End of Turn 3/Beginning of Turn 4 (NG+)
Everyone has turn in their actions and, as such, Turn 3 has ended. Turn 4 actions will be due on Saturday, January 20th, 2018. As we discussed earlier, starting in Turn 4, turns will be two weeks long: so the turn will end on January 27th, 2018.

The following are pieces of information that every major ruler could find out easily either by official channels or simply through hearsay.

First Contacts and Major Diplomacy
  • Hyrule and Arcadia have signed a non-aggression pact.
  • Arcadia and Holodrum initiated a trade agreement.
  • Termina and Lorule signed a non-aggression pact. Termina has proposed a matrilineal marriage between Princess Hilda of Lorule and Kafei, son of Termina's Mayor Dotour, but the proposal was rejected.
Other Major News
  • Rumors circulate that the tomb of the Hero of Time was infiltrated and something precious was taken from there.
  • Mayor Dotour and his wife, Aroma, welcome their daughter, Alma, into the world!
  • Arcadia has initiated an Anti-Slavery task force to stop the transportation of monster slaves through the Sea of Arcadia.
  • The former lair of the Moblin Lord Greasus with Labrynna has been cleared of monster activity by the armies of Field Marshal Hedgefield.
  • Hyrule Castle has been cleared of monster activity by the Hyrulian armies led by Commander Link.

Titles for the Heroes
Something that I just thought of: I thought that I would put a quick clarification on to the Hero titles for each specific Link that has existed in this continuity, so that if we don't get confused if you simply say "Link". The following list will contain what each Hero should be called if you refer to them and what game they were from:
  • The Hero in Red/ The Original Hero: the Link from the Skyward Sword manga located at the end of Hyrule Historia (see my profile picture)
  • The Hero of the Sky: the Link from Skyward Sword
  • The Hero of the Four Sword: the Link from The Minish Cap and Four Swords
  • The Hero of Time: the Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask
    • This Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule and Termina.
  • The Hero of Legend: the Link from A Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and Link's Awakening
    • This Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule, Lorule*, Holodrum, Labrynna, and Arcadia.
    • *because I find it kind of silly to say that there's a big difference between The Dark World and Lorule.
  • The Hero of Dimensions: the Link from A Link Between Worlds and Triforce Heroes
    • The Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule, Lorule, and Hytopia (when and if it is introduced to the game).
  • The Hero of Winds: the Link from The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass
    • This hero was the son of a Hyrulean trader born on Outset Island in Arcadia. An accomplished sailor, he spent the majority of his life assisting the powerful Arcadian and Hyrulean navies in driving off the sea-roaming demons that the remnants of Ganon's spirit had summoned. His exodus to retrieve the Master Sword caused him to prevent an aspect of Ganon from entering the Tomb of the Hero of Time.
    • This is the only hero to have visited every country in the known world.
  • The Hero of Spirits: the Link from Spirit Tracks
    • This is the only hero to not perform heroic acts in Hyrule. He was born in Hyrule, but lived the majority of his life and stopped a threat within Spiritia.
  • The Hero of Twilight: the Link from Twilight Princess
    • The Hero has visited, and is well known in, Hyrule and the Twilight Realm (when and if it is introduced to the game).
  • The Hero of the Inquisition: the Link from Four Swords Adventures
  • The Hero of Restoration: the Link from The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
    • This is the most recent Link to exist, and is the one referred in Impa's story telling of when the Guardians were first utilized to defeat Ganon. (In my eyes, the Magical Sword from The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II is the Master Sword.)
    • Impa's story:
  • The Champion of Hyrule (or simply "Link"): The Link from Breath of the Wild and the one that is currently alive in our game

End of Turn 4/ Beginning of Turn 5 (NG+)
Everyone has turn in their actions and, as such, Turn 4 has ended. Turn 5 actions will be due on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018. The turn will end on Saturday, February 10th, 2018.

A heads-up for those of you who didn't see it, Lorule is no longer an NPC nation. Starting in Turn 5, it will be controlled by @TheMaskedReader.

The following are pieces of information that every major ruler could find out easily either by official channels or simply through hearsay.

First Contacts and Major Diplomacy
  • Hyrule and Termina have made first contact. They have agreed to both a non-agression pact and a trade deal, but talks of a military alliance were brewing as well.
  • Holodrum has honored its trade agreement with Arcadia with a shipment of Gasha seeds.
  • Arcadia and Spiritia have made first contact. They have signed a trade deal.
Other Major News
  • The Hero of Time has revealed himself! In Princess Zelda's court, the spirit of the Hero of Time spoke to the delegation through the body of Link, the current hero.
  • Termina has built a gigantic wall along its western border.
  • The political climate is tense in Labrynna as the country prepares for its Prime Minister election next year. Oscar Plen is the incumbent for the Autarkists party, but running against him are Jonathon Lately of the Cooperativists Party (an accomplish Labrynnan war hero) and Ralphonso Ambi of the Royalists Party (the descendent and would-be heir to the throne of Queen Ambi, the last monarch of Labrynna).
  • Spiritia has begun an advertisement campaign for tourism, inviting people from all over the world to marvel at the beauty of the land of Spiritia as well as the convenience of travel by steam locomotive.
  • The Anti-Slavery Force put in place by Arcadia has found its first slave ship... and it was carrying a group of Gorons that were originally from Snowhead in Termina. As of this moment, the Gorons are in the care of the Arcadian government.

Everyone has turn in their actions and, as such, Turn 5 has ended. Turn 6 actions will be due on Saturday, February 17th, 2018. The turn will end on Saturday, February 24th, 2018. However, I may be a little bit late posting the summary that weekend as it is my brother's birthday and I will be leaving town to go celebrate with him.

A heads-up for those of you who didn't see it, we have two new nations in the fray. Starting in Turn 6, we have the Twilight Realm played by @ErraticWizard and Xiaodao played by @SalvaW.

The following are pieces of information that every major ruler could find out easily either by official channels or simply through hearsay.

  • Arcadia and Lorule have made first contact and signed a trade deal.
  • Arcadia and Lorule have joined the East-West Alliance along with Hyrule and Termina.

  • Hyrule and Lorule have made first contact. They have signed a trade deal.
Other Major News
  • The Prime Minister election in Labrynna has been completed! After a decade in office, Prime Minister Oscar Plen of the Autarkists Party has been unseated. In his place sits Jonathon Coombs Lately of the Cooperativists Party. Also running as a third party candidate was Ralphonso Ambi of the Royalists Party.
  • Queen Zelda of Hyrule has married Link, the hero who sealed Ganon away.
  • King East Kingswood of Arcadia has married Avalon.
  • The Empire of Xiaodao has once again reentered the political climate. It is lead by Emperor Shian Chen, descendent of the "Great Prophet" that lead his people from the Western Continent to Xiaodao during the Great Calamity.
  • Spiritia has put out tourism advertisements in the Western Continent. It is up to the leaders of the countries in the western continent as to whether they wish to allow their citizens to take up that offer.

Artifact Properties (Ward Save)
Something that I wanted to mention to you guys that aren't on the Discord server: All of the artifacts that you guys will find through actions will provide some kind of benefit. If this artifact is meant to be used in battle, it will usually provide some kind of bonus to the character's Personal Combat Score, which is implemented when a character duels another.

However, something @bdun140 and I discussed was giving some artifacts a new power called a Ward Save. As some of you may know, the degree to which someone loses a battle determines how severe the consequences will be for that character, while they come out with a minor wound to whether they outright die. A Ward Save makes a character's loss less severe.

It is calculated like this: Suppose Characters A and B are dueling, and Character A loses the roll (i.e. rolls a higher number than Character B). The ward save reduces the differences between B and A by W(B - A), where W is the percentage by which the ward save protects you:

Example: Character A rolls a 60 and Character B rolls a 40. Character B wins the fight, but Character A has a necklace that gives a 25% ward save.
.25(60 - 40) = .25(20) = 5. So the loss is now by 15 points instead of 20 points, causing Character A to suffer a less severe injury.

Potential Hiatus
Hey, guys,

It pains me to do this, especially since we just added two new awesome players, but I believe I may need to put the game on another hiatus. Things have just been getting way too hectic IRL. I was really looking forward to seeing how things would turn out after the Labrynnan Prime Minister elections, the establishment of the East-West Alliance, and the marriages of Princess Hilda, Princess Zelda, and Lord Kingswood, but with 9 players, this game just takes up too much of my time to be a viable use for it at the moment.

And for that, I am truly sorry.

I encourage you all to continue to keep up with each other and discussing lore over the Discord, as the likelihood is high that I will come back as my schedule frees up. In addition, I have started streaming on Twitch to try and make some additional income for school. If you guys would be willing to come out and support it, that would be greatly appreciated. The link will be provided in the Discord, but if any non-Discord players would also like to watch, I will send you a link in your PM conversation.

You guys have been awesome, and I feel bad that I have to put you through this again. The only reason I kept it up so long was because of you guys.

Thank you,
Algernonab
