actions are unbecoming to our gracious hosts, isn't it Hinata?"

You refused to answer but thankfully Asuma cut in, "It's fine. Ninja life can be rough, to say the least. Just...be careful, alright? Anyway, that's everyone here, right? We can get going now."

You could tell Asuma was a bit more perturbed than what he let on, but you honestly didn't care. He took the lead in guiding everyone to the Leaf Village, with Kurenai next to him. They were whispering to each other, more than likely talking about your actions. You could feel an aura of hatred from Orochimaru, purely focused on you for almost ruining his plans by getting caught, but compared to your hatred, he was merely a drop of water to your endless ocean.

The rest of the trip went smoothly, no one daring to talk to you at all. Finally you reached the massive entrance gate to the Leaf. Memories flooded into your mind of how you escaped. The cold night air, pretending to be a lost small girl to fool the gullible guard at the entrance, running as far and fast as your vessel's feeble body could...

It was strangely nostalgic and you felt almost giddy! The next time you walk out of his village, it'll be nothing but ashes. By the time you snapped out of your thoughts, you realized you were in the middle of the Leaf Village. People were buzzing about like insects, chattering about the Chunin Exams and other meaningless things. According to Asuma, the finals to the exams will start within a few hours. You will have your own hotel room to wait in, and you'll be collected by Leaf shinobi when the time is right.

Eventually you were led to said hotel, a large and lavish building that was clearly chosen in order to butter up the guests. You entered the lobby, a wide and fancy looking place with a polished marble floor. It seems like everyone already had rooms rented out in advance and you were led to your room. Opening the door, you went in and saw a spacious room with a very fancy and comfortable looking bed.

Before you could even sit down, your door slammed open. With your Byakugan, you saw it was Orochimaru and turned around, staring the sannin right in the eye. Orochimaru's rage was palpable as he began speaking quietly, yet very clearly. "Listen you beast, you risked the mission and your vengeance with that outburst!"

"I do not care for your mission, you of all people should know that." you calmly replied. Usually you would roar right back, but you were so close to your vengeance...it was the calm before the storm, you figured.

"I've been planning this for years, to finally crush the Leaf, I won't let you ruin things right at the finish line." Orochimaru hissed. "You will stay in your room until the time comes. Then you will be a good little beast and wait for the signal, then you may go wild. But not even a second of disobedience before then. Your leash is taut now, no more slack."

You stared at Orochimaru for a long moment before simply saying, "I will not be denied."

Orochimaru said nothing and left the room, slamming it shut. While your first instinct was to leave the hotel room and start the chaos early, your rational thought spoke up and told you that waiting for Orochimaru's signal would be better than putting the entire village's attention on you.

What will you do?

[] Fuck Orochimaru and his damned plans! It's time for your hatred and wrath to burn down the Leaf!

[] Stay in your room and wait. You've been waiting over 50 years for this moment, what's a few more hours?

[] Explore the hotel. You'll agree to stay on course with the plan, but it doesn't mean you can't look around.

Arc 1: Chapter 27
You took in a massive breath and then exhaled until you couldn't anymore. You needed to make sure you were ready for the invasion. Not wanting to take any chances, you began doing some exercises to loosen up your body. You honestly didn't know if you needed it, but it was a good way to pass the time. When you were finished with that, you took the tool pouch the Sound gave you and dumped out all the weapons. You sat down and began organizing them, counting everything you had.

"About ten kunai, ten shuriken, five explosive tags...even two soldier pills. Not a bad line up..." you muttered. You checked every single kunai and shuriken to make sure they would be as sharp as they needed to be. When you were satisfied, you put away all your tools and sat on the bed. There was still time before the finals of the Chunin Exam, but then you heard a whisper in your mind.

"Do not forget about our deal." Hinata's voice spoke.

"Do not dare command me, girl. I may have agreed, but my revenge comes first." you spat back, a sudden feeling of annoyance washing over you.

"This is the only thing I ask, fox!" Hinata angrily replied, her voice turning rough and raspy, almost as if she was trying to copy your original voice.

"You have heard my answer, girl! If your pathetic fool of a father shows up, then I will try. Hound me further on this and I will make sure you will never know why he chose your fate!" you barked back. Thankfully this seemed to make Hinata slink back into the recesses of your mind. You took in another deep breath. The invasion will happen in a mere few hours. But could you really wait that long?

You figured you had to try.

---

You were never more thankful for human interaction when someone knocked at your door, giving you the signal for the finals starting. You stood up, made one quick look over your gear, and opened the door. A vaguely familiar looking Leaf shinobi greeted you. "Welcome to the Leaf! I am Gekki, I'll be your guide to the finals. Your leader wanted to make sure you made your way there."

You didn't respond. You felt like you met this human before, but where? When trying to remember got too annoying, you nodded at Gekki and let him take you to where the finals will take place. Gekki tried speaking to you, telling you about various locations of the Leaf but he trailed off and stopped when he realized you weren't engaging at all. Eventually you were brought to a massive arena, a circular building that was clearly only made for events such as this.

Thousands of people were waiting outside, both in lines and in large crowds, wanting to enter the building so they may watch the matches. Thankfully, before the buzzing of the crowd flared your anger, Gekki took you to a side entrance. You entered the building and as you expected, the innards were mostly narrow and built vertically. The vaguely familiar man led you to the very top of the arena, where you entered a large room.

You were in a skybox, far above the arena grounds, perfect height to watch the matches that will go down below. The most notable thing were four people all wearing similar robes, though only two shared the same color. There was Orochimaru with his gray trimmed hat and robe, while there were two with red ones. Finally, there was another man wearing the same robes, but with a green color instead.

"Welcome, my prized student. You will be watching the matches with Lord Minato, Lord Hiruzen, the Hokage, and the Kazekage, Rasa Saito. Orochimaru smoothly said upon seeing you enter the room. You looked at the other robed men. The first was a man with blond and spiky hair with bright blue eyes, Minato. He gave you a welcoming smile and nod. The second was an old, yet wise looking man who was smoking from a pipe, Hiruzen, giving you a curious look. Finally, the Kazekage, Rasa, was a serious and stern looking man who didn't even bother acknowledge you.

"Sorry about none of your shinobi being able to make the finals, Lord Nozuchi." Minato respectfully said, "but I suppose the Leaf and Sand really took it up a notch this year."

"Oh, that's fine." Orochimaru spoke, apparently his fake name being Nozuchi. "I'm sure if my student...Hinata was to compete, they'd prove victorious."

A look of concern spread on both Minato and Hiruzen's faces, but they said nothing about it, only Hiruzen saying "Quite curious there's an even split between Leaf and Sand genin. Looks like the Sand is recovering..."

Rasa said nothing, his arms crossed. Orochimaru did say the invasion would be the Sound and Sand teaming up against the Leaf, Rasa must be waiting for everything to start as well! Soon some shinobi entered the room, a beautiful if aging silver haired woman standing behind Rasa, that fool Asuma from earlier standing behind Hiruzen, and absolutely vile looking man wearing a green jumpsuit with a bowl cut and thick eyebrows standing behind Minato, and to your surprise, Kobura standing behind Orochimaru.

Kobura looked at you for a moment and you noticed his eyes weren't violet in color. He must have not been able to reach Jashin before the invasion started. He gave you a subtle nod. These people were probably playing bodyguards for their leader. Of course, Asuma and the disgrace of humanity won't just be playing for long...

In the middle of the field, a young man with a bandanna and a senbon in his mouth checked to make sure his microphone was working before speaking aloud to the arena, "Welcome everyone to the finals of the Chunin Exam! Today ten genin will do battle in order to be recognized as full fledged ninja! These will be one on one fights, with the winner advancing to the next round. To win, you must knockout your opponent or render them unable to battle. Killing and forfeits are allowed, although we will attempt to stop any killing blow."

The rules sound simple enough. If you were there, nobody would be able to stop you tearing those damned brats to bloody pieces...

"Now, for the first match! Rock Lee of the Leaf versus Makoto Hibana of the Sand!"

"Go on Lee, show them your YOUTH!" the vile looking man suddenly spoke in a voice that was just as loud as his outfit. Then the two genin showed up, standing across from each other in the arena. To your horror, it seemed like the shame of humanity had produced a child or clone, as Rock Lee looked almost like the older man. Same bowl cut, same jumpsuit, even the same eyebrows...

Across from Rock Lee was Makoto, a boyish looking girl with tanned skin and a notably toned physique, her long dark brown hair tied into a ponytail. She also wore a tan flak jacket with only cloth wrappings tied tightly around her chest to prevent any indecency, along with a matching tan mini-skirt with some shorts underneath. It seemed like the area in the fighting arena was also connected to some microphones as you could hear Lee and Makoto talking quite clearly.

"Please Miss Makoto, I do not wish to harm a lady. Surrender." Rock Lee politely asked.

"Hm, nah! I saw you what you did in the prelims! I'm fired up to fight someone as strong as you!" Makoto bluntly replied, reaching into a pocket in her flak jacket and revealing a scroll. She dramatically opened it and in a puff of smoke came two large blades that looked like oversized kunai.

"LEE! Do not dishonor your opponent, even if she is a girl! Fight your hardest!" the overgrown Lee clone shouted, hurting your ears from the noise. Somehow, Rock Lee managed to hear it and nodded, getting into a fighting stance.

"Now...begin!" the announcer exclaimed.

What will you do now?

[] Watch the matches. It could be entertaining, maybe.

[] Claim you need the restroom and leave. You can't stand sitting around watching other people fight!

[] Take a nap. A little bit of rest always helps.

Arc 1: Chapter 28
You decided to pay close attention to the matches. After all, you may need to know how they fight, or if they have any techniques that might worth investigating.

---

Makoto was quick to act first, rushing forward and slicing at Lee with her blades. Lee for his part nimbly dodged backwards, bending his body to avoid the attacks. He suddenly struck during a small pause in Makoto's assault to strike her midsection with a powerful punch! Makoto gasped in pain as Lee jumped forward for a knee strike to Makoto's face! However the Sand kunoichi suddenly formed wind chakra around her fists and thrusted forward, a heavy wind pushing back Lee. The weird looking kid stumbled backward which gave Makoto enough time to follow up with a slash of her blade!

Lee managed to avoid the worst of it by backing up, but the tip of Makoto's blade managed to scratch into Lee's chest, cutting his jumpsuit and leaving a thin cut. Makoto chuckled and grinned, "you better not be holding back! I want to face you at your best!"

Lee looked up the skybox, silently asking approval for something. The vile man nodded his head and gave a thumbs up, which Lee somehow saw. "Very well, Miss Makoto. I will go all out!"

Lee suddenly sat down and took off his leg warmers, to reveal two pairs of weights strapped to his legs. He took them off and got to his feet. "Phew! It has been so long! Now we can begin properly!"

With a flick of his wrists, Lee sent the weights flying to the sides of the arena...where they crashed into the walls with amazing force due to their pure weight, the entire arena vibrating for a brief second! Minato looked incredulously at the vile man before asking "Guy, how hard have you been training Lee?!"

"I only trained him as hard as he wants! Rock Lee is the paragon of hard work, not even something like natural talent can defeat him now!" Guy declared hammily. "NOW GO! LEE, SHOW HER YOUR YOUTH!"

Rock Lee's Battle Theme

At speeds greater than most could see, Lee rocketed forwards and slammed his fist right into Makoto's cheek, sending her skidding across the dirt floor of the arena. She got to her feet as Lee appeared from the side to attack her, but Makoto jabbed forward with her blades to stop the attack...but Lee vanished into thin air before reappearing on the other side, kicking Makoto's ribs with great force!

Makoto yelped in pain as Lee jumped in the air, doing several acrobatic flips before landing the heel of his foot right on top of Makoto's head. Lee then followed it up with a jumping spinning roundhouse kick, something he called the Leaf Whirlwind that drilled his foot into Makoto's cheek, sending her flying across the arena until she smacked brutally into the wall, sending up a cloud of dirt from the impact.

"The match is over." Lee said bluntly. As the smoke settled, Lee (and most of the audience was amazed) when Makoto was still standing! She had a head wound that trailed a thick line of blood down her face and a growing bruise on her cheek, but she almost looked...excited!

---

"You trained your genin well, Guy. But Makoto won't fall easily." the silver haired woman said, speaking for the first time.

"Is she your genin, Fumi?" Hiruzen asked.

"I'm honored The Professor of the Leaf knows my name." Fumi said with a small smile. "Indeed she is. This fight is going to be a vicious one."

---

"The match is over? Who decided that? Not me! Sorry Lee, you're strong, probably the strongest dude I ever fought, but I can't lose!" Makoto declared proudly, throwing her blades to the ground.

"You cannot lose? Are you fighting for something?" Rock Lee curiously asked.

"Eh, I can't lose because I promised my most treasured person we'd meet in the finals!" Makoto shouted, pointing at a girl in the area where all the contestants were. "Hear that babe? You and me at the top!"

Said girl, who had long black hair with the tips being dark green, blushed heavily and shook her head. Makoto gave a hearty laugh and continued, "Plus, I can't lose in front of all these women! It would be a shame if their pretty faces were stained with tears due to my defeat!"

Rock Lee looked rather confused but responded with, "fighting for someone is a great cause! But I also must meet someone in the finals. Sorry Makoto!"

Lee rushed forward once more at great speeds, most likely looking to end things with one blow. Makoto tensed up and...took the punch right on the chin! However, Makoto suddenly grasped Lee's arm, powering through the pain and delivering a powerful counter blow right into Lee's face! Lee cried out in pain, but it was muffled when Makoto grabbed his face with an open palm, her fingers digging into Lee's skin as she roared and slammed his head into the arena walls.

Then Makoto, still holding onto Lee's arm, flipped Lee over her shoulder, slamming him onto the ground. Lee was quick to recover by twisting his body in a dance-like movement to sweep Makoto's leg, forcing her to let go as he backed away. Makoto rushed forward to keep the advantage, but Lee's speed meant every punch she threw was dodged! This continued for a bit until the two were back in the center of the arena, both of them breathing heavily.

Taking a deep breath, Lee gave Makoto a serious look as he loosened the bandages around his arm. With a grunt, Lee began circling Makoto, with such speed that a tornado of dirt and dust rose upwards. Makoto didn't even bother to keep track of Lee, forming more wind chakra on her arms. Suddenly with even greater speed than before, Lee kicked Makoto right under her jaw, sending her high into the sky! Lee appeared under Makoto, copying her pose almost like a shadow as the loosened bandages tried to loop around Makoto...

"Fuck off!" Makoto screamed, twisting her body around so she was now face to face with Lee! She thrusted both wind covered arms before the bandages managed to cover her completely and sent Lee brutally rocketing to the ground, forming a small crater. Makoto was now in the air above Lee, falling as rapid speeds, clearly aiming to finish the fight! However Lee managed to recover and barely dodged the aerial strike, Makoto's hand cracking and popping as it collided with the hard floor.

"Damn it!" Makoto cursed, looking at her broken hand. Lee got to his feet, breathing heavily. "Alright. I guess it's time for my trump card! It was fun Lee."

Makoto grunted as veins in her head started to bulge and throb, her pupils starting to vanish from her eyes, the hair tie keeping her ponytail in line breaking free, her long hair rising upwards! Her skin was turning red and a vortex of chakra was spinning around her! Lee look astonished and once more looked to the skybox at his sensei. Guy nodded and gave Lee another thumbs up...

Lee nodded once more and...did the exact same thing as Makoto! The red skin, pure white eyes, the chakra swirling around them, it looked to be a mirror match! One Makoto was not happy to see. "You can open the Gates too?! Dammit!"

"This is the end! Let us go, Makoto!" Lee roared.

"THIRD GATE, OPEN!" they both screamed before vanishing with pure speed. The arena was suddenly covered in a large smokescreen of dust as the two made shockwaves, clashing their fists together. This happened a few more times, Striking each other for a brief moment they were visible before vanishing and doing it in another part of the arena. The ground cracked from the force of the attacks, the single tree in the arena was suddenly reduced to wooden shrapnel, all of the shrubs and bushes uprooted and eradicated...

Finally the two stopped, standing across from each other. Both of them bruised, bloodied, and beaten. Makoto was clearly worse off, but Lee was on his last legs too. Lee made another stance, more chakra pulsing from his body as he barked out, "FOURTH GATE...! OPEN!"

"F-Fourth?" Makoto weakly said before Lee appeared before Makoto, his fist buried deeply into her stomach. Makoto went back to normal as her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she fell towards the ground, unconscious. The announcer walked towards Makoto and checked on her before announcing, "Rock Lee of the Leaf wins by knockout!"

The arena erupted into cheers as Rock Lee also went back to normal and fell onto the ground, panting heavily. You didn't even know if he could fight in the next round with all the damage caused by the fight. Soon the two were carted off the stage, with Makoto being tended to the girl she pointed out earlier.

---

"That was quite the match between our students, Fumi!" Guy exclaimed. "Thank you for letting Lee push his limits!"

"I'd have to thank you, Guy. Makoto does best when she has a goal to strive for. I'm sure this defeat will give her plenty of drive." Fumi graciously replied.

After the arena calmed down, the announcer spoke once more. "The next battle would have been Kankuro Saito vs Shino Aburame, but Kankuro has chose to forfeit the match, claiming a fear of bugs. Shino Aburame wins!"

The people in the stands booed and jeers at the unseen Kankuro. Rasa gave a small grunt of annoyance which stopped any comments from the other leaders. With that announcement out of the way, the announcer continued, "Thus the next match is Oharu Maita of the Sand versus Shikamaru Nara of the Leaf!"

Oharu walked onto the arena, a stoic looking boy with sky blue colored hair that was styled to cover the left half of his face. His eyes were a sparkling blue and he wore a standard Sand shinobi outfit, but instead of a tan flak jacket, it was a blue one. His opponent almost looked dull in contrast, a bored looking kid with dark hair tied into a spiky ponytail. He wore a gray top with fishnet suits underneath with dark colored pants.

"What a drag...the people are gonna want another Leaf win. Ugh..." Shikamaru groaned, scratching the back of his head.

"If you don't want to fight, then you may give up. It would be easier on both of us." Oharu stated, crossing his arms.

"OH DON'T YOU DARE QUIT SHIKAMARU! GIVE THAT PUNK A SIXTEEN HIT COMBO!" a loud woman's voice shouted from the stands.

"...Women sure are scary." Shikamaru sighed. "Guess I got no choice, even if I'd rather watch the clouds."

"Such a lackadaisical attitude. Sorry, but my clan is placing all their hopes on me. I must win!" Oharu firmly said.

"Let the fight BEGIN!"

Arc 1: Chapter 29
Shikamaru was quick to fall back, clearly not wanting to engage Oharu with taijutsu. Oharu stoically made hand seals before clapping his hands and shouted, "Water Release: Robbing the Sky!"

Shikamaru flinched, expecting and attack of sorts, but nothing ever came. He looked around confused until he noticed that he was starting to sweat. It took a moment for him to realize that now even his clothes were starting to become damp, he wasn't sweating, Oharu's jutsu made the air extremely humid! "If he's a water user...then he has all the sources he needs for his jutsu!"

"Water Release: Water Shuriken!"

Sudden hundreds of shuriken made of water appeared above Oharu and he thrusted his arm out, causing the water shuriken to attack Shikamaru all at once! Shikamaru's eyes narrowed and quickly threw a kunai high into the air. Right before the water shuriken converged on him, Shikamaru used the substitution jutsu, switching places with the thrown kunai! The water shuriken exploded onto each other, sending water everywhere! Oharu wasn't finished and he made more hand seals as Shikamaru was still in the air.

"Water Release: Great Geyser!"

Manipulating the water underneath Shikamaru, Oharu created a pillar of water that slammed into the helpless Leaf ninja, making him curse in pain as he fell onto the ground, thankfully the hard dirt was softened due to the sudden deluge. Before Shikamaru could recover, Oharu made another handseal and two tendrils of water circled around Shikamaru's legs, keeping him pinned in place!

"Give a guy a break...!" Shikamaru complained, pulling out another kunai to cut at the water tendrils.

"No. If you're allowed to think, I'll lose." Oharu bluntly, almost emotionlessly stated. "I saw your fight in the preliminaries."

Oharu made a familiar set of hand seals and created hundreds of Water Shuriken once more. Shikamaru looked rather worried and quickly slashed at the water tendrils holding him, freeing himself! With only moments to do something, he pulled out a kunai that had an explosive tag tied to it. Shikamaru threw the lit tag at the water shuriken, the tag exploding while releasing a blinding white light!

"A flashbang?!" Oharu grunted, closing his eyes and jumping backward, which proved to be a smart move as Shikamaru used the flashbang to extend his shadow, clearly a hasty tactic trying for a desperate win. Oharu made hand seals and clapped his hands just as Shikamaru's shadow connected with Oharu's...

"Water Release: Stormy Blockade!"

Shikamaru snapped his head upwards (forcing Oharu to do the same) as a mass of water spawned above the Nara, falling onto him without a chance to evade. Shikamaru was crushed by the water, being flattened into the ground and disconnecting his shadow from Oharu's. Oharu then made a hand seal, a water tendril flipping the unconscious Shikamaru face up so he wouldn't suffocate by having his face buried in the muck.

"Winner of the match, Oharu Maita!" the announcer exclaimed after checking on Shikamaru. The arena cheered once more, but not as loud as the first match due to how one sided it was.

---

"Poor kid, he didn't even have a chance to show off anything." Orochimaru lightly chuckled.

"Sadly this happens sometimes. These finals are great for showing how strong a genin can be, but someone like Shikamaru is much better for support and tactics." Hiruzen sighed. "Oharu had the advantage from the start."

"Sugarcoat it all you want, your shinobi was defeated easily. Perhaps some praise for my shinobi would be in better taste?" Rasa suddenly spoke, giving a fierce glare to Hiruzen.

"Now now, lets relax..." Minato interjected, trying to soothe the tension. Rasa grunted and turned back to the arena as the announcer stepped back into the middle.

---

"Now it's time for our next match! Tenten of the Leaf versus Okichi Temko of the Sand!" the announcer declared. The first person out was a girl with her brown hair tied into two buns on her head and wore a pink top with dark blue pants. Standing across from Tenten was a boy clearly a few years older than her with a mop of dark brown hair and a pair of rimless glasses that slightly obscured his piercing red eyes. He wore a long brown overcoat that had many pockets sewn onto them that was bulging with with scrolls. Every time he moved, the muffled clinking and clanking of metal could heard.

"You're a bit old for a genin, huh? You get held back?" Tenten asked, although from her tone it was clearly an attempt at trash talk.

"No. I refused to be a shinobi until my siblings became ones too." Okichi bluntly answered. The crowd, restless for the next battle to begin, began making cheers and boos to which Okichi flinched from. "Ugh...noisy..."

"It'll get a lot more noisier when they're cheering from my victory!" Tenten boasted, pulling out a scroll and summoning a metal staff.

"Oh!" Okichi excitedly said, rushing over to Tenten and taking the staff right from her hands. "Made with mid quality iron, not very well taken care off but well used and loved..."

"HEY! Give me back my staff!" Tenten shouting, causing Okichi to jump in fright.

"S-Sorry. I get really excited when people use weaponry. Do you use weaponry?" Okichi asked, playing with his Sand headband that was tied to his left wrist.

"I'll show you when we fight!" Tenten growled, rather annoyed with Okichi.

"Let the fight begin!" the announcer declared.

Tenten was quick to rush forward, attempting to strike Okichi with her staff, but with speed you could barely notice he reached into his overcoat and pulled out a small iron bar that quickly expanded into a staff! Okichi clashed multiple times with Tenten, the sounds of metal on metal ringing throughout the arena. Eventually Okichi stopped playing defensively and overwhelmed Tenten with surgically precise strikes and swings that disarmed her of her staff!

"Heh, you're good! But close combat isn't really my thing. Take this!" Tenten confidently said, revealing a scroll and opening it, sending hundreds of various tools flying at Okichi! The older boy swiftly revealed his own scroll from one of his many pockets and summoned a massive shield that was easily double his height! The shield was so heavy it sank a few inches into the ground providing a sturdy defense as Tenten's barrage bounced harmlessly off it!

Tenten didn't waver and skillfully threw some shurikens that went past the shield but managed to curve and fly right at Okichi who was still behind the shield! Okichi easily jumped and stood on top of the shield, now looking down on Tenten. "Go ahead."

"W-What?" Tenten replied in confusion.

"Pick up your weapons. It hurts me to see them scattered like this..." Okichi sorrowfully muttered.

"What, no! That's a waste of time!" Tenten snarled in frustration. Okichi said nothing, looking rather shocked and hurt. Eventually he grit his teeth and pure fury erupted from him!

"You dare call yourself a weapon user, yet you throw and discard perfectly usable weapons just because they're out of reach! You are a disgrace! You don't deserve the blessings they give you!" Okichi roared, his face strained and his eyes wild and wide. Tenten didn't even get a chance to respond as Okichi summoned a long, black spear and rushed towards Tenten.

Tenten summoned her own spear, but Okichi was quick to disarm the kunoichi and thrusted the spear into Tenten's stomach...only to reveal Tenten had swapped places with some weaponry on the ground. Okichi was quick to point his black spear at Tenten and pressed a button on the shaft, a burst of chakra sending the tip of the spear rocketing at Tenten, connected to a chain hidden inside the spear! Tenten summoned a katana and was quick to swipe away the chained tip of the spear, but with a small motion from Okichi the chain wrapped around the sword and pulled back, ripping the sword out of Tenten's grip.

"I'll give your weapons a good home." Okichi coldly muttered as he put away the spear and Tenten's sword in the same scroll.

"Thief!" Tenten shouted as she summoned two large scrolls and set them beside her before jumping high into the air, the scrolls popped open, shrouding Tenten and the rising scrolls in smoke that took the form of a dragon. When the smoke dragon fades, Tenten began grabbing and throwing as many weapons as she could at Okichi, who reached for another scroll and summoned rather large and unwieldy sword that had an odd rock embedded on both sides of the hilt.

"Repulse!" Okichi shouted, swinging the sword downward as Tenten's weapons got close. The rock in the hilt reacted to some chakra Okichi pumped into it and sent out a large wave of purple chakra that sent back all of the weapons Tenten threw! Tenten screamed in fright and curled up as much as she could, using her arms and legs to protect her face and body as they were suddenly pelted with the hundred of weapons she herself at thrown! Thankfully for her, all her weapons seemed to be blunted to prevent lethal damage.

Tenten fell onto the ground, thankfully Okichi's attack from earlier managed to sweep away any of the weapons on the ground underneath the kunoichi. She struggled to get back onto her feet, her arms and legs heavily bruised and bleeding. "What...the hell was that...?"

"The rock is a unique ore found in a mine my clan governs, it creates a magnetic pulse when given chakra. It took a lot of tinkering to use it properly." Okichi answered promptly. "If I focus my chakra on the rock on the other side..."

As Okichi did so, all of the weaponry (except for the massive shield) scattered across the arena rapidly gathered towards the sword, though Okichi stopped before he was swarmed by tools. With all of the tools at Okichi's feet, he summoned a massive scroll and opened it, placing it over the pile of weapons and sealing it within.

"Those were all of my weapons!" Tenten cried out, trying to take a step forward but her injured legs gave out on her, sending her to the ground. Okichi walked over to Tenten, who tensed up for a finishing blow, but Okichi placed the large scroll next to her.

"Do you promise to take care of your weapons properly?" Okichi gently asked, kneeling down to be eye level with Tenten, who was sitting up now.

"...Yes." Tenten hesitantly replied.

"Good." Okichi nodded, standing back up. He looked at the announcer and said, "She can't get up anymore. I think I win."

"Tenten?" the announcer asked, looking at the defeated kunoichi.

"Y-Yeah. I can't continue." Tenten sighed.

"There you have it, the winner is Okichi Temko of the Sand!'

Compared to the cheers for earlier fights, Okichi was suddenly assaulted by a multitude of boos and jeers. No doubt another one sided fight, not to mention that he was older then Tenten by a few years, made it look very unfair. Okichi walked away into the stadium after sealing away his massive shield while Tenten was helped to the back.

---

"Next match will be the first round finals. Aiko Mishoto vs Neji Hyuga..." Minato said with interest. "Aiko is the daughter of Pakura, right?"

"She is. She is another one of my students." Fumi answered confidently.

"Well look at that! Neji is also my student! Looks like the Leaf will take another win! Sorry, Fumi!" Guy declared with a bright smile.

"I wouldn't be so sure. Aiko is a very strong girl, not just in combat, but emotionally as well. I believe she'll bring the Sand another victory." Fumi replied, "Also... wasn't that Tenten girl one of your students?" she asked, giving a smirk towards Guy.

"N-Neji is a prodigy, even in the Hyuga Clan! He'll take home the gold for sure!" Guy said, quickly turning his attention to the arena.

Arc 1: Chapter 30
"Now it's time for the finals of the first round! It's two wins for the Leaf Village and two wins for the Sand Village, let's see who will tip the scales!" the announcer declared, doing a good job of riling up the crowd. "Now here comes Neji Hyuga of the Leaf!"

From the side of the arena walked out a boy with a frown etched on his face. He had long black hair and the trademark Byakugan of the Hyuga. He wore a beige colored top with black shorts, bandaged covering the entirety of his right arm and leg. He reached the center of the arena and crossed his arms, waiting for his opponent.

"Hailing from the Sand Village, Aiko Mishoto!"

From the opposite side of the arena came the girl from earlier that accompanied Makoto after her loss. Aiko was a petite girl with long black hair tied into twintails than flowed down her back, the tips of her hair been a dark green. She wore a sleeveless black top with bandages wrapped around her midsection, her gray pants completing the outfit.

The two stood across from each other and Neji sneered at Aiko, "You'd be better off surrendering. It's my destiny to defeat anyone who challenges me."

"Destiny? What does destiny have to do with anything?" Aiko asked, her voice calm and unwavering. "Is this your way of keeping confident?"

"No. It's simple the will of fate. I am a rare talent that no amount of hard work can overcome! You will fall to the might of the Hyuga Clan!" Neji shot back, his eyes furrowing.

"...That doesn't make sense. Even if you have raw talent, hard work refines it into something that can be used. Are you telling me you have never trained in your life?" Aiko questioned.

"Of course I have, the difference between you and me is that even if you trained all your life, I would surpass you in a mere fraction of the time. Do you think yourself arrogant enough to stand against me?" Neji said through grit teeth.

"I'm facing off with a prodigy of one of the strongest clans in the Leaf. If I'm being honest, I'm unsure if I can pull out a win." Aiko honestly admitted. "But for the sake of my team, for the sake of my team, and for the sake of..."

Aiko trailed off but looked into the sky for a moment before turning her attention back to Neji, her bright brown eyes glimmering in determination. "I will surpass you!"

"Then you will fail!" Neji barked, activating his Byakugan.

"Let the match begin!"

Neji wanted first blood and rushed forward with an open palm strike, but Aiko dodged the blow and backed away, making hand seals as she inhaled deeply and blew out a powerful gust of wind and knocked Neji over, but he was quick to get back on his feet. "A breeze won't be able to defeat me!"

"Then how about we turn up the heat?" Aiko smirked, making more hand seals before shouting, "Fire Release: Wall of Flame!"

Aiko exhaled a large bolt of fire at Neji, who easily dodged the rather slow moving attack, but seemed shocked at the fact that Aiko could use two elements! The fire was lingering on the ground as Neji once again rushed forward to attack Aiko, striking her right in the chest! But to Neji's annoyance, Aiko poofed into a log and she was now right behind the quickly shrinking fire.

"Wind Release: Howling Gale!"

Aiko released another blast of wind, but this one was much more controlled and was aimed at the flames, making them grow to extreme size and spread over the arena rapidly! Neji took a stance and started spinning rapidly, ejecting chakra from his body to create a spinning barrier of chakra that easily deflected the flames. When Neji was finished, he used the body flicker for greater speed that surprised Aiko and jabbed his fingers into her shoulder, making Aiko gasp in pain.

Neji wasn't finished and tried to strike Aiko with another blow, but she ducked under and ran backwards in a feeble attempt to escape, but Neji was too fast and slammed his palm into Aiko's midsection, sending her flying backwards. Aiko slammed into the arena wall and clutched at her stomach, blood starting to seep from her mouth. Neji smugly relaxed his stance and began to talk.

"What did I tell you, it's your fate to be defeated by me!" Neji arrogantly declared. "I sealed two of your chakra points and your innards are damaged. Why not call it quits?"

Aiko didn't reply, making hand seals and slamming her hands onto the ground, a seal appearing before a puff of smoke covered Aiko from sight! From the smoke suddenly flew out a small bird with bright yellow and orange feathers. It flew around for a moment until it landed on Aiko's shoulder. "Aiko, you're already injured?!"

"Sorry Feng, but I'll need your help. This guy is no joke." Aiko said to the bird.

"Very well!" Feng cried out, raising his wings and covering Aiko in a shroud of fire! Instead of burning to a crisp, Aiko had all of her wounds healed! "Aiko, I suggest you use your clan's jutsu, else you will lose."

"...You might be right, but I don't want to injure him, "Aiko sighed.

"Even if you can heal with that summoning of yours, you will not win!" Neji grunted, going for another assault on Aiko! Aiko chained together hand seals and blew out sharp knives made of air at Neji, who acrobatically dodged them and got in close to Aiko once more, but this time Aiko was ready and made a hand seal, forming two clones of herself! They rushed at Neji, who could only grin.

"My Byakugan can tell these are just mere clone jutsu you learned from the academy!" Neji declared, striking the clones rapidly. However, one clone suddenly exploded into fire while the other exploded into a gale of wind, combining into a large explosion! Neji cried out as he was send backwards, the bandages covering his arm and leg now burnt off, his outfit now having burns and tears in them! Aiko looked worried, but Feng pecked at her head and told her to follow up!

Remorsefully, Aiko made more hand seals and spat out multiple small fireballs at Neji who powered through his pain and used his rotation technique once more! As he finished, Aiko panted and gave Neji a serious look. "Neji...to beat you, I know I have to go all out. I don't like using these jutsu but..."

"Don't patronize me!" Neji growled.

"Fine." Aiko said, making more hand seals as she inhaled deeply. "Scorch Release: Desert Fireball!"

Aiko exhaled an absolutely massive fireball that was bright yellow and orange in color, looking like the sun and it's heat palpable enough for you to even feel it in the skybox! As it flew at Neji, the earth underneath the attack was lit on fire. Neji for the first time in the fight looked worried and began his rotation jutsu once as the scorching fireball collided with it, splashing the intense flames all over the arena and making it catch fire! Various shinobi from the stands doused the flames that got too close to the spectators.

When Neji finished his attack, he was sweating profusely and breathing heavily, the heat of the nearby flames no doubt causing its damage. Neji ran towards the exhausted Aiko and Feng was quick to fly away from the assault he knew was coming! Aiko threw a few kunai in an attempt to stop Neji, but he jumped over the kunai and Aiko, getting into a unique stance as Aiko turned around.

"It's over, you're in my range!" Neji cried out. "Two Palms!"

Two fierce blows struck Aiko's chest.

"Four Palms"

Neji doubled his attack, striking with all his power.

"Eight Palms! Sixteen Palms! Thirty Two Palms!"

Aiko was barely able to stand as Neji delivered the final touch to his attack. "Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms!"

Neji struck with speed only few could see and send Aiko flying across the arena, her body was crumpled up into a heap, the flames slowly spreading towards her. The announcer appeared by Aiko and checked on her. "It looks like Aiko is unable to con-"

"N-No!" Aiko weakly coughed out. To everyone's utter shock, including Neji, Aiko managed to get onto her knees before standing up. She coughed out a large amount of blood and Feng landed on her shoulder, worriedly looking at her as he used his healing flames once again. However, it wasn't clearly enough to fully heal the girl, as she was rather shaky on her feet.

"I'm sorry Aiko, that's all I can do. I'm exhausted. Just be careful!" Feng said with concern before he vanished in a puff of smoke. Aiko nodded before giving Neji a fierce glare. Something in her eyes was shimmering...almost changing.

"Neji...I want to become a great shinobi. I want to become the hero my mother was before her death." Aiko began, straightening herself out. "I want to protect all my friends, I want to help my village! To do that, I must win! I must prove myself to everyone here!"

"Enough of your drivel!" Neji roared, appearing in front of Aiko and attempting a finishing blow. However, in that exact moment, something happened. Aiko's eyes changed from bright brown to a deep red with a black pupil, her left eye having one tomoe-like marking, her other eye having two marking around her pupil. Neji's eyes widened as Aiko dodged the strike and counter with an elbow to Neji's face, sending him stumbling backwards.

"Is that the Sharingan?!" Minato asked incredulously. "How? The Uchiha clan was massacred years ago!"

Rasa gave a smug look to the Hokage, "It seems like you can't keep track of who deserted your village, huh? A man named Sozen Uchiha left your village a little after the Third World War and begged the Sand to grant him safety. We agreed and from there he married Pakura Mishoto."

"So that's what happened to him..." Hiruzen muttered. "It was reported he and his sister Ibuki killed each other in the desert."

"Ibuki was that woman whose remains I gave to Orochimaru...hm." you thought. Your blood boiled at the sight of seeing the Sharingan, but you kept a lid on it for now. The fight was going to reach its climax soon.

---

As the fire slowly surrounded Aiko and Neji, the two engaged in taijutsu. The Sharingan helped Aiko keep her ground against Neji's superior skill, but it was clear he was also suffering from exhaustion, both from using his techniques and the heat of the scorching flames. Aiko for the most part wanted to break away and use a jutsu, but Neji kept her in place, knowing if Aiko got some distance it would be the end.

After deflecting a few more attacks, Aiko squeezed her eyes shut, grasping her head, as no doubt the strain of first using a doujutsu began to take hold. Neji grasped his chance, his Byakugan involuntarily shutting off due to lack of chakra, the tips of his fingers aiming right at Aiko's heart...

Aiko felt a weak blow strike her chest, making her step back as her vision returned. She looked at Neji kneeling in front of her, panting heavily. He looked up to her, his voice raspy and dry. "Was it...my destiny to lose? You gained power...from nowhere...is that not fate itself intervening?"

"I don't know, Neji. But fate isn't absolute. I don't know what issues you may have, but you're strong. You are powerful enough to make your own fate." Aiko muttered before unexpectedly falling to her knees.

"Make...my own?" Neji mumbled before his exhaustion took over and he slumped onto the ground, unconscious.

Before the flames consumed Aiko and Neji, a few jonin appeared and doused all the flames in the arena. The announcer checked on Neji before shouting "The winner is Aiko Mishoto of the Sand!"

The arena erupted into cheers, which even surpassed the amount Lee and Makoto had gotten! Aiko and Neji were placed on two stretchers and were carried away.

"Now that the first round has completed, there will be an intermission! Please use this time to use the restroom, get refreshments, or simply cool down until the next round!" The announcer declared.

"Minato, I wish to speak to you about something. I'm sure you two don't mind if we left for a moment?" Hiruzen asked, looking at Rasa and Orochimaru.

"Not at all." Orochimaru calmly replied. Rasa nodded in agreement. Minato and Hiruzen left the skybox, Asuma and Guy following them. You were now left in the skybox with Rasa, Fumi, Orochimaru, and Kobura. Rasa secretly made a hand seal and a small pulse of chakra covered the room.

"I used my Magnet Release to ruin any electronics that may have been in here. We can speak freely." Rasa muttered, looking at Orochimaru.

"Good. The signal for the invasion will happen right before the first match of the second round starts. My subordinate will use a genjutsu to make everyone in the arena fall asleep." Orochimaru explained. "At the same moment, we will use a smoke bomb and start the battle against the Hokage."

"I already know the plan, snake. Why repeat information?" Rasa bitterly asked.

"Because the person who has been watching the matches with me didn't know the details yet." Orochimaru answered, gesturing towards you. "He is no mere student, he is the Nine Tailed Fox."

"You're using the Leaf's own Jinchuriki against them?" Fumi asked, looking impressed.

"It wasn't in the plan before, but luck rewards the bold." Orochimaru chuckled. "How about you, is your Jinchuriki ready?"

"Unfortunately, we lost the Seven Tails a few months back. It broke out of the prison we kept it locked in. However, the One Tail is here and ready." Rasa said bluntly.

"Shukaku is here?!" you hissed with pure fury. Out of all your siblings, Shukaku was the one who enraged you the most.

"So that's its name..." Rasa mused before answering, "Yes it is. It has the same mission as you, I assume. Causing chaos and the like."

You were absolutely seething. To be in the same area as Shukaku made the hair on your neck stand on end. You hated the idea of working with him but at this point you could only hope you can stay far away from him...

While you had the chance, should you ask anyone in the room anything?
