I concur with veekie. It's always good to understand fundamentals before going into more advanced items. It not only helps us with the higher grade research, but also gives us more options.

We'd be learning Circle Magic. We have no idea if that's even related to the magic related to the Wishing Stones.

Do you think a single week of studying a single type of magic will help with creating magical wish devices that might operate on an entirely different kind of magic?

Actually yes.

While it may very well be possible that circle magic and wish magic are not directly related, we may find some recurring elements that would make the process easier. Having a broader set of reference can only help us here. If nothing else, it's a good idea to practice magical research methodology with simpler topics before jumping headfirst into advanced ones.
 
Aside from all of this, waiting another turn means there is more time for people to write Omakes and rack up the possible bonus we can throw at it. :V

Assuming that that even was the case, it's not going to bump the chance of success by a whopping 30%, 5-10% at most if we're lucky. And while 80% is obviously better than 70%, if we wanted an extra 10% we could just throw another omake bonus at it. I don't consider such a small increase worth waiting an extra turn.

We're not exactly hurting for omake bonuses right now, so I'm not seeing how it would change things.
 
Waiting anouther turn also risks us being pulled into a war with no troops available.

This is a guess. You have no proof that learning circle magic is related to our wish granting stone. If we don't get a bonus we'll have wasted a turn that we could have used to recruit.

We've been stocking up on omakes specifically for this vote. Our chances of failing it are basically Zero. Let's just hurry up and get it over with.

Ah, sorry for that. I keep forgetting that the ":V" smiley means people are not being serious. First time I was introduced to it, people just used it to replace the normal laughing smiley, which can mean anything really....
 
Ultimately, this is coming down to advanced research now or later. Both choices will have benefits as well as risks, we will have to live with them. The best we can do now is vote and see how it plays out.

yes i know but grammar has always been my greatest enemy next to the dreaded stairs.

Edit: seriously for my english class in highschool we just read books im great at that but for writing papers and such we didn't do anything.

So I've been going trademark to threadmark and looking at what we can do with ebon energy and notice our okay stewardship and our healing and the weird way that energy is balanced.
so who has plans to go legit and build up power?

Everyone has some magic and emotional energy and magic to ebons translates strongly with a life energy edge. Couldn't we open up a spa or someting? Bring people in drain their magic and negative energy convert a bit to life and reinject with treatment? Send them out feeling better and paying us.

That's probably far down the line and increasing our minions ability to net work.

though taking over one of the Youma gangs nad reforming them sounds usefull.


Also when can we sell more trinkets to Christopher?
And will we start having thing guard our friends.

Why didn't we think of this sooner? We could use this to get money AND energy! We'll need some setup and marketing, sure, but it's a rock solid idea!
 
We also need to make sure we have a strong diplomatic front. To keep random magical girls from wondering and ruining our stuff.
 
going legit and our family will be proud we have our own business might have to let sister work there and be absolutely sure its safe and cant be detected by literally everyone cause ninjas magical girls mages exorcists and probably cthulhu around the corner is in this town.
 
We make a new front Id for the spa. And bring our friends for a tune up.

Hn. Maybe get Atticus to make sublte gear for our human clone when he stumbles into yet another of our friends hijinks.
