Battle of Yamatau Finale: The End of The Battle
Vasily screamed in anger as he cut down another one of the horsemen attacking him. He did not care that his entire body was soaked in blood. He did not notice the cuts and bruises on his hands. He wanted… No, needed to kill them. It was like he was a man in the desert dying of thirst, and he had just found a spring that would save him, and he was gorging on the water, not just to save himself, but to taste something he felt deprived of his entire life.
Victory. Complete and total victory for his people.
But all great things had a cost. He was tired, the sun was starting to slip behind oncoming clouds, and the mountains behind him. He didn't remember when it was Zima nearly got hurt or when the battle had started. His thoughts were only on the moment, on the battle. He barked orders to his men, encouraged them to keep fighting. The only thing keeping him going was his rage, and unstoppable drive to kill.
But the rage was starting to die down, overtaken by exhaustion. He wanted to carry on the fight, but he could not chase the fleeing Mongols on foot. A moment later, he saw a sea of red and lost consciousness.

Fulk was not very happy to be following this woman's order. It wasn't because she wasn't bad at strategy, far from it in fact. If he had the chance to talk to her after the battle, he would have enjoyed talking to her about how the hell she managed to keep such a massive group of calvary in a cohesive formation, charge en-mass against a larger group of calvary, and not only break through it, but also keep such order to rescue him and his men with minimal casualties.
No, the reason he was not happy was that she was not trained in proper Imperial Signals for orders, and she was relying entirely on her voice to carry her orders through her ranks and his own. For the love of god, it was perhaps the most basic training that any imperial officer could get trained in…
And then Fulk remembered that Vasily did not have any signals delivering members in his army either.
Good lord, Fulk wanted to stop the battle now and get Vasily to remember that a good general must always be in communication with the rest of his men and commanders so that they would not lose control. Particularly by reminding Vasily that he is a general in the IMPERIAL ARMY and that the army had a reputation to keep!
"CHARGE!" Princess Zima's voice carried through the air, and her horses started to chase the fleeing Mongols.
But Fulk could chew that young prince out after the battle. Right now he had some Mongols to take revenge on.

Basilius kept moving his feet, blocking enemy attacks with his shield and killing them with his sword.
The battle seemed to go on forever, he had just noticed that the sun seemed to set below the mountains. He could hardly see it, but the sky seemed to turn a shade of red. A sea of red.
Then he saw that sea of red crash into the enemy's right flank.
He did not know who it was leading the charge, but he could make a wager.
"Keep pushing!" He shouted as he broke into a run, breaking formation. A moment later, his men followed him.
They had enemies to kill after all. And Basilius was paying out the bonuses by the head.

(POV Change: Vasily POV)
You awoke to Zima placing a cold towel over your head. "What happened?" you asked.
Zima huffed. "You ran yourself into exhaustion, silly husband. We found you surrounded by over two hundred Mongol corpses."
You felt your face twitch into a smile for a moment before you noticed General Fulk walk in. "You're awake."
"General…" You sat up, but the towel fell down onto your lap. "I take it we won?"
"Yes," Fulk replied. "We've taken prisoners, though a few of the enemy were able to escape before they surrendered."
"Good." You replied. "I'm going to rest for a few-" You stopped talking when Fulk came over to you and smacked you on the head. "OW! What the hell!"
"We need to talk." Fulk replied.
"I'm listening." you stated with a glare, rubbing the back of your head.
"We need to do something about the prisoners."
That made you raise an eyebrow. "What would you do with them?"
"My men are weak from the siege, and we need labor. We'll have time to plant, but I do not think we will be able to feed everyone if you stay." Fulk stated. "Or we could release them with nothing but the clothes on their back and be done with them... Though they could get back to their army and regroup, and I don't want that to happen."
"Why not kill them?" You asked, which made Fulk's face turn pale. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
"Kill them," Fulk stated. "Do you know what that would do to your reputation?"
"Should I care?" You asked. "They're Mongols? Savages that have been raiding and destroying my people's lands and homes for centuries."
"The other steppe tribes, tribes that could be your allies, might be able to meet with you." Fulk cautioned.
Alright... No, you needed to think.
What do you do:
[]Labor: Fulk needs the labor to repair his fort, so you'll give it to him. But if you stay, you might not survive the winter. (Supplies next turn will be near critical, but costs for actions next turn will be decreased by 75%)
[]Release them: Let those men face the steppes without their horses. If you're lucky, they'll all die. (No change in the supply situation, Chance for the enemy to regroup.)
[]Ransom Them: Maybe the Khan is willing to negotiate now, since you are in a position of strength, holding his troops hostage. (Begins Peace Conference Miniturn)
[]Execute them: Kill them all. Your father... Your people... your ancestors... You demand blood. (All Diplomacy actions involving the Steppe tribes will be increased by 30)
AN: Enjoy.
