Catching Victory (A Pokemon Quest)

Introductions
You switch out your pokemon without any incident, though now you're 400 PokeDollars poorer. Now, Joan and Adamantine are in the PC Storage System and Fluffy and Leviathan are with you. After you leave the pokemon center, you let the two new Pokemon out of their pokeballs and meet the rest of the team.
"Everyone, before we go out today, I wanted you to meet Fluffy and Leviathan. Fluffy, Leviathan, this is Neptune, Moondust, Eva, and Philosoraptor" You say as you gesture to the appropriate pokemon as you say their names.
Neptune greets the new arrivals enthusiastically with Eva right behind him. Fluffy simply nods at both of them and returns their greeting. Moondust waves from a few feet away And Philosoraptor just keeps her distance. She mutters something, but keeps staring at the ground.
Eva makes a grunting sound and calls Philosoraptor over, but Philosoraptor just mutters something. Annoyed, Eva's eyes begin to glow.
"Hey, wait!!" You cry out, trying to keep things from turning violent as Philosoraptor's body begins to glow as well.
Philosoraptor is yanked from her spot and brought right beside Eva. She then puts an arm around the bird Pokemon and introduces her to Fluffly and Leviathan.
Fluffy chuckles and greets Philosoraptor. Philosoraptor, without the wall that distance takes a deep breath and speaks clearly, even looking Fluffy in the eye.
Leviathan... honestly doesn't do much. He has the same blank expression on her face the entire time and he only moves to jump.
You decide that you're going to carry him in a pokeball when he isn't battling since his only way of moving on his own outside of water involves smacking himself in the face.
"Don't worry. I wasn't going to hurt her." Eva reassures you.
"Just don't do that again." You say. "If Philosoraptor doesn't want to talk to someone, it's her choice."
"Fine..." Eva says.
It looks like your party is getting along so far.
Now, you just need to decide where you're going to go next.

[] Go to the Poke Mart.

- [] Great Ball (600 each)
- [] Potion (300 each)

[] Go to the Museum. (Closed)
[] Go to the Safari Zone.
[] Walk around the town and talk to people.
[] Look for Pokemon around Route 303.
[] Train your pokemon against the ones in Route 303.
[] Look for trainers on Route 303.
[] Go to the Midnight Mansion
- [] Keep to the exterior.
- [] Go inside
[] Go to the Onega Town Pokemon Gym.

You take your pokemon out in order to train them against the wild ones there. Since Leviathan can't attack, you're going to have to have the rest of your pokemon help him. It'll take away from their own training, but when
Neptune barely comes out ahead in his training between the electric pokemon attacking him when he's in the lead and helping Leviathan.
Moondust gets ambushed by a Ponyta early into his training. He still managed to survive, and even win the battle. Though he did laugh a little too much when he beat the Ponyta...
But he couldn't beat the Ponyta before they shot an Ember at Fluffy. She gets a nasty burn that stays with her throughout her own training.
You don't encounter many dark pokemon on Route 303 when you're training Eva so she really gets to push herself and her powers.
By the time you're finished training, Leviathan has mastered the art of throwing himself at another pokemon, though you can't say much more than that...
As for Philosoraptor...
"Wow... you really kicked some butt right there, Philo! Nice work." You tell the exhausted bird. A group of five battered and wounded Purrlions served as a trstimate of what Philosoraptor had just fought.
"Starly..." Philosoraptor said in a quiet yet proud manner. It's probably the most confidant you've ever heard her.
"You've been on a roll today. Why don't you rest a while and we can keep it going, alright?"
"Star!" Philosoraptor says, this time even prouder. Her face is practically glowing from happiness.
Then, she actually starts glowing.
Her form starts growing, eventually getting twice as tall. Her feathers and plumage start expanding as well. When the light fades, a newly evolved Staravia stands before you.
"Staravia!" Philosoraptor says proudly.
Looks like this day just got better.

Moondust is slowly but surely becoming fireproof due to being set on fire every day.
That, and he got lucky when I simulated the battle.

Cris and Chris
After you healed your pokemon and stocked up on medicine, you head back to Route 303. It's around 9 and the sun is out, so you're sure to find some trainers to battle.
"Hey! You're Bard, right?" You hear someone say.
You turn around and see a Pokemon Ranger. She's wearing an orange vest several pockets on the outside over a black shirt, as well as a black pair of shorts, orange, knee length boots, and an orange hat with the Pokemon Ranger Symbol on it.
"I saw you on the news this morning!" The Ranger says excitedly.
"I was on the news?" You ask confused.
"Yeah! You took on Team Olympus! It was awesome!" The trainer said. "Wait... you didn't know you were on the news?"
"I... I kinda spent the morning watching Invaders before I left the Pokemon Center..." You admit sheepishly.
"Oh..." The Ranger says, looking just a little disappointed. "Still, you were pretty good! You..." The Ranger looks around, as if realizing that she had forgotten something. "Wait a minute..." She says to you before turning to some nearby trees. "Hey Chris! Get your butt out here!"
Another Ranger comes out from behind the trees. He is dressed similarly to the first Ranger, though he wears a pair of cargo pants instead of shorts.
"Sorry about that" The first Ranger says to you. "We're supposed to be partners but he doesn't always follow me. It's... kinda weird. We're supposed to stick together and..."
"I know, Cris, I know" Chris says.
"So, wait, you're both named Chris?" You ask.
"Mine's without the 'h'" Cris explains. "I think our boss has a sense of humor."
"Anyway..." Chris interrupts. "Things are pretty clear around here. How about a quick battle?" Chris asks.
"Sounds good to me." You say.
"Great!" Cris says. "So, how do you want to do this?"

[] Double Battle

"Sounds good to me." Cris says. "What about you?" She asks her partner.
"Ready for action!" Chris says.

You hear a variety of cheers from your team. They look as ready as you are.

You realize that a 1v1v2 is effectively a 2v2 but with unnecessary almost-rules, right? The thought that they aren't going to team up to fight our two is a fool's hope.
Were it 1v1v1, I could almost see it working, but not with it skewed the way it is, nor with the ridiculousness of the idea in the first place.
