Please don't dismiss the Fabricator General's Private Police, they may not have the same influence as they will in the GC and afterward but they are still the Private Police.

Edit: Malagra's, aka Judicators, are the police force of a Forge World, and so they have the influence of such, and the corruption (Mudane) of such.
Now I don't really know or have experience with police forces, but let me tell you that not being on at least speaking terms with some of them is not good when someone bribes one of them. You have schemers (Mudane ones... for now) around you that want to take you down a peg or two.
I'm going to be a dissenting vote here. Better protection for archives is definitely good, but the sooner the Mechanicum can build 'smarter' systems, the better.
Not only does it avert the horrifying servitors and absurd lack of automation of 40k, but it also removes a big 'soft' cap to innovation and expansion.
Okay, RL has come knocking on my door and I have something to do later. So I will be closing the vote now and give you the chapter early.
May the Machine God bless your computers.

[X] Security Pacts: Protection of Sacred Knowledge
After three long decades of intense labor, ceaseless devotion, and precise craftsmanship, the Ephemeralis Astra Castellum now hung in the void above Mars like a glimmering shard of the Machine God's divine will. The Empyric Engiseers, with their unrelenting thirst for knowledge, had finally completed their greatest feat yet—a space station that would become a focal point for their exploration into the mysteries of the Warp and its interaction with the sacred Machine Spirits.
The Empyric Research Station, as it was known formally, was unlike any other structure in the Martian dominion. Its towering spires and reinforced battlements stood tall and proud against the backdrop of endless space, as if daring the Warp's influence to approach. Its design reflected the Empyric Engiseers' distinct philosophy, combining the forged precision of the Mechanicum with the mystical, ritualistic nature of the Warp. Vast domes housed powerful Gellar Fields and Wards, while the interior of the station was a labyrinth of research vaults, bio-domes for forbidden experiments, and heavily warded vaults to hold the unknown horrors they hoped to unlock.
Now, the station was fully operational, its machine spirits consecrated by rituals that reverberated through every steel wall and metallic hallway. Upon its completion, the Empyric Engiseers bestowed it with the sacred name Ephemeralis Astra Castellum—an apt title, as this would be a place where fleeting, forbidden glimpses into the nature of the Empyrean would be made solid through the will of the Machine God.

On the day of its consecration, the senior Magi Ætheric gathered in the primary control chamber, a massive rotunda at the heart of the station. Archmagos Arthek Valen, draped in flowing crimson robes with glimmering silver circuitry embedded throughout his frame, stood at the center of the gathering. His voice, mechanically amplified, echoed through the station's communication relays, reaching every chamber and every servitor stationed within the vast structure.
"Ephemeralis Astra Castellum," he intoned, "you are no longer merely a construct of steel and circuitry. You are the beacon of Mars' divine will, a bastion of knowledge and fortitude, where the darkness of the Warp will find itself laid bare and broken before the Machine God's light."
The other Magi Ætheric raised their hands in unison, murmuring prayers and litanies of activation as the resonance fields surrounding the station pulsed with energy. The Wards, meticulously etched into the very skin of the station's walls, glowed faintly as if answering the call of the Machine God. Massive turbines turned, generating a hum that reverberated like a deep, resounding chant across the structure. You Have 3 [Three] Actions. [ ] [General] Expand the Castellum
The Ephemeralis Astra Castellum, already a beacon of knowledge and defense, can evolve into an even greater citadel of power and discovery.

[ ] [General] Forge Alliances (Who?)
Now that our faction has the respect of Mars' other Tech-Priests, the opportunity to forge alliances with influential Mechanicum factions presents itself.
[ ] [Military] Conquering the Terrors Beneath Mars
By the Will of the Machine God. Into the Depths of Mars.
[ ] [Military] Integrate Battle-Automata
The Empyric EngiSeers gain elite, hardened military support in critical times, ensuring the survival of their facilities in areas prone to Warp breaches or demonic incursions.
[ ] [Research] Enhance the Wards' Capabilities
Currently, the Wards are powerful, but they are also fragile and limited in scope. Further research could yield advancements in durability, range, and flexibility.
[ ] [Research] The Question of the Machine Soul
The Wards, as they stand, protect the spiritual aspect of the sacred Machine that reside within the vast array of Mechanicum technology. With the Magi Ætheric possessing this groundbreaking ability, the potential for greater communion with the Machine Spirit becomes tantalizingly within reach.

[ ] [Research] Develop New Warp-Related Technologies
The Warp Drive and Gellar Field are merely the first steps in the exploitation of Warp energies. With the Ephemeralis Astra Castellum built, the Magi Ætheric can now seek to develop new machines, perhaps even ships, that interact directly with the Warp in novel ways within a... safe-ish environment.
Here is my suggestion. I don't know how primitive the Automata is. It could be a huge risk of possession so I thought a military base will help us instead. Prep to go under Mars. Also we need the fundamentals down first.

I assume this is for psi-resonant materials like Lorelei, Auramite or Noctilith? Presumably nothing near those levels for this initial research but that kind of thing?
