FInished some of said google docs already if its there I don't think it actually says the upper limit for things. The kerishacks doesn't say the upper limit of artifacts I don't think. But, I guess your right about the shotgunning thing.

I went through kerishacks and all associated links on kerishacks including the really really long demons of the yozis list. Now I'm on to the character sheet and looking at some of the formatting for various sites this is hosted on and discovering how to read stuff and if I'm missing anything by crossreferencing between sites.

Five Calibrations Pass - Water 776 New
The thing I really like about this little diversion of a plot arc is that... Keris says, every time it comes up (and often when it doesn't), that she'd do anything for her children. That her family always comes first. That she prioritises her loved ones above her mission. That if her babies need help, any kind of help, for any reason, at any time, they can call on her and she will come.

But it doesn't get shown much, because, y'know, they're all demon lords. So I do really enjoy it when - as with Vali getting captured by Kalathais, and as with Haneyl now, she gets the chance to put her money where her mouth is. Because Keris has plans for this year. A lot of plans. She wants to beat the Hui Cha back into shape and stop the growing issues in male and female social roles that are developing from becoming problems, she wants to strike at the Dhul Republic and claim a foothold in the Delikado March. All things that require time. Time she has in very short supply.

But now Haneyl needs her. And so she has to make a choice. Which matters more? Her daughter running into trouble, or having to rewrite half her plans for late Air and Water to account for her having to go off and kill an elemental dragon? Will she throw her entire five-month plan into the garbage, or leave her big grown-up demon lord daughter to handle things herself?

Water 776 shows pretty conclusively that her promises aren't just empty talk.

  • Jamahidaya, Wicked Flame and Impure River are on the salt dragon team
  • Jianling and Gageku are dealing with the lesser elemental mob control
  • Hiskesh is on wyld-watching duty
  • Abhorrent Flower is sitting it out?
EarthScorpion: She isn't so much sitting it out as watching along with her other disciples, having lent two. Keris can guess that she probably intended to step in if it was needed to extract more concessions, but this is rather thwarted by Keris showing up with rather more muscle. When she finds Keris is there, she might provide extra help to claim extra shares of the victory.

Aleph: The latter will mean her guard is up and she'll be using social charms to hide things, and will also let her know I'm prodding at her. But... hmm.

Aleph: If I go in under stealth and she catches me, she'll know that I consider her a threat. If I go in openly, I won't seem quite as much like I'm taking her super-seriously.

I had actually left that in deliberately as a teaser and because we rolled it out before starting the next session, but since two people have brought it up as a possible error, I've removed it again and will include it in the next chapter.
 
When Suriani started flirting with Vali my brain immediately went "oh no, she's going to get herself pregnant by him the moment she realizes that Keris has a huge family complex and she could join her family that way".

But fortunately that didn't happen, and instead we only have to worry about a Dragonblooded woman marrying the Ebon Dragon in a mystical ritual invoking the Yozi's escape from hell. That'll be totally harmless and have no long-term consequences at all, surely.
