Catching Victory (A Pokemon Quest)

[X] May. She managed to beat both Team Aqua and Magma and took on Kyoger and Groudan. There are rumors that she went fishing when the two were fighting though those are unconfirmed.

[X] Wes. He used to be a member of Team Snagem but he betrayed them, stole their snag machine and blew up their main base. And that was before he took down both them and Cipher.

Interview Finale
"May from Hoenn, of course" you say.

"Really?" Vivian asks, mildly surprised. Maybe she expected you to say mom. Or Red, given how popular, and how good of a trainer, he is.

"Of course." You say. "Anyone who is brave enough to go fishing when there are two legendaries are fighting has my respect."

"That wasn't technically proven" VIvian points out.

"I like to think she did it. The fact that she is even still alive is incredible" You say.

"So." VIvian says, moving on, "I'm sure that most of our viewers are aware of the incident when you battled several Team Olympus outside of the Museum. Could you tell us exactly what happened from your point of view"

(Sociable) You keep a straight face at the mention of what happened last night. Because no matter what, you are guilty of aiding one of them of escape. If it ever got out that you are guilty of aiding a criminal, you could be in for the same sentence as the person you helped. And since he fought several police officers...

If you plead guilty, get a good lawyer, and have divine intervention on your side, you'll face the minimum punishment of a 500,000 PokeDollars fine.

If just one of those isn't on your side, you're going down for forty years.

"Well, it star-" Your voice breaks slightly when you start talking as you realize just what you did. And just what could happen to you if you get caught. Still, only one person knows and he wouldn't get caught, right?

Right?

You clear your throat and start from the beginning, telling the story you told to the police. "Well, it started last night. I was walking to the Pokemon Center after getting out of the Hospital..."

"Thank you for your time, Mr. Battaglia." Vivian says as you take off your mic. The rest of the interview went off without a hitch. They mostly asked about your pokemon, notable battles, and your plans for the future. Standard stuff.

"It was a pleasure." You say. as you hand Vivian the mic.

"We'll get the interview up tomorrow. Be sure to look for it then." Vivian said. "Oh... and here is some compensation from yours truly." She says before turning to her cameraman. "Derek, give him the Great Ball"

The cameraman, Derek, reaches into his pocket and gives you a Great Ball. Brand new from the looks of it.

"Thanks..." You say.

"Good luck on your journey." Vivian says as she and the cameraman finish packing up their equipment. "For both of our sakes, I hope you go all the way... and that you'll give me an exclusive when you do"

"I'll think about it" You say.

"You do that. And for now enjoy your meal, courtsesy of Global Tide. Let's go, Derek"

Vivian and her cameraman leave and the waiter takes your order. Your meal, thankfully, was uneventful. You and your pokemon all eat well

"You know, I'm not one to say I told you so, but... I totally am." Eva says

"Look, everything is going to be fine." You say to her as you pick at the remains of your meal.

"You're lucky I like you so much, or I might take advantage of that little bit of information" she says, adding a chuckle to it.

"That's not funny..."

It's around 1:15 and the sun is high in the air and you've gotten your badge from Onega. You could stick around if you have any unfinished business or you could head west and leave the city.

hm. Are there any pokemon on Route 303 that we want? I think there was mention of a ghost type around here a while back... not sure if we still wanted that.

otherwise, I'm thinking we head out to the next town.

I'm tempted to try pinging one of the lawyer types on SV to check on Bard's culpability. ^_^

"Well, it started last night. I was walking to the Pokemon Center after getting out of the Hospital..."
Wait, it's only the next day? At this rate, we could conquer the League in a month.

I'm fine with just heading on.

On one hand, I really would like a ghost-type for their utility. Scouting, ambushes, tricks, countering psychics and other ghosts, etc. A ghost would make give us so many more options in every Team Olympus encounter. Currently, there are Gastly on Route 303 at night (25%). In-game, there's also a house with a Rotom in it, but Bard wouldn't know that.

On the other hand, we already have 8 Pokemon. The fewer Pokemon we have, the easier it'll be for us players to get to know each of them.

Anyway, are y'all ok with combining several options? Feel free to make changes.

[x] Go to the Poke Mart.
-[x] 2 Potions (300 each)
-[x] 2 Awakenings (250 each)
[x] Teach Fluffy Grass Knot
[x] Go to the Museum.
-[x] Check if they're ok. It would be a nice thing to do.
-[x] Afterwards, if there's no other event, head west out of town to Fianga City.

Where do we find those again?
If following the game's info: Besides that Rotom and the nocturnal Gastly on 302 and 303, I don't think we'll encounter any other ghosts till level 40. Currently, we're still in level 15-20 areas.*

There are also a few ghost types available in the Secret Base that the character gets in the game, but I have no clue how that's supposed to work in a realistic-ish quest.

*Tangent: I could go on my usual rant about how there should be a whole range of wild and trained Pokemon levels throughout Pokemon games, rather than levels depending on geography. ^_^

What's what "Walk Around Town" option is for.

I could have Bard encounter a high level pokemon in-game, but then his pokemon would get stomped hard.

If it makes you feel better, we could say that the weaker pokemon avoid Bard and Bard avoids the stronger pokemon.

[x] Walk around the town and talk to people.

I'm hoping this leads to a Rotom, since I'm way too curious about how we would use one in a more realistic quest. We could send him to start possessing random machines to see what odd abilities he gains. :3

Oh wait. This wouldn't break the tie. Note me down as supporting veekie's museum-then-Gastly idea instead if you want to just start writing.

You start walking around Onega Town. It's still early afternoon so most people are still at work or focused on what they are doing. The town is quiet, much quieter than you are used to. After about thirty minutes, you turn on the radio, if only to drown out the silence. The radio is tuned to K-VIR, Vesryn Independent Radio when you turn it on. They sold airtime to anyone who had enough money so they only had regular programming on certain parts of the day. Any other time, it's whoever had enough money, regardless of who they were.

At least it was rarely boring.

"zzzzztz -aving trouble with my ex-boyfriend. I broke up with him four days ago and he just won't leave me alone. He keeps coming by my house and I don't know what to do!"/

Relationship advice. Not exactly something you need.

/"Look, this is a tried and true way. I should know, I've done it twice, now listen closely"/ You are about to change the radio station to Westwood Boulevard Radio when...

/"-MISTAKE! FOR A ROBBER! AND SHOOT HIM! IN THE LEG! HAHAHAHAHA"/

The show was like a crime scene. You can't look away but you should avoid being around it if you don't want to have the police talking to you.

Eventually, you end up wandering near the residential district. Since there isn't anything that you need around here, you start to turn back. However, orange signs plastering the building catch your attention.
