Breath of the Wild: The Aftermath of the Calamity (CK2 MP Strategy)

What day of the week do you think that turns should begin/end?

Possibly Lorule or Holodrum.

Do you need any info on either country to complete your decision?

Though, if you are looking for which country would be more beneficial to the game as a whole, I'm looking for a player for Holodrum more than I am for Lorule, simply because that one has more potential to be a larger player in the game than Lorule does.

I was able to learn some about each nation through some searches but any more info for either of them would be appreciated.

I'm in as Faron, but before we start, I have a few questions.

First, will I be playing as a completely pre-made character, or will I be using the Ruler Designer to modify him?

Second, why is Faron also called "Lurelin" on the map?

Third, would you mind showing me what my character's dynasty currently looks like?

  1. You may use the Ruler Designer to modify him, as well as your council. However, your leader should be reminiscent of the leader he is based on (in this case, Rozel, the elder of Lurelin village.
  2. Faron is also called "Lurelin" because the Faron Region contains Lurelin Village, and, thus, Lurelin Village is the capital of the Faron region.
  3. How far back do you want his dynasty to go?

I haven't played Breath of the Wild, so I have no idea what traits I'll need to have and what traits I can't. Would you mind telling me in a PM?

As for the dynasty, I was only wondering about the ones currently relevant (any living parents? A wife? Children?). If there aren't any, then nevermind that.

PM has been sent.

Added a format for character sheets as well as an addendum to the Character Birth and Death section to include the mechanics for healing the wounded signified by the "Wounded" trait.

Yep, but we still need someone to be Spritia before the GM will start.

My current plan is to try and find a player for Spiritia over the next week. If I don't find one, then I temporarily play as Spiritia and start the game on Sunday, November 5th (since the result of the poll is that we should start/end turns on Sunday).

So, by this time, if you haven't already done it, you should finish the character sheets for your leader and council members and you should come up with actions* that you will take during Turn 1.

*Specifically for vassal leaders: You should decide on what your attitude towards your liege is going to be.

Added a section to the Story Points section about Spiritia.

I also changed the mechanics for how turns work in the Google Doc. Please go and check that out at your earliest convenience.

Not joining game play. Making observation, and querying about potential use mechanic.

Just recently read the inspiration quest for your initial and current attempts. Noted... oddity in a game item, and it's use.

Item, The Royal Ocarina (of Time); stated purpose one reroll on botched roll (I think per turn). Stated limitation, "In Case of End of World, play Song of Time." Implemented use, non critical project failures, marriage break up, diplomacy screw ups. One critical failure of major magical project.

Given precedent, OoT should have constituted "Plot Armor" for "King Link", and many, many other bad rolls.

(Poster acknowledges original QM's poor quest details management, and apparent weariness with obvious quest ending with "King Link's" death, and Queen's defeat in battle montage.)

Querry: If OoT available, SoT available; +1 reroll? or just "Plot Armor" for important characters?

The quest that you are mentioning was not my quest; it was just the inspiration for mine. As for the Ocarina, if the instrument is found, it is useless without any songs. The country would also need to find the songs to use with it. I will speak more about what individual songs will do if we ever get to that point.

:eyebrow: *Rereads own post* Okay, mentioned it was someone else's quest... yeah, and mentioned digging up the Song of Time. ... And that you don't want to spoil future game play is okay, but you could have just responded (in total) with "Spoilers. ;)"

Though, I suppose my previous post was a bit fragmented. To be fair so was my thoughts on how to convey and inquire about the items and their use. Mostly in part because I really wanted to rant about that other QM's habits and reasons for killing off their own quest in the rudest way to the players that they could. And as such couldn't think of a way to separate examples of said items, from ranting about said QM.

so you less wanted a answer to the question and more wanted to be agreed with about how badly that was handled?

Not consciously(?):???:

I mean, I was asking how the Ocarina of Time, when using the Song of Time, would be handled. But at the same time I was still more focused on my irritation at the original quest, and that QM's bungling of it when they got bored with it. So~ it may have come out as a inquest of opinion, but it was meant to be a question of item(s) presence, function, and story use.

Personally I would say that all the leaders have been blessed to remember everything that happened before the Ocarina was used to change it. So that it can't really be used in a battle or duel.

But thats up to the big man.
