Personally, I think the way the votes are counted is a bit unfair.

"What" is fairly unified with no real different sub-choices.

"Sandwich" is a very broad category that has very different, mutually exclusive sub-choices. It gives whatever winning subvote the "Winner takes all" benefit. The Bond vote with 26 votes beating the What vote with about 40 votes isn't that fair IMO. I think it should be split between the "Bond", "Bodysnatcher" and "Punch him" subvotes.

Were Bond a separate vote, "What" would win almost by a landslide.

If everyone on What had the organization & time to do it, we could just switch the vote to "Sandwich" and have our sub-choices be all the "What" ones. Then we'd decisively win. But that would be silly.

Getting dragged near Dumbledore means we get dragged into the rest of the wizarding world.
Which includes such pleasant people as Voldemort, Lucious Malfoy and Cornelius Fudge.
Not to mention most of the Death Eaters.
And the wizarding world has a faction that wanted to declare normal humans as beasts.

DUMBLEDORE might be a good person, but he doesn't really demonstrate a high ability to stop shit from going down (which makes sense, because otherwise there'd be nothing for Harry to do, but this doesn't mean I want to get dragged into it), and the society he lives in is certainly not a good one.

Still seems like unfounded fear mongering. Entering the Wizarding World doesn't mean we have to deal with crazy people all the time and there's no reason to think it's too dangerous for us to survive. If you don't want to go to Hogwarts then fine. Stop making up ridiculous reasons for it though.

Well this raises a question. Two, actually:

@Vindictus will this quest be The Gamer in the harry potter setting, or will it have more elements from The Gamer manwha? Will this be a multi-cross or purely The Gamer/HP?

So, anyway, been a bit distracted by Fallout Shelter and setting up dinner stuffs, but I have some time for writing now. What won? Or was it the Sandwhich?

Death Eaters are a thing.
Lucious Malfoy having so much power shows the wizarding world is pretty damn messed up.
If we join that world, we'd be associated with Harry, which means we'd go through some bad shit.

Eh. I don't think we should make any commitments to (not) getting involved just yet. Particularly since we don't know how much of a crossover this game is.

They're ridiculous because they're not especially threatening to us. Death Eaters are in hiding at this time. They're not walking around killing people left and right. By the time they become a threat we'd be more than prepared to deal with it. You might as well say we're likely say that there's dragons.
How messed up the Wizarding World is? Who Cares? Once again it's not to the point that it bothers us until at least 5th year.
Our association with Harry could be very limited if we want it to. What bad stuff will we go through? People asking us if we can introduce them to him? A lot of the stuff Harry goes through is because he chooses to himself. He founded the DA himself for instance. The very small amount of crap we'd get for being Harry's cousin would be easily managed in most situations. Otherwise that's flavor to the quest.

Remember that this is a british problem. The french for example have

And we could interact with the Wizarding World in the form of the fantastical races and beasts, and the magical world extend well beyond Wizarding Britain, no need to get involved in Wizard politics/Hogwarts-Potter shenanigans before Voldemort actually comes back. Honestly, the fear mongering strikes me as premature and exaggerate. It's a Harry Potter crossover, were people seriously expecting no contact with Magic at all? What would be the point?
