Hopefully this time Pietro can avoid death cult nonsense and instead be paranoid and (maybe) overcautious with a regular bunch of (highly educated) hopeful homesteaders out to settle new land and pay off their debt to the PlanetBase corp.

Well, this colony also went to hell in a hand basket. Something's not right.

Been wondering, could you post close-ups of the different colonists and bots (inclusing that exoskeleton)?

I really want to see Pietro/Bluepencil have something go -right-. Especially since Pietro's had three strike-outs now, while I'm sitting here on my, well...very first attempt -ever- playing Planetbase all

I love how the entrance to the mine in the foreground is facing the wrong way. The entrance is very nearly as far as it could possibly be from the airlocks.

Still haven't replaced my motherboard, but for some mysterious reason it has decided to detect my video card again and I got a whole session of screencaps done. Pietro returns on Thursday next week!

This is why percursive maintenace works. Sometimes, some stuff just shakes loose and needs to be shaken into place again.

There's that power pole I took a photo of before.


The fire is in the clutch of houses just inside this alley, beyond that larger house still with its lights on.


I really don't get why as soon as I work on the Planetbase LP, shit happens IRL. Nothing too terrible happened the last few posts (other the video card borking, but it's been doing that for months now anyway) but earlier this morning I wrote a line "I hope this doesn't end up with everything on fire again"...

What hell, seriously.

As for me, personally - I would be fine if you abandon the whole idea of Planetbase LP and write Mermaid Story instead. It's pretty interesting, and it just got to the point where serious stuff is about to happen.

Are you nuts? This is almost better than listening to the let's play of Dwarf Fortress, Boatmurdered
 
Meh, neither spooky semi-horror, nor people dying en masse are my favourites. A guy falling deeper and deeper into despair is also not a topic I enjoy.

And besides, have you read Merstory? It's not very long, but pretty nice. I might give a more detailed review, but I'll have to take care and avoid the spoilers. Not that there are many... Anyway, Merstory has a definite Seal of Approval.

I mean, this seems to be the most meta let's play ever. First is the ingame horror, then the penguin suffering over the horror he caused, finally there is the story of the transformer which seems to be somehow tied to what the game is doing.
