That's exactly why she should be focusing on it, instead of monofocusing on zenjustu. It's not just us helping her with the topic, it's trying to help her find her own specialty instead of following someone elses.

What I am trying to say is that we are trying to help her. It makes more sense to help her in a subject we are good at and she is bad at than vice versa. Why would we try to help her in a subject she may be better than us at?

The vote isn't to try and teach Takako something. It's to take part of the academy's curriculum and work with her on it for a while. So, less like playing tutor, and more working on homework with a friend style of thing. So, bouncing ideas back and forth, and commenting on each others work. Ichigo has been practicing his skills and studying solo outside class it seems, so this is a bit of a change to help a friend.

That's...probably not actually true. Whilst Marechiyo does kind of act dumber than he is to get people to underestimate him it uh, isn't by much. He genuinely is kind of a moron.
The Omaeda family seem to be pretty big-boned on the whole, so it looks like Takako is the stick thin exception.

I don't think continuing to ram her head into the Zanjutsu wall is going to help. If he were helping her meditate and contact her zanpaktou, maybe, but given she seems to be mainly doing focusing on zanjutsu to try and match up to her family I don't think so.

Kido is tempting, if only because Marechiyo is terrible at Kido so she could see she doesn't have to try and force herself into a mold and she can do her own thing.
