Uh, quick question. When are the turn 4 results going up? I don't think I ever got them...

Titles for the Heroes
Something that I just thought of: I thought that I would put a quick clarification on to the Hero titles for each specific Link that has existed in this continuity, so that if we don't get confused if you simply say "Link". The following list will contain what each Hero should be called if you refer to them and what game they were from:
  • The Hero in Red/ The Original Hero: the Link from the Skyward Sword manga located at the end of Hyrule Historia (see my profile picture)
  • The Hero of the Sky: the Link from Skyward Sword
  • The Hero of the Four Sword: the Link from The Minish Cap and Four Swords
  • The Hero of Time: the Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask
    • This Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule and Termina.
  • The Hero of Legend: the Link from A Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and Link's Awakening
    • This Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule, Lorule*, Holodrum, Labrynna, and Arcadia.
    • *because I find it kind of silly to say that there's a big difference between The Dark World and Lorule.
  • The Hero of Dimensions: the Link from A Link Between Worlds and Triforce Heroes
    • The Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule, Lorule, and Hytopia (when and if it is introduced to the game).
  • The Hero of Winds: the Link from The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass
    • This hero was the son of a Hyrulean trader born on Outset Island in Arcadia. An accomplished sailor, he spent the majority of his life assisting the powerful Arcadian and Hyrulean navies in driving off the sea-roaming demons that the remnants of Ganon's spirit had summoned. His exodus to retrieve the Master Sword caused him to prevent an aspect of Ganon from entering the Tomb of the Hero of Time.
    • This is the only hero to have visited every country in the known world.
  • The Hero of Spirits: the Link from Spirit Tracks
    • This is the only hero to not perform heroic acts in Hyrule. He was born in Hyrule, but lived the majority of his life and stopped a threat within Spiritia.
  • The Hero of Twilight: the Link from Twilight Princess
    • The Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule and the Twilight Realm (when and if it is introduced to the game).
  • The Hero of the Inquisition: the Link from Four Swords Adventures
  • The Hero of Restoration: the Link from The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
    • This is the most recent Link to exist, and is the one referred in Impa's story telling of when the Guardians were first utilized to defeat Ganon. (In my eyes, the Magical Sword from The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II is the Master Sword.)
    • Impa's story:
  • The Champion of Hyrule (or simply "Link"): The Link from Breath of the Wild and the one that is currently alive in our game

Why's the four swords adventure one called "Hero of the Inquisition"? I played FSA, and I don't remember anything in there that struck me as Inquisitorial.

I couldn't think of a good name, and I didn't want to reuse something related to the Four Sword. I said the "Inquisition" because Vaati is a wizard and in my mind Inquisitors would want to ensure the oppression of wizards.

Ah, I see. And yes, The Inquisition is exactly who you want to call when there's an evil witch or wizard on the loose. Too bad the Labrynnian Inquisition was [REDACTED] when [REDACTED] found out that they had discovered [REDACTED] and were planning to [REDACTED]. Those, poor, brave men and women... We can't even mourn them properly, seeing as most of them only used codenames.

Which, by the way, if anyone has a cooler or more appropriate name for any of these heroes, let me know. I agree that some of these are kind of dumb, "The Hero of the Inquisition" being one of them.

I will probably also update that threadmark at some point with all of the previous Zeldas.

On this subject, every instance of Ganon/Ganondorf is the same entity from Ocarina of Time on in this continuity, having being reincarnated/resurrected several times. It is the general belief of the people in this world that he has finally been eradicated at the end of Breath of the Wild.

End of Turn 4/ Beginning of Turn 5 (NG+)
Everyone has turn in their actions and, as such, Turn 4 has ended. Turn 5 actions will be due on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018. The turn will end on Saturday, February 10th, 2018.

A heads-up for those of you who didn't see it, Lorule is no longer an NPC nation. Starting in Turn 5, it will be controlled by @TheMaskedReader.

The following are pieces of information that every major ruler could find out easily either by official channels or simply through hearsay.

First Contacts and Major Diplomacy
  • Hyrule and Termina have made first contact. They have agreed to both a non-agression pact and a trade deal, but talks of a military alliance were brewing as well.
  • Holodrum has honored its trade agreement with Arcadia with a shipment of Gasha seeds.
  • Arcadia and Spiritia have made first contact. They have signed a trade deal.
Other Major News
  • The Hero of Time has revealed himself! In Princess Zelda's court, the spirit of the Hero of Time spoke to the delegation through the body of Link, the current hero.
  • Termina has built a gigantic wall along its western border.
  • The political climate is tense in Labrynna as the country prepares for its Prime Minister election next year. Oscar Plen is the incumbent for the Autarkists party, but running against him are Jonathon Lately of the Cooperativists Party (an accomplish Labrynnan war hero) and Ralphonso Ambi of the Royalists Party (the descendent and would-be heir to the throne of Queen Ambi, the last monarch of Labrynna).
  • Spiritia has begun an advertisement campaign for tourism, inviting people from all over the world to marvel at the beauty of the land of Spiritia as well as the convenience of travel by steam locomotive.
  • The Anti-Slavery Force put in place by Arcadia has found its first slave ship... and it was carrying a group of Gorons that were originally from Snowhead in Termina. As of this moment, the Gorons are in the care of the Arcadian government.

Turn 4 Player Wealth Leaderboard (#1 is the Wealthiest Nation)
  1. Lorule
  2. Arcadia
  3. Labrynna
  4. Spiritia
  5. Holodrum
  6. Hyrule
  7. Termina

That's weird. Isn't their western boarder against the sea?

So he does exist here.

Update on Turn 4 ending. Hyrule and Termina have agreed to form their military alliance. Any wars that one of these nations is involved in, the other one may involve themselves without needing a casus belli. The official name for this faction is the East-West Alliance.

(If you need a reference, the military alliances will function like factions do in Hearts of Iron IV.)

He's talking about Jonathon Lately, a character from the original Zelda Dynasty quest. I carried him over to this one.
His stats aren't quite as insane in this version, and he sure as hell isn't going to be getting into duels with Link any time soon, but I did my best when creating him to carry the spirit of the original.

His diplomacy stat is only 1 point worse than Plen's, despite him having only the most basic diplomacy education, and it would have equal if I hadn't dropped Diligent in order to get his age down. Still boggling over how I managed that.

Hey I am new to rp quests like this, would it be preferred that I read through the events that have already occured, and what are the requirements to join?

Hi; I just noticed that you commented here, so I apologize for not getting to you earlier.
  • It would probably be wise to look through the Turn Summaries (threadmarks), the Informational pages, as well as the Google Doc with the mechanics listed (a link is provided on the first page). We are currently in the middle of Turn 5.
  • There are no requirements to join, though knowledge of the lore of The Legend of Zelda and/or of the mechanics of Crusader Kings II is preferred.
  • Currently, all of the major countries are full, but you have three options that you can consider if you want to join:
    • The player for Hyrule, @JAGwin, is looking for a new co-player. The reason why he can explain to you in a private conversation if you are interested.
    • You can play as another major country and I can add it to the map. Some options from the Zelda series that haven't been used yet are Calatia from the comics and Hytopia from The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes.
    • You can play as a vassal to an already existing country. Please examine the mechanics for vassalage in the Google Doc if you are interested in this route.
Time requirements: Every two weeks, you will need to submit an action list detailing what your country in going to be accomplishing during each turn; they are due the Saturday of the first week of each turn. You will also need to initiate in diplomacy in a private conversation if you decide to perform diplomacy with another player nation. If you choose the co-player for Hyrule option, these requirements will be split between you and JAGwin.

General question: Do you think it would be useful to start a Discord channel for this game, or do you think it would just confuse things?

It would probably just confuse things. Although, I primarily use discord for... NSFW activities, so I might be biased in this regard.
