I just realized I forgot the -3 on the Beetle Charge turn, but I'll let you guys keep the 3 extra points of damage as compensation for literally 3 nat1s in a row

By using both our action and Beetle Charge on the Ladybug, doesn't that make it so that we're guaranteed to drop a realm, since we also need to spend an action to clean the breakthrough gunk to cultivate?

We get 4 turns leeway now, and we can't use beetle charge to do a different thing than our turn action. It repeats what we do. It doesn't give us an action to spend as we like.

And with the ladybug dead we can cultivate outside (at some risk, but not 100% going to be attacked).

With the ladybug dead, you can instead cultivate outside of your dwelling without suffering a guaranteed attack from the ladybug. It only risks summoning another predator but it's not a guaranteed thing.

You know... I almost want to start cultivating outside consistently. Predators are not a bad thing. They accelerate us a lot when we kill them and with beetle charge killing them is something we can do.

We need to cultivate after "tomorrow"'s fight because of our cultivation timer, right? so might as well plan 2 days, we don't have a choice on D33 unless we wanna lose that progress

Even with beetle charge it's a 50/50 if we kill the beetle this round. We need to do 14 damage and we average exactly 14 damage. If we fail to kill it we want to try again. If we kill it we want to cultivate. We cannot do contingent actions so because we want to do one or the other we need to do a 1 turn plan.

[x] Plan Super Dead Ladybug
-[x] D32: Attempt to drive away the Ladybug (47/60)
--[x] D32: Use Beetle Charge
-[x] D33: Cultivate outside your lair (Ladybug will attack-- you cannot counterattack)

We might as well add the cultivation in there since we have to do it.

There's no choice. We either cultivate or we drop all the way back to Initial 1st Stage. At which point the ladybug will be stronger than us on top of its natural battle power. In fact we will straight up die.

We are only surviving the HP loss because our realms give us additional HP. If we go back to just having 10 HP, then we will have too much damage and die.

Ah, you are correct. That's a problem then. Yeah, we gotta cultivate. We likely end up dead if the ladybug isn't dead, but maybe dice don't screw us for once.

Actually even if the Ladybug attacks us we'll probably be okay. Unless the ladybug manages to roll maximum damage on both this counterattack and the cultivation hit.

We'll probably starve though. Since we would have to roll 19 to get 2 food which is impossible with the hunger penalties.
