An American Telepatth in Berlin 2:

"If you're dead-set on this path, no one can stop you." You stated as the answer caught Erik off guard, making his face morph from that of anger, into confusion.

There was that weird feeling that was probing your head right now, but at the moment, you were feeling the need to remind your friend who you were. Someone dedicated to the belief in the goodness of humanity.

That did not mean you were against Erik's thoughts, far from it. What you wanted was understanding. At least from his perspective.

"What? I thought you would be against it? Would try to persuade me from not seeking it."

"Erik it would be stupid of me to try and talk you out of it, despite my own misgivings on the subject. But it's a dark road that you're treading on, and there's no sense in going at it alone." You replied, feeling a great deal of weight fall off your shoulders as you saw his eyes twinkle, first in curiosity than in a convincing. He was taken aback by the words you had said.

"What? You have been assembling a Nazi-hunting force behind my back?" He asked.

Not me, but my father." You replied. "You aren't the only one seeking to put an end to the Nazis. I cannot agree with your way, but I won't let you do this alone. Others walk the same path too – Germans, Jews. Not all good men, perhaps. But men seek redemption and revenge. And if nothing else, they can find the hiding rats faster than you or I alone."

Erik was quiet, contemplating the facts and the words you had said. "You said your father?"

"He is the minister of intelligence, and I stole and read some of his files." You stated. "He's one of the men who is putting together a team to find the Nazis still in Germany. He may appreciate your help and our… gifts."

Erik smiled. "I hope you put in a good word for me."

You frowned. "Only if he decides to accept you into his team, and that is his decision, not mine."

Charles mind probe: 4

That was when you realized the feeling in your mind was foreign. It was trying to read your thoughts in a way that was invasive and very… weird.

You took a deep breath and focused on the feeling, and tried to put a wall around it. To force it out.

Mental Detection:D100 => 100+20=120

It was not the thoughts of your mind but the boy's thoughts that was at the other table, clearly having no idea what he was even doing, his powers, if it was indeed his powers, was acting out in an unconscious way.

He must not have noticed. If he had he may have either penetrated your mind, sending you into a state of invalidation, like you had seen some men before, shocked out of their mind by trauma or other brain injuries.

Nothing could shock them.

Or maybe he could have just left you alone in a way that you would not notice.

But what he was doing, despite its possible unintentional trespassing of the mind, was still very rude.

And you would not stand having your mind violated, not like this. Not after so much.

You didn't want others to see what you have seen.

Too many like you had.

Mental Defenses: D100 => 99+20=119

"GET OUT!" You screamed in your mind, causing the boy to look at you bewildered, then his companion, who showed concern, shock him as if he was completely lost in thought.

Shocked, confused, even.

Excited. That smile on his face was excited, even though he did something wrong. "Raven." You heard the boy say his name. They said a few words in English before the girl looked at you and Erik.

"Both?" That was the only word that you could pick up, though Erik stood up from his seat, taking a defensive posture.

You adjusted your hat but then realized that both the two of them had come to your table. The boy is ecstatic, the girl less so, but still extremely excited.

"Well, you're like us?" The boy said.

"Excuse me?" You asked, feeling a bit confused.

It was Erik's turn to be defensive. "Who are you?"

"Not a Nazi if it makes you feel any better, my mother is an aid worker and a member of one of a bank trying to expand into Germany." He replied. "My sister and I are taking it as a vacation, while she finishes up business. Charles Xavier and this is my sister, Raven."

"Yes, a vacation in a wartorn and rebuilding country, that has only just recently been reunified because other nations decided it would be better disarmed and humiliated... glad to see that tourism season hasn't been dampened by the fact." You said sarcastically. "Going to the opera in our bombed-out city, pray in the cathedral without a roof? Take the sights of homeless war veterans that fought for a regime that tried to kill our people."

"Not like that you idiot." The Girl, Ravan did not seem so inclined by your humor. She also was rather defensive at the thought of… well seeing you angry, or being accused of being something she was not. "What Charles means… is that we are kinda-"

Erik was the one who answered. "Different?"

Charles gave a sigh. "Well, I apologize if my powers seemed intrusive, but I am still trying to not do so without the consent of others unless lives are at stake."

"Powers?" You asked.

"Of course, my genetic mutation. The same my sister, yourself, and companion all have. Quite a feat really… all of us seemed to gather at a single place, at this time?" He took a breath. "Some would call it coincidence, or fate."

Charles then looked at you. "You are the first person that has ever caught me probing in your mind, apologies by the way, and the first to ever remove my presence. Are you psychic or telepathic perchance?"

You frowned. "No." "Why are we discussing this here? There are safer places I know we can talk about this."

That made Charles smile and then you felt his presence again. But it was not intrusive it was… like a shield. "Because, I have a strong feeling that most everyone here or gazing into this cafe, cannot hear a single thing we are saying, or even see us for that matter."

That made Raven shake her head. "Charles, now your just showing off." She was a lot happier now as if she could finally stop being so responsible. Or she was just happy to see Charles being less… controlling?

"Oh, and do you wish to show off Raven?" He asked.

Raven seemed conflicted. Even, a bit scared. "This isn't like with mom and dad. You helped them see me not as a thing."

Do you encourage Raven to reveal her powers to you?:

[]Yes: It's alright Raven, we're not really normal, and it can't be any worse than and of our powers. Erik knows some great parlor tricks.

[]No: It's okay, you don't have to if you don't want to.
--------------------------------------------------------------

What do you do?:

[]Talk to Charles: He seems awfully knowledgeable about your… Situation? Perhaps he can shed some light on the subject. Also, why is so adamant to keep on probing your mind? Did you start some kind of competition you didn't know about? Also, he claims to be studying genetics… curious?

[]Talk to Raven: She seems rather… well not uncomfortable, but the way she seems to look at you makes you think she's afraid of you. Maybe it's the hat? It must be the hat!

[]Talk to Erik: He's very… confused, conflicted even, perhaps you can just, take a moment to get his opinion on the subject.

An American Telepath in Berlin 3:

[X]No: It's okay, you don't have to if you don't want to.

You felt Charles mind at the precipice of your own as if he was ready to manipulate the memory, in case Raven took it back.

Raven looked scared as she felt, even without realizing what her power was, you knew that she was scared. She did not want to reveal what to her, only Charles knew about her.

You frowned and pushed Charles away from your mind. "It's okay Raven, you don't need to show us if you do not want to."

That made Charles look at you with a slight deflation as if he was hoping that she would choose to show her powers, or for yourself or Erik to try and persuade her otherwise.

Instead, it made Raven let out a breath, a sigh of relief she didn't even know she was holding.

She said nothing, but her gaze of thanks said everything.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[X]Talk to Charles: He seems awfully knowledgeable about your… Situation? Perhaps he can shed some light on the subject. Also, why is so adamant to keep on probing your mind? Did you start some kind of competition you didn't know about? Also, he claims to be studying genetics… curious?

Future Corporations lab was a good place as any to really sit down and try to talk to Charles. Raven was out at the Opera alone, as Charles had decided that talking to you was better than… well being with her.

Something you felt that Raven was going to owe you for because she was extremely happy when Charles stayed with you.

"Is there any reason why you decide to probe my mind? Or is it just the power of a telepath?" You asked.

Charles for his part was lost in thought before he shook his head. "Sorry, just...:" He frowned, before whipping his face with his hand. "Not used to the quiet."

"The Quiet?" You asked.

Charles sighed. "It's impossible to completely cancel out the thoughts and emotions of the rest of the world. Their voices, their thoughts, the evilness and the goodness, all unfiltered, all pushing themselves into my mind. It's why I probe, and blanket out to listen to those thoughts. If I can focus on the good, I won't have to be reminded how evil is."

You frowned. It was always evil in the world that tried to plague the good. But the Good always made the world seem perfect by comparison. "I find it easier to find the good the easier. Because goodness exists in all of us. And with few exceptions… it always wins."

You didn't want to think about the times where it didn't. But they were few. And far between.

At least within memory.

"Perhaps." Charles replied before he peeked at your equipment.

Then you felt the probe, and you've crossed your arms as he smiled. He had gotten you a gap in your defenses. "You want to know how much I really know about people like us?"

"Preferably without reading my mind without my consent." You stated.

Charles held a beaker. "Well I don't know very much about the science behind it, my father has tried to crack the science behind, as he calls it 'The Gene of powers' He believed it was the next step in human evolution."

"Was?" You asked, curious about the sudden past tense.

"He was killed in an atomic bomb explosion in New Mexico two years ago, an accident when the US Army was testing a civilian nuclear reactor." He then frowned, as he shook his head trying to avoid a painful memory.

But you pushed. "What's wrong?" You asked.

Charles took a breath. "She remarried a man my father worked with, Dr. Marko. He abused her. Me and Raven as well. Him and his son."

He stopped before you had a chance to ask. "I forced him to have a mental breakdown, and deem him unfit to be a legal guardian. My mother then shipped my stepbrother to boarding school in Scotland, while Raven and I go to one in America. And of course, we join her whenever we have the chance to travel the world."

"What does your mother do for a living exactly?" You asked.

Charles smiled. "She's a brilliant woman, truly. Though my father was the one who earned the family fortune, she has the brilliance to keep it. She is uncanny, always looking for a new opportunity in the fields of science and medicine."

"Why those industries in particular?" You asked.

Charles smiled. "She hates Stark for not getting that flying car to market. And she always uses a quote from Cicero 'In nothing do men more nearly approach the gods than in giving health to men.'"

You smiled. "She believes that we can become gods by eradicating our diseases?"

Charles shook his head. "No. She believes that giving health to others makes us become those gods, in our own way. Is that not what the Torah says? Save one life, and save the world?"

You nodded. He was right. "But you didn't answer my question on how why you wish to study how our powers came to be?"

Charles twirled around and threw a glass beaker, and you caught it, as he stopped, smiling. "That is the thing. I believe that our powers, despite seeming impossible to appear, are natural. Either by the radiation released by the atomic bombs or just through the power of our genes caused us to mutat. To adapt to change, as Darwin put it."

"Yes, but there is also the problem of how? And why." You stated.

Charles shook his head. "I don't know. It's why I want to study genetics. Perhaps somehow, I can discover the why, even it takes me the rest of my life."

You smiled. "Perhaps you will. And it will change the world."

Charles then took the beaker from your hand. "But why are you going into the pharmaceutical industry. I doubt that you may succeed, the American industry is the best in the world. You won't find any money in that."

"That's where you are wrong Charles." You smiled. "There is so much to discover, that we have barely scratched the surface of. And I wish to break the surface and go into the depth."

A Plan. A dream.

Hope.

That was what you had. And Charles seemed to have it too.

We'll Meet Again:

March 20th, 1949

-[X]Advertising for dummies: You need to get your name out onto the street. (Cost 30,000 Marks, will increase profit roll when you finally unleash a drug, a vaccine, or paper) Rolled: D100 => 28

You smiled as you looked at the ad. "Really going for a fun time, aren't we?"

Erik frowned. "Oh don't be like that. It's fantastic."

The Future Inc Logo was on the flyer, and it was quite good, hell even the slogan was less off-putting than you thought it was. "Shouldn't we try something on the radio?"

Erik frowned. "Too expensive, also, this is something two people can do in a short time."

"But flyers really?" You asked.

"You have a better idea that won't bankrupt us?" Erik asked.

"Well, I still think that once we get a product, Radio and magazine will be the best way to go. But for local usage, perhaps we can use the flyers as an ad in the Newspapers?" You replied. "We already have it made, so we don't need to have an artist hired to make it."

Erik frowned. "If you say."

Reward:

Increase profit when the drug is released.

But profit roll will suffer a -120 to it's roll due to… a not so good ad.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Perform Experiments: You need to get some product, preferably something that works without killing people or causing them nasty side effects (Cost 5,000 Marks) Rolled:D100 => 75

You had done some tests and experiments on a few compounds.

The side effects were negligible, save for nausea. And diarrhea. And the loss of taste

And the loss of feeling on the left side.

At least it didn't last longer than a few minutes.

Though you may have gotten a poor result because of your… mutation and problematic… bodily composition.

Reward: You receive data on a few things. Good thing they did not kill you. However, you have a feeling that it is just your strange body doing the work.

Side Effect roll decreased by a -10.

Other Effect Roll increased by +10.

If you critically fail in producing a drug, have a small chance of creating something else.

If you critically succeed. Have a 90% chance of creating something else.

March 21st.

-[X]The Blue Shades of Raven Darkholme: Raven was grateful when she appeared. "Well… thank you, Heinrich, for not forcing me to reveal my powers to you. It's… wonderful to have someone not make choices for me, and lets me make a choice for myself." Rolled:D100 => 72

Raven was quiet as you both sat on the roof. It was near the morning, and the streets were empty.

Everywhere was quiet. And not a soul was watching, and even Charles was asleep, and you guessed that was not why you felt him

"Hi Raven, take it you are enjoying the sunrise?" You asked.

Raven nodded. "Yeah, it's strange seeing it in the city. I always wake up early and find a spot above the trees on the property to see the sunrise early in the day. The only time I can feel like I can be myself."

She seemed bitter. "Charles means well, but I think he is overprotective because he fears that if I am discovered, he'll never see me again."

You frowned. "He is right to be cautious." There was fear, but you never wished to never feel such a burden. "But that should not mean he controls you."

Raven frowned. "What does that mean?"

"Tell him the truth, and nothing but it." You stated. "Tell him that you wish to a relationship built on trust, and there cannot be trust if he does not realize that you wish to make your own choices. To strike out and learn. To be… Raven?"

Raven frowned. "He never likes it, he always notices my thoughts, and uses my fears into keeping me… staying by his side."

"Than use that against him." You stated. "If he is so afraid of losing you, that he resorts to using his powers, point out the hypocrisy."

"He can force me to stay." She said, a little scared. "He can change thoughts."

"Than tell him this. If you do that. You will not be my brother, but my warden. And I will always look to be free." You stated. "Remind him of the good that he can do, and the evil he is doing."

You then took a breath. "It's a beautiful morning out." You stood next to her. "Can I watch the sunrise with you?"

Raven felt comforted by you, you could see it on her face. "Yeah."

You then saw her body change. Scales and her skin morphed into a blue shade, before she stood before you, naked as the day she was born.

She had orange, almost red hair, and her eyes were a more golden, yellow color.

She was beautiful. The sun was rising as well, just behind her, as the glow illuminated her.

"Thank you, Heinrich." She said, before giving you a kiss on the cheek, and walking away back inside, her body morphing back to the form you saw her in and left you alone.

Whether she was confident… or maybe you had just told her the truth about her situation. It did not matter.

But now you realized something.

You had someone who cared about you too.

Reward:

Raven is now confronting Charles about his control issues, and it may help them both put up their boundaries.

You have helped Raven immensely in finding her own confidence, and in her desire to strike out on her own, to adventure and change the world for the better.

In the rumor mill, Raven will now go on minor adventures and crime-fighting in America, and if she rolls a crit, she may do something amazing.

Charles will now begin his own studies in genetics and will begin a role for his own field study (Genetics). He may also go on minor adventures in America.

How in God's name did you ever have so much lost time?!

So many wasted hours. So many wasted… days even.

Well no more, you are going to use your great time… with great significance.

Reward:

Time management skill is set to 5/5.

+2 to business and Personal Actions.

If you decide to use fewer actions than provided, gain a +20 to all rolls.

-[X]Reclaim Humanity: Erik is on the edge. The evil within him stirs and is waiting for him to give up. You need to remind him that… Life is beautiful. Rolled: D100 => 94

Erik was quiet. You knew what was going on through his head. You had seen it in other men.

In yourself on occasion. But those moments were just that, fleeting moments of rage that quickly subsided.

In Erik, he had remained frightfully… enraged.

There was no stopping his anger, his drive, and thirst for revenge, no more than one could stop the sun. Or help him sleep at night.

As you stood on the roof of Future Corporations, you realized that he could not be saved. At least by you. You both shared the same trauma, but not to the levels that Erik had.

It was not fair to him that you should judge him.

So you didn't.

You waited and waited and waited, for days to weeks, before he finally came to you.

And he did. Just as you thought he would, after finishing the operation.

His face was… empty.

His rage gone. He looked to you with empty eyes.

He had gotten the revenge he so craved. "You never thought about how hard it was… taking their lives?"

Erik frowned. "It was remarkably easy." He said, completely deadpan, causing you to feel slightly worried. "And it frightened me."

"In what way?" You asked.

"I had turned these men into monsters in my mind. Irredeemable filth that humanity would not stand for. That I was the avenging angel, bringing their pain onto them." He said.

You saw him look away. "I injected metal into them, tortured them." He turned away in shame. "I turned their bodies inside out, while they were still alive. The men I was with cheered. Some called it vengence for millions. I felt vindicated."

You made him look at you as you moved in front of his gaze. "How can I go back to my wife as the same monster these men were. That I tortured them the same way, I was tortured. Without humanity. Without anything at all."

He took a breath, pausing, letting himself relax. "I can see why you were so against it."

"And yet you are still here, talking to me, instead of being with your wife, whom it would be far more appropriate to have this conversation with." You muttered, feeling slightly sarcastic. "Instead you're with me."

"My wife, is many things, Heinrich. A fountain of wisdom about killing the men who tortured her and her people in pseudo-scientific experiments to prove racial superiority…. She is not." Erik replied. "I need a better, less biased perspective."

"I was tortured and shot by Nazi's too." You muttered. "And I was experimented on as well, so what makes you think I will be any help?"

"As I said, less biased, not unbiased," Erik replied, feeling better, even now. "As for why? You're a good man. A far better man than I will ever be."

You were touched by his honesty. "I said that revenge was not justice. And what you did was not justice. You allowed your rage to control you. To become the monster that Schmit wanted you to be. I say become better. Don't let your powers, or the trauma that these men have caused you, destroy you. Let it help you. Let it help your wife and family, whenever you have one, never make the choices you had to make today."

Erik smiled at that. "Are you sure your powers aren't infinite wisdom?"

"No. I just believe that men are good. And you are good Erik, despite everything that has happened." You then stood up. "Now, come along Erik, I need some help with something."

"Another mad experiment that will knock you out for days?" Erik asked.

"Hopefully not." You replied.

Reward: Erik is coming back from the brink.

He may wish for revenge, but not the one that takes away from justice. He may kill, but he will never revel in it, or torture another person.

He is becoming a far better man. He may forever have blackened armor, seeking to do only what he thinks is right, but he is still a knight and in the end, he will do the right thing.

It just might take him a while to do it.

You smiled at the great vials and the needles that were on the table. "Well shit Erik, If I die, I leave the company to you."

"The hell am I going to do with a Pharmaceutical company when I have no experience in the field when its founder killed himself by testing an experimental drug, and when I have told you to not do it." Erik replied as he got some shackles ready.

"Well, if nothing else, you can sell the brand into something else. Maybe even have fun." You said. "Why do you have shackles?"

"Cause knowing experiments with you, id rather be safe than sorry." Erik replied.

"Fuck you."

"Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Erik joked.

"Do you kiss your wife with that mouth?"

"Yes, I do so much more with it too, would you like to know?" Erik said with a smile.

"You are insanely difficult to work with, you know that?"

"Only because you are." Erik replied.

"Erik, tell me how you feel?" You asked as you began taking notes.

"Besides my pants feeling tight?" Erik replied.

"Erik, I'm asking you to be serious." You replied.

Erik frowned. "So am I. As you can tell, my erection is in fact making it very uncomfortable. And why are you using me as a test subject anyway?"

"None of the volunteers showed up." You stated, "hell I put an ad out in the paper, and not a single person called or showed up."

"I think the fact you said that the drug had unknown side effects may have waved people away." Erik replied. "And what am I, the test subject?"

"Control actually, I wanted to see what would happen when this drug was used by a healthy, sexually active young man." You replied, taking more notes. "Can you hold still while I take your pulse?"

You used a stethoscope and measured his heart rate. 120 BPM's earlier. Now it was 140… he was very nervous. Blood pressure was good.

After all your experiments, you had a base. And while Erik was uncomfortable that you were subjecting him to a few experiments, you were happy to hear that the two of them were enjoying the other side effect.

The positive effect.

You then learned after over two thousand tests with over 500 men, you discovered that… it was indeed what you discovered.

It was a male fertility drug, in addition to a cure for erectile dysfunction.

Well. That was not what you were expecting. Hell, it's not what you wanted.

Yet that was going to be something you need to work on. Separating the two medicines before you could send it to market.

Reward: You have invented a treatment, a very effective one at that, one that has a very interesting effect.

It's a libido enhancer, meaning that the male who takes part in intercourse can go on for much longer at least in the male.

Due to this, it can serve as a duel medicine, and without any ill effect, save for the possibility of it being abused, and the very, very, very negligible possibility of erectile dysfunction being only partially cured.

Also, You will see a Profit roll increase by 100 if you take it to market in this form.

-[X]Develop Medicine: You are going to need to start experimenting with something (Cost 5,000 Marks) Treatment for Halopecia Rolled: D100 => 28+20=48

You were so busy with the other… medicine that you failed to really work on it.

Failure.

-[X]Operation Eir: You wish to help Father and Erik with hunting the last of the Nazi Scum in Germany. Rolled: D100 => 6+20=26

"I'm coming with you." You proclaimed as you tried to force your way past Erik. "I need to."

"No, you don't." Erik replied as he pushed you back into the building. "You told me once that-"

"This is different." You replied. "I know where my heart is when it comes to these men."

"Yes. I know. But I know there is one thing you have that is better than this justice." Erik stated.

"And what is that Erik?" You were going to feel cheated.

"You, being safe." Erik said. Before everything went dark with a punch in the face.

Failure.

You and Erik need to talk about what you consider safe.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Learn a New Skill: You want to learn something useful: Martial Arts Rolled: D100 => 50+15+20=85

Even when you were not going out, you learned how to fight.

Sure it was with a baton, but that was something awesome.

Reward:

Baton 4/5 You are skilled at using a wooden stick to beat the crap out of people.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Learn a New Skill: You want to learn something useful: Investigation Rolled:D100 => 95+15+20=130

You wouldn't call yourself a detective.

That would be a disservice to any detective who would be on your level.

You were better.

Sherlock Holmes wishes he was as good as you.

Reward:

Investigation 5/5 You are the quintessential detective, and possibly, save for maybe one or two other people, you are the best detective in the world. (+20 to all investigation rolls)

New Actions now gain a roll bonus and outcome.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Pray: You feel empty inside. Perhaps God can help you feel whole. To stop feeling so sad. Rolled: D100 => 10+20=30
"Hello Child of my greatest foe, Fellow Mutant."
You are quiet.
" You cannot hear me now, but soon, you will."
You think you hear something… but then nothing.
" And when you do, it will be… glorious.
And you decided to go to sleep. You didn't feel better. But you didn't feel any worse.
" My Horseman of Death."
Reward: You don't feel anything.
Apocolypse begins to stir. And he has chosen you as his horseman of Death.

Erik:D100 => 97
Magda:D100 => 73

To describe the moment of joy, and happiness between a mother and father is something that can only ever be felt by the two people in the world.

When the two helped bring their daughter, Anya into the world, it was like all the pain and hardship that both had suffered in the camps, in the aftermath, struggling to find themselves in a world that they did not know they belonged in.

Yet now they have. They had friends, family… and they had each other.

Perhaps, after all they had suffered. They could build a better future for themselves, and for the family that was now their's.

Reward: Welcome to the World, Anya Lansherr.

May your family be one of strength and hope.

And maybe Uncle Heinrich can Spoil you with money, power, and all-around be a good friend.

There is light in Eriks heart, for the first time in years.

May it never go out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hans Oster:D100 => 61

He can safely say that he was growing old. But he was not dead yet.

He had one last mission. One Last Mission.

He loaded his pistol. Heinrich would understand.

He'd have to.

Johan Liebert:D100 => 81

He smiled at the old General. "You come alone old man. If you were this persistent during the war, we may have won.

Oster spat on his face and drew his pistol. "You are a disgrace to Germany. We have finally gotten free of the horrors of our past and making ourselves better. Yet you would drag us back to the depths."

"The Depths, spoken from a man who has never known the heights of the glory of combat." Johan stated.

"Careful boy. I fought in both wars." Oster spat.

"Yet here you are, an old man with a gun. Struggling to use it." Johan smiled. "Let me help you."

And Oster's world went silent, as a bullet hit his side, and his gun dropped to the floor. "See. Like so."

Johan walked over and kicked the still bleeding wound, before tisking. "You know, before i learned of your treasons, I respected you." He then placed the gun back into Oster's hand. "Now, do what I want… and try to blow my brains out, before you lose consciousness."

Oster gagged, trying to heave the pistol up. "Let me help you." Johan then picked up Oster, clawing his hands into his wounds.

"AHH!" Oster screamed in pain.

"Come on you old soldier. Kill me! I want to see if you have stregnth to do that!?" Johan demanded, placing the gun on his head. "KILL!"

Oster's world then became black and he collapsed on the floor.

Johan took a breath. Than two. "How disappointing." He turned to his men. "Well, what are you waiting for, dump him in a police station, maybe he might survive again. And I want to make a message to our associates who have escaped. Tell them, they are no longer required."

"What about Schmit?" A man asked.

"That doctor… can go fuck himself. I have no wish to have Hydra try to sully my orginization. This is a business after all. Not a science experiment.

Reward: Hans has tried and failed to bring Johan in. He's now wounded.

Johan has cut ties with his fellow Nazi's striking out as a criminal, on his own.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charles Xavier:D100 => 63

Charles Xavier has graduated from High School and is going to England to work with Rosiland Franklin, and two men named Watson and Crick.

They are trying to find out the true source of Humanities genes.

So to speak.

Reward: Charles is now in England, trying to help further the field in genetics while earning his doctorate.
=======================================================

James "Logan" Howlet:D100 => 88

Sargent Howlet was relieved from duty, after a very long career in the American Army, and has gone back to Canada, hopefully, to have a quieter retirement.

Preferably with beer, cigars, and tons of ladies of the night to join him

Though there are rumors that he may join the UN Peacekeepers as a special operations officer, as he has been approached by numerous American special operators to join as a mercenary for adventures in Africa.

But for now, he has plenty of time to enjoy the woods.

Reward: Logan has a nice retirement… hopefully. He might just decide to go out in the world because he's bored.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dum Dum Dugan:D100 => 53

Dum Dum has taken a back seat, and has, well, in his own words "Taken a desk job at MI5"

No one believes him.

Dum Dum is trying to take some time to relax.

Reward: There is something fishy about the crew. But the Howling Commandos are now, officially, disbanded.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Raven Darkholme: D100 => 98

What She Chose:D5 => 3

Raven smiled at the cameras as she took a deep breath. "Well. what are you waiting for?"

The Photographer was surprised. "One second. In one month, you'll be on the front cover of the largest magazine on the planet."

The flashes were blinding. But Raven smiled.

Reward: Raven Darkholme is now taking a job as a model.

She has attracted a lot of attention from the media types, perhaps wishing to use her as a new starlet.

(Raven chose to use her powers to become rich and famous, along with expressing herself artistically. Don't worry though… we'll get to her becoming a badass later.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Col Nick Fury:D100 => 74

He sighed. "What is my new assignment?"

"The President and Commander Carter are very adamant about this new organization. They need your expertise."

"So you want me out of the way?"

"In a place where you can do good, Nick."

"Tell me its name."

"The Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division."

"What the hell kind of name is that?"

"The good kind. Commander Carter will be waiting for you."

"Huh… it means shield."

Reward: Nick Fury has finally joined SHIELD.

The world can breathe easier now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Robert Grayson:D100 => 50

He floated. And kept himself looking at the great beings of Uranus. "I'm ready!" He said, with a smile on his face.

"Than go." The Collective said. "Go be our question, and see how humanity answers."

Reward: Robert Greyson, Marvel Boy, is returning to Earth.

May the World be ready for a whole new Solar System?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Namor:D100 => 10

Namor felt strange. He opened his eyes and noticed he was in the garbage again. His clothes dirty. And a hole where his memory was.

He did not know who he was, or what he was. All he knew, was that he was alone. And he was scared.

Reward: Namor has been exiled from Atlantis. His memory lost.

His identity was lost.

He is now alone.

AN: No Nations this time.

But hey... adventures.

Money, Wealth, Power
Money, Wealth, Power:

December 23rd, 1949

You looked at the document after the taxes were finally filed on the company. Millions. Hundreds of Millions. You were the sole proprietor of one of the most successful companies on the planet. You had made the lives of millions of men better, now that they can finally, do their business with their wives, girlfriends, and lovers.

It was almost too much to take in. You were so rich that it was almost impossible to comprehend.

Yet you were not worried about the money, power, or success.

You were with your friend, watching his daughter sleep. "Henrich, what if she is like us?" He asked as he turned to face you.

"What do you mean, she already is. You're raising her as a Jew, and an open one at that. Why should you be worried." You replied. "That is far more than both of us had."

Erik shook his head. "That's not what I meant. I mean… us."

You did not show any concern. "And what does that have to do with anything?"

Erik frowned. "I think we both know what that means."

It was your turn to shake your head and feel a sense of shame in his concern. "We'll figure it out. Unlike us, she won't have to do it alone."

Erik huffed, letting you feel a small sense of comfort within his own worries. "Guess your right, and we can ask Charles or Raven for help."

You smiled, finally seeing him come to your way of thinking. "see it's good to have optimism in the world. Perhaps now we can deal with your… other issues."

"My other issues?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, confused and somewhat worried.

"The fact that you really don't do much in the company." You stated. "I mean, you protect me, and the drugs, and that is nice. But I think you deserve a promotion."

Erik frowned. "You just want to do less work don't you."

You smiled. "Your bloody right I do. I am so tired that I don't sleep that much anymore, and I'm thinking of inventing a stimulant to help me continue working."

"You need help, you workaholic," Erik stated.

"I can rest when all the Nazis are dead, or I become the richest person in the world."

Rapid Expansion

-[X]Just Give him a Raise: "Erik, be honest with me, do you really want more responsibility, or do you want a huge pile of money every year and your family comfortable?" (Increase wages to 1 million Marks a year. Erik will have an increased chance to join you on adventures without prompting or asking)

January 5th, 1950

Erik was astounded by the amount of money in front of him. "Truly?"

"That's what friends are for… plus I really wanted to make things comfortable for your family." You replied.

Reward: Erik is now paid a million marks a year.

There is a chance he may join you on an adventure without asking.

-[X]Buy a House: To be honest, you didn't think you needed a place to stay that wasn't The Old Mans. How wrong you were. Who knew travel time was such a bitch. (Cost: 500,000. Gain an additional action.) Rolled: D100 => 51+20=71

It was small, cramped, and otherwise, a damp and dirty place that could use a clean-up. But it was close to work, you could sleep and even take care of yourself.

Though most of the time, you just slept in the place, and called it home.

Reward: +1 personal action.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Hire Employees: You need more hands-on-deck, preferably people who are loyal and not Nazis. (Cost 1,000,000 Marks. Due to Skills, and wealth, you will have high-quality staff.) Rolled: D100 => 1+20=23

Assassination Roll:D100 => 17-40 (Erik)=-33

You were thankful that Erik was there with you, because you were sure without him, you would have died.

"DIE JUDEN!" The man shouted.

For a moment, you had always thought back to Schmit, the man who held a gun to your head all those years ago, when having the fear of God being put into you.

You had hoped that these people would see your vision. The Hope was dashed by this… madness. Hatred and Madness.

Erik had changed the bullet trajectory. Missing your head.

But you realized something. Even if you wished for change.

They would never accept it from you.

Failure.

The Trauma is starting to surface.

You are now a target of Assassination in Germany.

-[X]Develop Medicine: You are going to need to start experimenting with something (Cost 5,000,000 Marks) (Write in what vague idea you wish to start developing, like say, a flu vaccine, a malaria treatment, or something like that)
--[X]Malaria Treatment Rolled: D100 => 4+20=24
Other Effects:D100 => 10+20-10=20
Side Effects:D100 => 100-20+10=90

You had hoped to create an effective treatment, and you did.

But the cost was far to much to even consider putting it to Market.

The drug you had weakened the immune system to another disease, and while the potency of the treatment was otherwise…

Poor.

If the person survives the infection, they would be bedridden for days, and possibly even in worse shape to actually care for malaria infection.

Failure: The Drug is too dangerous to use and too dangerous to put to market.

It is more poison than a treatment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-[X]Learn a New Skill: You want to learn something useful (Write in Skill you wish to learn and line tail below)
--[X]Genetics Rolled: D100 => 1+20+15=36

How in blazes did you manage to learn nothing at all, and this pseudo-science that the Nazis wished to spoil.

For the love of god… Why were you surrounded by idiots?

But you did manage to learn something from the English.

Reward:

Genetics set to 1/5.

Gain Skill Genetics(1/5): You are a student of Genetics and the discovery of how humanity is the way it is.

--[X]Jewish Theology Rolled: D100 => 2+20+15=37

You did not feel the comfort of the words of Hebrew when you read the Torah.

There was nothing comforting about it. It was stories of people that for so long were lost. Yet it was found again according to the Papers.

The state was there. Being fought for.

But you didn't want to look into the past. Only the future.

Reward.

Jewish Theology set to 1/5

-[X]The Movies of Raven Darkholme: Raven? She's in a movie? What in sam hell made her think that was a good idea? Well, might as well see it, just because now. Rolled: D100 => 99+20=109

The Movie was an American mystery, a detective story starring some unknown Actress as the female lead. Called: The Siren.

It was only when the credits rolled and you saw Raven's name on the picture that your interest was peaked.

And she was good. Really Really good.

She must have used her powers to make her look just a little different in every scene she was in, to make her seem different. But not in a way that couldn't be explained away by hair and makeup.

Otherwise, she was the best part of a very forgettable mystery film.

And when you checked Hollywood news, you realized something incredible.

There was a war going on for her to sign on as a contract. So to speak of course. She was the hottest, talented and gifted Actress that was currently working. And while the academy would not give her any sort of accolades, you were pretty sure she could rake in the dough.

Reward: Raven is doing well for herself.

New Action Available.

Unknown Effect.

-[X]The Rivalry of Scholars: Charles, why have you invited me to London, and why are you so… annoyingly happy? Did you win something? Rolled: D100 => 58+20=78

Charles was jumping in his seat as he kept playing with his papers. "Tea?"

"No." You replied. "Why did you call me to London? Besides possibly putting me in danger from the local CIA agents wishing to kidnap me?"

"The CIA agents are actually under orders to protect you right now. The KGB is under orders to observe you." Charles replied. "So your safe."

"And the thing you wanted to talk to me about?" You asked. "I've slogged through too many German research papers to really make things known that we germans are not the pinnacle of science anymore. At least in the field of genetics."

Charles leaned in and whispered. "I found it."

"The what?" you asked.

"The Gene that granted us our powers." He said.

That made you raise an eyebrow. "Don't tell me it's some atomic mutation that corrupted our genes prior to our birth, because then you'll sound like that Nazi Magale that does not deserve any paper worth the name."

"No. It's something else." He replied. "We've discovered a structure within our cells, that we believe is the building blocks or all our cells and possibly even life. It's just a theory, but they might hold the key to how we developed mutation."

"Seems like an awfully big if." You replied.

"I know, but if it's true?"

"What, you think we can discover why mutations occur, and why we happen to have it?" You asked.

"Yes." Charles said.

You nodded. "Alright, I'll keep in touch."

Reward: Charles is on the cusp of discovering the X Gene, and along with contributing heavily into what is now being known as DNA research.

New Actions will be available during the 60's.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You were invited to a special something, you couldn't remember.

What was it again?:

[]To China: It seems the Generalisimo Chaing Kai Shek wishes to meet a non-American, or British medical company to work on the small but possibly growing medical industry in China. Along with possibly combating a very real problem with traditional Chinese medicine affecting his troop's morale, and his citizen's health.

[]To Japan: There was a medical conference in Japan, where the Imperial family is actually offering you an award for helping… solve the Imperial families fertility crisis.

[]To America: You need to break bread with the American FDA, and prove to them that your drug for erectile dysfunction… and male fertility, was safe for the American market.

AN: Enjoy.

The Great Asian War 1: Trouble in Shanghai
The Great Asian War 1: Trouble in Shanghai

June 1st, 1950, Shanghai, Republic of China
Customs House, Meeting of the Delegation for the Reunification of China

Rolf Pauls was quite furious as he started pacing the floor at the Delegation. Both the Communists and the Republic's delegations had stormed out of the room after the fiery speeches of the Generalisimo, Chaing Kai Shek, made very loud and very pointed accusations of the CCP's stranglehold on power within the first assembly, where he loudly proclaimed that "Sun Yat Sen's Dream would be strangled as it takes its first steps."

There were other people who made similar proclamations, but you did not really understand them, as despite your phrasebook and the translators. Your Mandarin and Cantonese were not up to par with many others.

You had trusted Pauls, he was one of the members of the now-famous "Circle of Sacred Germany" in Germany, the men who had plotted, and planned, and executed Hitler, and ended the war. A group you were a member of, which gave a great deal of respect, from the bodyguards, and the man himself.

"Well, that went well." You stated as you saw Rolf shake his head. "Let's be happy they didn't start shooting at each other right now. Thought it might have saved us some trouble finding out who is to blame for all this."

"We will have only a few days to stop another war from blowing up in our face." He replied as he looked back at you with a glint in his eyes. "I know your father forced you into this position, and hoped that you would be of use."

"Must I always be the subject of machinations beyond my control? I'm no patriot to Germany, much less one that has good reason to not be involved." You replied. "I am here to make a business plan with the Republic of China. And now I'm forced to not to because it would be seen as a conflict of interest."

Pauls nodded. "As much as you may hate it. You are now possibly the only person in this room, that the Chinese might be willing to listen to. They did not want to have the Americans or soviets serve as mediators to this meeting because they do not trust the superpowers to have their interests at heart."

"And they trust a broken, shattered nation that has only recently become whole again, with no ability to back any agreement that they might potentially have made?" You asked. "I'm not seeing the calculus here? What would they gain from Germany as a mediator?"

"Plausible deniability, and cover perhaps?" Pauls replied, questioning the possibility of it. "We are at an impossible crossroads, where Germany once again might decide the fate of the world."

You rolled your eyes. "Goddammit. Why can't we have a normal meeting, where Profit can be made for those all around… and I can go home without worrying about another war."

"Well, will you help us do such a thing boy?" Rolf asked.

"And if I choose not to? I want to help the people of China overcome their diseases, not play politics." You replied.

Rolf shook his head. "I'm not forcing you to do anything. But think of the people of China then."

"Wars can be stopped through diplomacy." You replied. "Disease, unfortunately, do not care for words." You replied as you stood up.

What do you do?:

[]Help Them (For the Republic): "Fine. I'll go to the General, see If I can't convince him to recall the meeting. Possibly with less inflammatory language."

[]Help Them (For the People): "I shall go to the Delegation of the CCP, maybe I can convince them that the fearmongering should not persuade them to give in to fear. Show strength perhaps?"

[]Do not Help Them (For Fun and Profit): You are here to make a deal with the Generalissimo. He better have his pocketbook ready.

[]Do not Help Them (For All Mankind): "I have lives to save Ambassador. So do not stop me from doing that."

AN: enjoy.

The Great Asian War 2: To Grow and Live.
The Great Asian War 2: To Grow and Live.

June 2nd, 195, 5:31 PM, Local Time
Shanghai China. Lee-Gen Clinic.

You took a deep breath as you finished cleaning your hands, counting to five as you said. "Next." You had tried your best, but be it as it may, you were still only one person, working with people whose idea of modern medicine was… lacking.

That did not mean they were incompetent, no, the doctors of this clinic, Dr. Lee and Dr. Wong were experts at what you would consider advanced first aid and traditional Chinese medicine and if they were able to take time to study, you would admit that they would be fantastic medical doctors in a more modern sense. In fact, the tips you gave them both made their patients feel better, and make this clinic into one of health and wisdom in equal measure.

They were cleaning their hands regularly, sterilizing all their equipment, and even used more modern medicines, like vaccines for several ailments, like the flu, and smallpox, which they did regularly.

Unfortunately, despite being more forward-thinking in their ways, even allowing you to work among them for the foreign visitors, they still practiced medicine that you could not reasonably call safe, ethical, or healthy for themselves and the patients.

The concoctions they came up with, using rhino tusks, among other things, were terrible for their patients. Some of the tea remedies were actively poisonous, and if it were not for you constantly warning the two men about the potential allergic reactions that one patient was going to suffer, that child would have died.

But the day was close to an end, and the two men had prepared a pot of tea, as they sat, waiting for you.

Both men took a moment to glance at each other before both drank some tea. "So, Heirich." Dr. Wong was the only one of the two who spoke German, being part of Von Falkenhausen's Trained Divisions of Soldiers during the civil war, a survivor of the First Defense of Shanghai. "Tell me, where did a boy like you learn to become a doctor?" He asked.

You shook your head. "I learned from textbooks and others. It came rather easily after that."

Dr. Lee then said something to his colleague. And Wong Translated. "What of your… other proclivities?"

"What? What does that even mean?" You asked.

Wong then shook his head. "Sorry, the wrong word, I meant to say, do you feel… a connection to this place, to our country?"

You frowned. "I don't feel any connection with any place, only the people that I care for."

Lee turned to face his colleague, before shrugging. "Have you tried meditation, to feel your spiritual energies?"

You frowned. "No offense, but I don't think taking part in such rituals will be good for my soul."

That made Lee laugh, and Wong to join him with a softer chuckle. "You strange people with your strange customs. We are not asking you to convert, merely to feel the energy around you. Like, as some of your priests would say, 'feeling God's presence among the world'"

You frowned as you took a deep breath. "I mean, I'll try. But I'd rather pray to my God than try and find him."

"What makes you think prayer and meditation are different. They are merely two different ways for one to feel the energy around you. Perhaps open your mind to what can be seen, and perhaps, you can see something else." He replied. "So stop being a child, and try it."
------------------------------------------------------------

You were alone, sitting on the top of the roof, watching the sunset. Perhaps it was something silly, but Wong was adamant to try it. You were going to sit there, and try.

You sat cross-legged on the ground and took a deep breath. The air was clean, despite the city's pollution. And the air smelled of flowers.

And you closed your eyes.

The Feeling?:D100 => 90

And you felt it.

The feeling within you. The energy that swirled within your belly, your blood, your mind even. It was something that felt foreign to you, but completely normal.

And then you saw it?

What did you see:

[]The Spirit of the Monkey King: The Monkey looked at you with a smile. "So, you finally took a chance to do something new? Well then, welcome to China… and might I say, you need a tail, can't be me without a tail?"

[]The Angel: The Angel was quietly reading one of his books, as he looked up. "Oh thank god, it's not, Aziraphale and Crowley… Wait, your human. Oh, this is troubling? Are you Jesus?"

[]Nothing: You were awoken by an explosion. What did they do?!

AN: Enjoy.

The Great Asian War 3: Angels
The Great Asian War 3: Angels

The Angel was not biblically accurate, as you were not rendered blind by the sheer horror of geometric shapes that should not make sense. Nor was it accurate to the Talmud or the Torah.

In fact, for a moment, you thought you were seeing a devil or the devil himself, because out of all the beings that could look somewhat human among the biblical or other cannon… you assumed it would be Lucifer.

Now you weren't a Christian by any means, but those dammed catholic art pieces were coming to mind. He looked like a man, a man who was both ancient, and young. His hair was seemingly changing color every moment in the sun, and his skin was like a man from your homeland, Israel. Not one who was part of the Diaspora. But one that never left.

This man was… well he looked like a man who looked far too pretty to be a person who was alive. Hell, you think this… thing was a boy and a girl mixed in some unholy combination.

The Angel was reading a book, taking a long, labored, and content breath as he looked up for a moment.

Then the book dropped and the Angel took a moment to look at you, before picking up another book from behind his back. "Oh thank God, your not, Aziraphale and Crowley…" There was a pause before the book dropped and the Angel rose to his feet, wings behind his back.

"Wait, your human?" you nodded as the Angel looked at his dropped books, and then back to you. "Oh, this is troubling? Are you Jesus?"

You raised an eyebrow. "I would hope not, I'm a doctor, not a carpenter, and I am rather not expecting to die by a Roman Crucification."

That made the Angel touch your arm, and you felt his power before he sighed in relief. "Oh thank goodness, sorry for that, I just wanted to make sure this was not some prank that would start another religious war. Crowley made some man here in China believe he was the Brother of Jesus, and it took ages to clean up."

You raised an eyebrow. "Well right now, it's a rather secular conflict going on right now. No religion involved, unless you consider the state a religion now?"

You took a deep breath before looking at the angel. The Angel himself was rather surprised by your lack of surprise. "I'm sorry, most people would be groveling at my feet or screaming in pain. Or running away. Why are you not?"

"Because you're not the strangest thing or person I have seen in my life." You replied. "Plus most angels that tend to show up are bad news. Unless your telling me otherwise?"

The Angel then nodded. "Well, I suppose introductions are in order." He then gave a bow. "Remiel at your service Henrich Oster. I am your guardian angel."

You were quiet for a moment. "Where were you when I was getting tortured, getting shot in the head, or otherwise in glorious amounts of pain?"

Remiel was quiet for a moment. Taking a moment to find the right words to answer. "I never said was a good one. I was only in charge of weather, hope, and knowledge until about a century ago. To be honest, I'm still learning the ropes. Not like Mike who's done this since the start."

You were confused. "So God, and the Angels, Lucifer-"

"All real, and Lulus a dick, but not as bad you people make him out to be. He is, as you would call it, more in touch with humanity than he has any right to be." Remiel stated as he opened his book.

"But why are you here?" You asked.

Remiel shook his head. "China has always been a hotbed for mystical activities. Even from beings that have no place to be in it. Like myself. Now there is but a problem with that. I need help."

"With what?" You asked.

"You see, there is an angel, you probably know him, he's been captured by the Heavenly bureaucracy of China. And I need to spring him before things get dicey."

"And what do I have to do with this?" You asked.

"Oh absolutely nothing, I can deal with it myself, but you just happened to show up and make things difficult for me. I am corporeal now. And now they can find me."

"Sorry for that." You replied.

"Oh, it's not your fault. Better me than Sun Wukong, he would have dragged you onto an adventure through a warzone. That fool is too aggressive for his own good." Remiel took a breath and waved his wings. "So, Until we meet again?"

Do you offer to help Remiel?:

[]Wait, let me help you with this, they will never expect a mortal.

[]Until we meet again.
