[X] [After school] Explore Little Whinging- Have bicycle, will ride it!

Eh, we will do the homeworks tomorrow.

Also, the puns are bad and you should feel bad :p

third, this is an irrelevant argument. Him not blaming us and forgiving us has nothing to do with being a counter argument to what I said. If we break him and he ends up not being capable of heroics and goes to hufflepuff instead? or what if he gives into the dark side and goes to slytherin? him forgiving dudley after a year in slytherin will do jack to undo this
Do you really a think a few more weeks of bullying will break Harry? Moreover who cares? We're not in a position that Voldemort is an insurmountable existence.

That being said no apologies to Harry unless he saves us!

Is @Vindictus going for plans or the 3 top voted choices in each category?
Top three choices seems more fair.

I mean, let's say half the voters want something that includes Option X, but none of the plans that include this option gets more then a couple votes. This means that despite being something half the voters want, in a 'Top Plan' vote structure it will loose against Plan A, which is only supported by one out of ten voters.

In addition, this would leave voters compromising, voting for plans that include things they don't want in exchange for getting one or two things they do want onto the agenda- Whereas if it's approved on a top 3 items basis, then the voters will be encouraged to vote for the set of options they want the most, meaning that the top 3 votes will probably more accurately reflect what the voters want in general.

Or I could be talking out of my ass.

Either way, it's how I'm doing things.

Good to know. I think for this, it's the best way to go about it since it's not like the choices particularly depend on each other.

Seems the winning votes are:
>Recess: Gorden, D&D, Thieves
>After School: Boxing, Homework, Whinging

Dudley was a dick, but we are setting out to be a much bigger dick than dudley ever was, this has consequences.
Also, I am not talking about voldemort, I was talking about harry, I was saying that our different actions will cause a butterfly effect that will cause changes to harry's personality. Heck the slytherine one is not an example of us breaking him but of us hardening him, making him hate us beyond forgiveness and then sending him over to the sharks for a year. In canon harry forgives his family, but canon family is not as abusive as he is voting to try and be.
The idea of "lets be as abusive as possible, way more abusive than canon, then after he is gone for a year to stew on that, we come out and apologize and everything will be rainshine and sunbows"... well, it ain't

I believe that part of Vincent's thesis was that we were most likely going to be able to capable of taking down Voldemort by ourselves - and that therefore Harry's long-term ability to function socially and psychologically as anything other than a broken shell was acceptable losses when pursuing the joy that comes from tormenting him. By implication, in his view, Harry's worth as a human being was limited entirely to his ability to save us from power-mad wizards and provide us pleasure through his own suffering. Once the first is (most likely) no longer necessary, on to the second!

I'll note that we *do* still have to survive Hagrid. If the savior of the wizarding world is a broken, sobbing wreck when he shows up he may be displeased, and we don't have but so much time to power up before then.

Personally, I'm fine with ignoring Harry if he's willing to do the same.

Narratively I don't want Dudley to be in Harry's shadow. Even bullying would just subordinate us as being "Harry's Bully". Fuck that.

Here's a shocking idea!

How about Dudley talks to Harry. Like adults should... oh wait.

Okay, then. Maybe something like this: "Hey Freak! I don't know why you care what I do with my time, but I don't give a crap about you, so I leave you alone, you leave me alone. Deal?"

This.
All of this.

It is also why I don't want to go to Hogwarts, because then we'd just still come further under Harry's shadow.

We have to survive Hagrid?
I don't want to end up in Hogwarts, is all.
Let Voldy and the Malfoys and everything else stay there while we go out and do something else.
I will remark, once again, that only holds until Voldemort comes back and decides to subjugate Muggle Britain. We will probably have to face Death Eaters and/or Dementors simply by virtue of having taken in the Boy Who Lived. That was a fact since before the quest's start and we can't change that short of going on an around the world trip, and not going to Hogwarts will barely change that.

Again, I still fail to see what's so bad about any of this. I'm not advocating being enrolled in Hogwarts, I just want interesting interactions with the Wizarding World and our Gamer abilities without people losing their minds every time it is mentioned.

Aren't we invisible to Voldy?
Thanks to the magic available.

Develop a stealth/deception skill, continue training observation, and we can go into diagon alley on our own.
I'm fine with interacting with the wizarding world, long as it's on our terms.

I think we should just ignore Harry and leave him alone, unless he tries to start something with us.

Then we kick his ass.

Like how he confronted us and was reasonably antagonistic with us so we smashed him in the head.

But Harry Hunting is valuable activity that hold our group of friend together.:lolWe should find some new hobby that our friend can work together if we want to avoid Harry Hunting practice thought.

As long as Harry calls it home. But that doesn't stop things related to Voldemort from showing up, like Dolby having been sent by the Malfoys or the Dementor incident 3 years after that.

So am I. Seriously, I'm not in any hurry to find magic this early, and I would even be fine if Harry ended up being the only wizard we regularily interact with. I don't want to force interactions with Harry too much, at least not this early, and am more interested in seeing whether we will redeem Dursley, make him a lovable jock/jerk with a heart of gold, or keeping him as his canon self.

I simply know that discovery of the Wizarding World is going to be an eventuality, otherwise it would just be a quest about Dursley's mostly regular life in nineties Britain. If we ever managed to get skills like being able to resist obliviate, punch ghosts or tame fantastic beasts (like dragons), or anything of that vein would be awesome.
No need for that, mate.

Taming supernatural creatures would be interesting, I'll grant you that...

@Vindictus
Is there any chance to learn how to tame the sort of creatures all fictions is talking about?

Complicated, so many variations. Needed to do quite a bit of manual unification.

While this was directed at Vindictus, to be quite frank, if familiars/animal handling skills aren't a possibility with this version of the Gamer, we'd need a rather good explanation, I think. But you know, even if we couldn't get magical creatures, honestly, if we just got a dog or a cat we could train it to be on the level of a dragon, if we wanted. Because we're just that bullshit.
