Pokemon Center
When you enter the Pokemon Center, it is chaos. There are people everywhere. A lot are in line, trying to get Nurse Joy to heal their pokemon, some are huddled in a corner, nursing their own injuries. You recognize a lot of them. Most were from Nyasa town.

Like all Pokemon Centers, it has a light brown, tiled floor with a pokeball symbol on the middle of it. The walls are painted light brown with a red trim. To the left and right are glass tables with chairs near them, meant for people waiting for their pokemon to be healed. Right now, most of them are full though there are a couple of seats available.

On the back right wall is a group of computer terminals, meant for people to deposit and withdraw their pokemon from the PC service, skype, or just browse the internet. Right now, they are all full. People trying to get in contact with their families, to reassure them that they are alright or to give them terrible news. There's a television set on the wall at the far end of the room but it from the giant crack in it, actually watching anything on it would be problematic.

On the front right corner there is a door that leads to a stairwell. Upstairs leads to the Trainer's Cafe and downstairs leads to the dormitories where trainers usually sleep.

And of course, straight ahead, Nurse Joy is behind the counter with a complex healing machine behind her. And right now, you see several pokeballs in it, all giving off a slight glow as the pokemon inside are brought back to full health.

You get in line. While you make small talk with the person in front of you, most of it is superficial. After about thirty minutes, you finally get to the front of the line.

"Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Center." Nurse Joy says cheerfully. At least as cheerfully as she can. "We restore your tired pokemon to full health. Would you like us to heal your pokemon?"

While you would say that you already know what a pokemon center is, you know that they are pretty much required to say that whenever someone comes through their doors.

You say yes and help Neptune onto the counter.

"Okay, I'll take your pokemon for a few minutes." Nurse Joy says as she takes Neptune.

You nod, going upstairs to get something to eat. Even as you leave, you hear her giving the same speech to another person.

Upstairs, there are some employees giving out plastic containers filled with food to a group of waiting people. Nothing fancy. A sandwich, some chips, and a bottle of water. Maybe a cookie or some berries. There are a few long tables there but most of them are full. Still, there are a few open spots left.

After waiting in line, once again, making small talk with the other people in it, you get your food. You unwrap the paper your sandwich is wrapped in before someone starts talking to you.

"Hey, you're Bard, right?" The person asks. He looks old. Probably in his 60's or 70's. You're know you've seen him around Nyasa, even talking to him but you can't remember his name.

"Yes." You answer.

"It's been a while. How've you been?" He asks in a friendly manner.

"Well, I'm still alive." You say. You honestly can't work up much more than that.

He sighs. "You know, it's like we can't go a few years without something happening somewhere in the world." They continue. "First there was Team Plasma blowing stuff up with an ice cannon, then there was that mess in Kalos, now this... I moved to Nyasa to get away from crazy people like that..."

He keeps talking for a few more minutes while you keep eating, occasionally talking back or asking him questions about his story. He tells you that he once lived in the Orre region, though he left after "Cruise ships started falling from the sky". He tried to move to other regions before settling in Vesryn.

"Thanks for putting up with my rambling." He says.

He reaches into his pocket an hands you a Super Potion.

"I'm sure you'll find more use for it than I will."

You thank the man and after finishing your meal, you go back downstairs to get Neptune. Thankfully, the line has gotten shorter so you don't have to wait that long.

"We've restored your pokemon to full health" Nurse Joy says. Neptune leaps on the counter, once again, at full health "You can come back anytime" She adds with a nod.

"Thank you. I hope you have a good day" You say to Nurse Joy. "Come on Neptune." You say to the sea horse pokemon as you leave.

Stepping out of the Pokemon Center, it's about fifteen minute until 2:00 pm.

2 more potions in case we get stuck out there for longer than expected(bringing us to 4 potions and 1 super potion), 2 antidotes in case of poison sting, and a MagnamiteLite in case we have problems with the dark by getting stuck between towns at night. And a pokeball to bring us back up to 6 so we can afford a few failures on captures

I'll assume we'll be voting for one location at a time. The main vote looks decent. And since we have no weapons nor 'mon able to create light, the MagnemiteLite makes a lot of sense despite its expense.

MagnamiteLite
When you enter the pokemart, it looks like it had been ransacked. Most of the shelves are almost picked clean. The packaging for several items litter the floor, along with papers, tape, and someone's shoe. At the checkout corner someone is buying the last Repel.

You weren't planning on buying that anyway so you don't mind.

You start browsing the store. Thankfully, you are able to find everything you're looking for. Even the MagnamiteLite though you took the last one. Looks like they had enough of those in stock.

The checkout girl looks like she's seen better days. You see heavy bags under her eyes. Her hair is a mess, and she looks like she's having trouble staying upright.

"Welcome to the Pokemon Mart. For all your training and pokemon caretaking needs. Did you find anything you're looking for?"

Her voice is monotone and slightly slurred. Chances are, she's not in the mood for conversation.

You say yes, and hand over the items. Without a word, she rings you up and hands you the items back after taking your money. You thank her, putting the potions and pokeball in your backpack and the MagnamiteLite in one of the side pockets.

Saying your goodbyes, you leave the store. You're pretty sure she didn't even register what you said.

You leave the store. By now, it's around 2 pm. If you leave now, you should be able to get to Superior before it gets dark.

We might need to frequently head back to town at first, to heal. We're going to need that bump in levels at first so we won't have to heal as frequently.

@MData What are your current plans for handling trainer encounters without them getting tedious? And what about the random items that sometimes lie along routes for no reason at all?

I have two ideas.

1. One or two trainers per route and they give more experience per battle.

2. Offscreen battling while typing only the highlights/when a pokemon faints/you lose completely.

As for random item, I'll need to sleep on it.

Wild Wurmple
Route 301

You start your journey down route 301. The route itself is relatively straightforward. A few bugcatchers are trying to get a Wurmple or a Caterpie. There's a camper nearby though he's more interested in taking pictures of the bird pokemon to battle you at the moment.

Eventually, your thoughts are interrupted as a wild pokemon tackles Neptune out of nowhere. Reacting quickly, Neptune launches Bubble at the pokemon, knocking it on it's side, though he gets up undeterred by the resistance.

It looks like a wild Wurmple wants to fight.

Level: 5
Gender: Male

[] Try to catch it.
[] Just fight it.
[] Run Away.
[] (Special) Use Smokescreen to cover your daring escape.

[X] Just fight it.

Why would we catch a Pokemon that we are not going to use for any length of time?

[X] Try to catch it

Bugs are easy early power, since they evolve fast.
Beautifly and Dustox aren't bad options for early mons.
Super effective against one of our weaknesses is good too.

Wurmple isn't the best, but it doesn't suck, it covers one of our weaknesses, and either last form can learn some useful moves.
